I woke up early this morning even after getting to sleep late last night. But I also took a 3 hour nap yesterday.
Lola really hates her medicine. The stuff she got from the other vet, she tolerated a lot more.
It has been super windy here since yesterday with wind gusts to over 40 mph! Sounds like a hurricane outside! The palm trees are really swaying!
I may end up feeling my first earthquake. There has been a large cluster of small earthquakes just north and west of here (near LA/Riverside area) over the past couple weeks. I haven't felt any yet but there was one yesterday that was a 3.2. If they get bigger, I will probably notice them here. Luckily, they are not on the San Andreas fault line. I read that the small clusters are a good thing since they supposedly release the pressure on the fault line a little at a time rather than one big release and jolt.
Found out that not only is my dad's house coming down at the end of the summer, but they are also removing all the 100+ year old oak trees in his yard! That is just heartbreaking! The whole neighborhood is full of those beautiful trees! My dad would be very upset! He actually moved the plans for his house a few feet over in order to save one of the oak trees from being cut down before his house was built. Several years ago when the city was planning to widen the streets in the neighborhood, they planned to cut down over 50 of the oak trees along the streets for it. The neighbors got together and complained, and got the city to only remove about 15 instead.
That is too bad about the farmers not being able to plant corn this year. That will surely drive the prices way up.
I need to figure out who to call about the jury duty I got the letter for yesterday. It is in San Diego and I no longer live there. Will have to check the letter and see if there is a phone number on it somewhere.
Will be staying home today to get stuff put away before bringing in more stuff. Want to pay off some bills today. Need to call the guy who offered to help me move my furniture in.
Hope you all have a good day!
