Lazy Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Lazy Wednesday

Postby BarbaraRose » Wed Mar 06, 2019 3:01 pm

I overdid it yesterday with all the running around I did so I am still in bed today at noon. My cough is worse today. I have to go to work in a while but only for 4 hours today. Need to take it easy for awhile til I get over this thing, which hopefully will be sooner than later!

Cloudy and rainy today. Clears up tomorrow before another system comes in on Friday. Maybe tomorrow I can get outside and spray the weeds with the vinegar solution.

Have a good day and stay warm, dry and safe! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Wonderful Wednesday

Postby SoCalGalcas » Wed Mar 06, 2019 3:03 pm

Good Morning, my luncheon yesterday was so much fun!!! it was for our 70th reunion from the 1949 class of La Jolla High School!!! Held at the San Diego Yacht Club, on the bay front. A great setting! of course, several have died, and that is sad remembering them. Many, many pictures were taken...I am going to order several.

We were asked to wear our school colors, red and black. I had black slacks, but no red blouse. My grandsons wife leant me a red blouse that worked perfectly! I had several complements!

I continue to work on getting ready for the Big Spring Trip!

I actually wasn't lazy this morning. My water tank was almost bone dry and they were shutting water off today so first thing this morning I quickly filled the tank. Then Ginger, Ty and I went to the near Fort. Home we came and I prepared the ribs we were going to have for dinner last night but our late, very filling lunch yesterday didn't allow me dinner. So we had ribs for lunch and Ginger is now on the road back to Benson. Ty and I will miss her until, most likely, next fall/winter. Ty actually stood in the road behind her car leaving making crying noises. But he got over it fairly quickly when he saw movement in the brush lol

The next two days I change sites both days. Funny thing is had I known someone was going to pull out of my favorite, non-reservation site this morning, I would have forfeited my night where I am. If only I could see the future. I was showing the site to Ginger on the way to the fort and the rig had left! Oh well.

Lyn, that sounds like so much fun! We have a reunion every 5 years plus a annual picnic each year. I really hope to make it to this years picnic as I missed several through Mel's illness, but we did attend the 50th is fall of 2016. It's sure good to get together with friends who have known us since school.

I can see Frosty, the great white hunter, in the field across the road. lol Sometimes I see one of the kittens following him. I hope Frosty doesn't lose him. I don't know who is killing the rats but I have found several in the yard or parts of several. Frosty hasn't brought me a present in a long time. I guess I didn't appreciate his presents enough.

I went by Tractor Supply and got some weed killer that is suppose to kill things for a year. I need to spray some of the fence rows. We'll see how that works. I hope the guy with the cows comes so I can ask him what he did when he fixed the broken pipe at the barn. I don't have water going to the outside faucets. I made it down to the pond yesterday and pulled a lot of weeds out of the pond until I broke the rake. Had to get a new rake at Tractor Supply.

They are predicting severe weather for Saturday like what hit Alabama. I sure hope not.
