Monday, Monday Can't Trust That Day

Mornin' ladies~~~
Yea, Monday can be a bummer. Thank you Mommas & Poppas for truer words may not exist. It's the 2nd to last Monday in May and it's sleet-y and cold in north east Colorado. 20" of snow expected in the mountains with this front moving in.

Trying to figure out which direction to head. North towards Yellowstone and Teddy Roosevelt (taking my time) or west out of Wyoming and back towards Idaho? I did that heading east last year but will need to see how bad the weather is that way. Sheila? Any ideas? East is a no no. Don't want to be anywhere in that direction during tornado season.

Not much else here and with the weather a big "UGH!" here, it's a good thing I did my little bit of sightseeing yesterday. Hope weather is better where everyone else is. Fingers crossed.

Update:
On second thought, maybe I'll head back south to northern New Mexico after I do the Cheyenne, WY area for a month or so. May still be cool but not with winter weather advisories if I stay clear of the mountains. arghhh! so confuzzled! :?:

Good morning!

Why don't you go south now and then circle up north later when the weather is better?

I slept in longer than planned. Still tired. I am feeling stressed tho with everything. Have a lot to do today so need to get moving. Sun is out so I get more motivated than when it is cloudy and rainy.

I close two weeks from today! Lots to do before then tho!

Have a good day and stay warm and safe, those of you up north! :D

Because next weekend is Memorial Day and everything is booked.

Good point about the weekend. Need to follow my holiday rules for selecting a campsite:

- Not near any lakes or beaches where there is swimming or boating.
- Not near swimming pools or in campgrounds with swimming pools.
- Not near National parks that are likely to be crowded.
- Not near any attractions for kids like amusement parks.
- Not too long of a drive because roads will be packed.

Mostly, I try to find a place where no one else will want to go, especially with kids!

Oh, and I loved the Mamas and Papas! Still do. One of my favorites is Creeque Alley: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gsknj1Up4sA

this is going to sound really crazy but I vote for south as well but try for less known places..you could always head to Q area it won't be crowded just to wait out some of the weather... or go down to Tuscan or other areas in AZ or surrounding states... right now from what I understand that area (Q) is just beautiful with plants blooming and not too hot yet yet being the operative word... hope you find your way up here sometime... they had a lot of snow this winter there is still now on Teton Pass and not even the north facing slopes  haven't been North into the park but my nephew says that Jackson Lake is still frozen and the pictures I've seen I couldn't decide...however I have gotten so I take with a grain of salt everything he says...Yellowstone is open but I am sure that there are areas not open... what about down into west Texas? for awhile then swing up and up and up... I don't blame you at all tornadoes are to be avoided at all cost... do you boondock at all?
wish I could say I accomplished a lot but hey who would I be kidding got my dolls out sure need to scrub off the dirt off their faces... bins in the basement folded dd's laundry while I did a batch came down in the rain and since it was raining thought hmmm a nap is in order under a heated throw... slept way to long then up to the house was thinking of making potato soup but forgot granddaughter was in a concert so went to it... they did really well for a jr high/high school concert really well... I don't remember our bands music groups being so good...the jazz band started it out then into a 8th grade group then a choral chamber and then ambiance (which is where gd was) very good they went to think state and go E think that means excellent and superior
Great granddaughter's bilirubin has gone down very happy about that

Sheila~I have it in the back of my mind to head your way, but it may not be until July... or August.

Judy~Like you, I like to book reservations in advance, including trying to stay away from kid centric campgrounds during holiday weekends.
