I guess I'm just in training for when I get to SD lol. So Ty and I are still in bed, under the covers. I'm hoping to leave about this time tomorrow but... What's the hurry! My next several days should be delightful visiting three other state parks, new to me, on my path. I'm looking forward to the summer I can bounce around the more northern state parks here. Although these on lakes will be quite crowded with day use families!

I’m in Kentucky but still when I woke up this morning I couldn't find that March lamb. If it is out there it is mighty chilled. Josef is holding his own so far at these UKC shows. They are at least inside where we are
finding some heat. The sun is shining and we are enjoying that attribute.

Wishing everyone a great day.

This crazy weather. Yesterday it was 75 and today it's 50. The low tonight is suppose to be 39. Later this week they say it will be 80. It rained over night and some this morning but only about an inch. It looks like a lot of rain is in the gulf but don't know which way it's going.

Went to eat boiled crawfish with my friends last night. The crawfish were huge and so good. I was going to bake some chicken with BBQ sauce for lunch but I don't have any BBQ sauce. Trying to decide how much I want to go to the Dollar Store. That would involve getting dressed. At the rate I'm moving the chicken might be supper.

Wow! Tomorrow is April 1st already! Time for "Rabbits" again!

I was scheduled to get off work on Wednesday at 2pm, so I scheduled a meetup with my real estate agent at 2:30 to get the house listed and photos taken and the sign put up. Then my manager sent me a revised schedule with me having to work until 5:30. I told her no, I have to be off at 2. Haven't heard back from her. One of our stylists has been moved temporarily to another salon that is short of stylists, but that makes us short a stylist. Go figure!

I should be doing something constructive but am still in bed and not planning to do much until I have to get ready for work. My shoulders are sore so I need some downtime before hitting the yard again tomorrow. I cleaned out the raised garden yesterday. My roommate had planted some onions and other things in there but the garden got totally overrun with various weeds including stinging nettles. I just pulled out pretty much everything in there since I couldn't tell what was what. There were only a few things I identified as things she planted, by the time I was done. I probably pulled out a few other things of hers, so I will probably hear about it when she gets back in town later today. I need the rest of it removed so I can put down a weed barrier and then fill it back in with good soil.

OK, back to resting for awhile. Have a good day and don't forget to say "Rabbits" tonight or tomorrow morning! :D

Acadianmom, here is my recipe for homemade barbecue sauce: one cup ketchup, 1/4 cup water, 1/8 cup vinegar (cider or otherwise), slosh of hot sauce, 1/8 cup soy sauce, several substantial shakes of garlic powder, 1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce if you have it, and some brown sugar to taste. I like it hot and spicy, but my grandkids need it sweeter. You can adjust ingredients to taste. You should not cook it, but you can warm it up a bit in the microwave to help dissolve the sugar and meld the tastes. I hate store-bought barbecue sauce, so I always make my own.

I am parked in an electric site at Valley of Fire, but I am not sure it is really legitimate. I talked to two camp hosts and they agreed that they think it is OK. There was absolutely nothing left in the site, but there is a tag that says it is reserved through tomorrow, 4/1. But everyone agrees they must have left early or got the date wrong. I am plugged in but with no slides out, so if someone shows up and claims it, I will leave. Where to, I have no idea because everything is really full. There is a very nice handicap site directly across from me, so I will ask them later what time they are leaving tomorrow and move in as they move out!!!

It is really getting noticeably harder to get campsites these days. More people seem to be camping. I have been at this first-come, first-served campsite several times before and never had a problem getting a site. Today, I arrived at 10 am on a Sunday morning and every spot was filled. Lots of people circling around also, but no sites at all.

Judy, I'll have to try your BBQ sauce recipe some time. I found a jar of Woody's BBQ sauce in the pantry but I don't really like it. I added some ketchup and brown sugar so it was ok. Soy sauce and Worcestershire would have probably helped it too.

I put up my hummingbird feeder last week and I saw my first humming bird this morning.

What I dislike about store barbecue sauce is the fake smoke flavoring. Mine is tangy, hot, and a bit sweet. Adjust as you like

Oh! Forgot the lemon juice. Maybe juice of half lemon?? And store finished sauce in refrigerator.

I bake spare ribs low and slow after cutting them apart. Freeze them wrapped in Saran and put in plastic bags. Then when I want a couple, I heat them in microwave. Makes a good quick meal.

Judy, a lot of schools are on spring break this past week so that may be why the campgrounds are so full right now.

Does anyone know where I can buy an Amazon gift card? I checked Walmart but they don't have any. Looked at some other places and didn't see them there either. I am sure I used to see Amazon cards on the rack with all the other gift cards before. I want to send one to my nephew and his bride with their wedding card. They were registered on Amazon for their wedding gifts so I thought that would be the thing to give them.

Try Best Buy, Target, Walgreens, 7-11 convenience stores used to sell them.

Just found this link, hope it helps

I order my grandson a gift card from Amazon for his birthday and Christmas and they deliver it to him. I never ask if it's delivered or mailed.

Thanks for the link! The places I checked are not on that list and there are places listed that I never would have thought to look!
