Home Again Wednesday

Good Morning all. The fur kids and I have returned from our trip to the U.P. Had a great time with friends, are too much food though. Always amazing how everybody contributing to a meal can make so much food. Judy, you aren’t the only one who has added some weight back on. I’m cracking down, starting today, to get back to where I was. 5 of us will be gathering for a week over the 4th of July and I don’t want to add any more weight.
The weather wasn’t outstanding over the weekend though. Stayed pretty much cloudy and cool with temps in 50’s, low’s in 40’s. And every evening the wind would pick up from the north and blow straight into the campground. It rained the first night I was there and most of the afternoon of Memorial Day, into the night. But we did have a beautiful day on Sunday and a few hours of sun on Saturday. In fact, Saturday went from chilly, cool spring weather to warmer summer like weather and back to chilly spring like weather in about 3 hours. When sun came out, everybody shed long pants, jackets, sweatshirts etc. and got into shorts, tank tops, Tees etc. Turned partly cloudy, had a brief shower, then wind shifted north, got cold, everybody took off the shorts, tees, etc. and back to life no pants, jackets and sweatshirts Crazy weather this spring all over.
Wow Beth, the creek is really going. I remember that from when I was there. There are about 6 sites at the state park where I was at, that are closed due to high water too. They had above normal snowfall and too much rain which has the low areas at one end of the park underwater, spreading into those sites. Water is up all over in MI causing issues. I hope that those of you in the paths of the tornadoes and severe storms didn’t receive any damage. I’m glad I’m not traveling this spring. I know Cheryl (IrishIroamed) got hit hard.
O’Sharon, you are certainly going to be busy for awhile. Barbie, won’t be long and moving will be over. Karen, sounds like you and Laura had a blast. Annie, I too had a feeling about that dam with all the snow in the mountains this winter.
So today is catch up on business etc., and see what else happens. Grass needs mowing to. Mosquitos are appearing too, yuck. So have a great day all, stay safe.
