Remember "Rabbits"!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Remember "Rabbits"!

Postby BarbaraRose » Fri May 31, 2019 10:33 am

Good morning gals!

Got some docusign forms from Gina at escrow in Palm Springs yesterday to sign that had gotten missed earlier. Got those done. Then got a call later from Gina saying I needed to sign documents. I told her I had just signed them. She said no, they had sent me paper documents and I hadn't returned them. After going back and forth, it turns out she was calling from the Vista escrow. Turns out there is a Gina at both escrow offices!! How confusing is that?? :? So I did find the paper ones she was talking about and I got those signed, found the title (that I couldn't find earlier) and the registration, so I will be heading over to the Vista escrow at 10 this morning to take care of that. Need to call the other escrow office with some questions too.
Termite inspector comes by at noon for final inspection of work under house.

Then finish up packing the little bit left that I didn't get to last night because of the escrow stuff. Then start cleaning.

It is cloudy again this morning (May Gray where the marine layer moves further inland and hangs around most of the day) but hoping the sun comes out later in the day. Still have a few things outside I need to take care of too.

Need to remember Rabbits tonight!

Hope you all have a safe, dry and fun day! :D

Well, since no one else is on here today, I will add a few things...

First, I got my final paycheck and did not get paid for my sick time so I need to get on someone's butt to get that taken care of ASAP.

Second, the termite inspector came out and found a couple things the repair guy missed so he has to come back out and get that fixed tomorrow before the inspector can sign off on the repairs.

Last but definitely not least... I just was notified that I won't be able to close on the Indio house until JUNE 21st!! :o

Apparently, the seller, who is in Greece, has some documents that still need to get taken care of and, being in another country, needs to got thru a bunch of red tape with the Greek consulate to get them notorized, etc. and can't get that done for three more weeks! I just hit the roof when I heard that and made a call to my agent wanting to know where the heck I am supposed to stay for 3 weeks and who is gonna pay for it, plus pay for my storage fees for the additional time!
She has contacted the sellers agent who is contacting the seller to see if I can still move into the house on the 4th anyways since she isn't living there. Otherwise she said I WILL be compensated for any and all costs for the delay. I sure hope so! I am still shaking...

Quiet morning coffee today. I'm sure you'll be very happy to have this move over and done with, Barbie.

I'm definitely hoping to remember rabbits... I need all the good juju I can get this month, too.

Barbie, do you think they could make your sale and purchase any more complicated.

I had a lady show up to look at my motorhome. She likes it but wants to get it checked out. I told her to find someone to do it and I would bring it. I normally don't have anything to do every week but this coming week I have a doctor and dentist appointment. And a meeting with the estate lawyer. I hope to heck he has all that finished. It was 96 this afternoon and I got too hot messing with the motorhome. Ended up with a headache. Tomorrow someone says they are coming from Texas to look at it.

I drove the truck yesterday and I think it needs front end work. My neighbor is out of town and my son is working in New Orleans so don't have someone to bring me home if I bring it to the shop.

Hope I remember rabbits this time.

Barbie, I am really glad I don't have a house or condo to sell!! What a pain!

The situation with my aunt and uncle is not as settled as I had hoped because they told the lawyer they do not want to give up financial control and invoke financial power of attorney, but he is working on them, and going to try to contact their doctor. At least it is better to have him working on it than me, which would sound and look as if I am grubbing for their money! One step that the other niece has been working on is to get a bonded CPA handle paying bills and reporting to the lawyer or to us. Frustrating, but I am just hoping someone can pay the bills for them, and that they really do move into assisted living as they say they are doing--signed a contract, at least.

And someone, please remind me that you should never, ever, no matter what, plan to drive on a Friday to get to a campground, especially in the summer!! :o Traffic today from Pacific Beach to Fort Flager SP was horrible in both directions. I hate having lines of traffic pile up behind me. Washington requires you to pull over if five or more cars are behind you, but often there is no place to pull over big enough, and it does not do any good as more cars pile up anyway! I have to be smarter about making reservations.

And I will try to remember rabbits tomorrow or late tonight.

No kidding!

The seller agreed to let me move in next week anyways, so that is a big relief. Not sure if I can still purge her stuff right away or if I have to wait until closing to do that. Will check on that. Whew!

Baileys is my friend tonight! :D

Barbie, maybe you can at least move the stuff you do not want to the garage or enclosed porch until you close. What does your contract say about the stuff she left??? Then you can move your stuff in and the “trash” will be in one place and easy to dump or sell.

Oh, and when I got setup tonight I noticed I am missing a hubcap and tire pressure monitor for a rear tire. :x
