Good Morning everyone and Happy First Day of Meteorological Spring! Sure am glad to see February leave as it was a month of weather extremes for a lot of us. Was a beautiful day here and the sun is getting warmer, hooray. I know I will wish it would cool off in a few months  , but right now it feels good.

Shirl, sorry you had such a mess, but thankful it was caught quickly. I agree on this technology stuff. Sometimes I think we were better off before it came around. It’s made life easier in some ways and created nightmares in others.

I now have the last of my camping reservations made for this year. Was able to change dates on one yesterday so that took care of Labor Day weekend. Anybody looking for me this summer, I’ll be in the U.P.

But for today, I’ll be home here for awhile, then off to town for an appt., couple errands and first Lenten Fish Fry at church later on. Got my closet rod up in the office closet, gave the closet a good cleaning and transferred stuff from guest bedroom into that one. Seeded out some stuff too. Now to give that room a good cleaning and off to the guest room to do same. Tomorrow.

Beth, I know that feeling about turning something down and then wondering if I should have taken it anyway. But since you stayed on the list, maybe it will come up again. I’ve been missing our long walks lately between the weather, deep snow makng it impossible to use the path we sometimes take between two roads we walk on and the snow banks narrowing down the main road shoulders making it dicey to walk along that road or getting up onto the snowmobile trail, we are kind of confined to the neighborhood. I know the fur kids miss the long night explorations.

Have a nice day everyone. Stay warm, dry, safe etc.

Mornin' Sue and all that follow~~~
I'm currently wandering wandering around Texas. Was high tailing it back to Illinois before the new truck plates expired & Ma's bday on the 20th, but I am officially a Texan now, so I can show down and wait for the weather to get better instead. The residency change was done while I was staying at the SKP home CG in Livingston, TX.

The weather here has been cold and raining and is supposed to continue for another week. Will hopefully meet up with Birdie next week if her schedule allows then over towards Martha's area for a long weekend.

That's about it from here. Hope weather improves soon for just about everyone. Have a great new month.

Good morning, i remembered rabbits but spoke to Abby first. Lot of dr appts lately, no answers yet. Got my shed put up , started clearing off the patio for the next project, hopefully to get started on that this weekend. Also putting up my security cameras as this neighborhood seems to have a theif. The girls are doing well, Maggie slowing down a bit showing her age. Finally having some nice weather. Im happy with that.

Checking in from Bob Sandlin State Park in Texas near Karen West's. Heading over for a visit and a trip out for lunch with Karen later after Audrey and Lark get their morning walk. Looking at the predicted weather temperatures in the coming week and planning my trip back to Ohio. I need to get back in time to take care of taxes, run a bunch of errands, get ready and head out immediately to a couple of dog shows with Josef, take a deep breath and then head back to my seasonal work opportunities and refill my savings account.

I still have more pictures in my camera.

Hope everyone enjoys their coming month. Don't be a stranger, check in often!

Tina

Good morning Everybody from beautiful, sunny Kino Bay. Life is simple here; a walk on the beach; a walk into town; a drink at happy hour...We are staying another month.
Sue, you have all your summer reservations, I’m impressed with your planning. I know you love the UP. Enjoy today. Peggy

I think I talked to the cats last night before I remembered Rabbits. It's gray again. I don't see any rain on the radar but it rained about a half inch last night so everything is wet again. I wish there was something I could do about the old carport besides tearing it up and replacing it. That thing is a death trap when it's wet. Thank goodness the carport at the new house was done right and stays dry.

With all the talk of Kayaks on here I finally ordered an inflatable one. I probably should have ordered a more expensive one but couldn't see it for something I might use once a year. I hope it works out that I can camp with Cheryl. There's a lake where we are going so she can take a picture of me falling in the lake.

Late yesterday afternoon there was a new cat by the old house. She watched me being followed by 5 cats and decided I was ok and let me pet her. I don't see her this morning so hope she went home.

I'm bored and the only reason I can think of to go to town is to take my tablet. I think it's due for an upgrade. It's so slow that I seldom use it so doesn't make much sense to pay for one that I don't use.

Martha

Good morning everyone. I happened to be awake last night as the clock rolled through midnight, so I turned at Mandy cat and said Rabbits, Rabbits Miss Mandy it's March! She had no comment but looked at me curiously as i handed her a treat!
We had 4 inches of rain between Sunday and Wednesday and now have partial sun with first rain of March tomorrow! Weather man last night said, it was the coldest and wettest February in decades. Over 9 inches in the rain bucket for the month. Some places in the Sierras have said they have had over 250 inches of snow this winter, second highest recorded seasonal snowfall Ever recorded! Now we pray we don't get a sudden warm spell causing sudden snow melt to overwhelm already full reservoirs and rivers! They said April 1 is usually the deepest measurement of our snow "bank" of water storage, and we are already 130% of that usual average.
Deck project continues as weather permits and my indoor decluttering and projects continue. I have an appointment in early April at Harps RV, about a 30 min drive to have my van gone over. Meanwhile I'm deciding on house and engine batteries. I do have reservations for Cove State Park in June, but no other specific plans until son Nick knows more about his schedule and I know the van is completely ready. Once all maintenance on Night Owl is done, I'll give the van a thorough cleaning and inventory and have it packed so all I need to do is turn on fridge, add food and clothes and a few items like camera and be able to go exploring.
Have a good March everyone.
Velda

Happy March. I know it doesn't count but I said rabbits at 11:45 last night. My eyes just wanted to close. And I talked to Ty before saying it this morning. Lol

Just drove out to get propane and in going to go in a restaurant here and order some lunch to go. Lazy me.

Good Morning! Of course I forgot “rabbits”. Had my truck serviced yesterday, and today picking up the TT. So, they are ready to go on April first. Of course, got to fill the TT first. Will do that this month. Making lists and checking them twice!!!
Oh Boy, Shirl, I understand exactly what you are talking about with all the technology. Several months ago there was an article in the paper about freezing credit accounts, so we did! Now, with our new cable account, we had to get new email accounts. I am still having problems with changing my email address.
Think of you often, Alice. Wishing the docs would figure out what is going on with you.
Hey, Cheryl, now a Texan! I was one for a while. I really dislike being a CA resident. I keep thinking how I could change residency’s, and all the pros and cons. It gets so complicated I decide to stay where I am. I would really like to get back to South Dakota because I love their license plates!
Has ‘t The snow this winter been something!?!? We even had a good snowfall in our mountains. Course it does not last around here.
Tina, tell Karen HI for me. Did she ever get that road plowed into her property?
Lyn

I just LOVE the word "March"! It is so much more hopeful and warm sounding than "January" or "February"! :D

Yes, I know there is still a foot of heavy but melting snow on the ground, but it is mostly sunny today, with promises of spring coming soon! In any case, I am heading south on Tuesday to see my Napa family and then on to Nevada for a couple of months.

I need to go out for propane but might get lazy today and wait until tomorrow, as I have enough for overnight, for sure. Also want to do a last grocery stock-up and get my tires checked.

My youngest son was born on the Ides of March! And I keep telling him that, but since he is an engineer and has never read anything identified by the word "classic," he is clueless! When I was in England a few years ago and told him I was visiting the Roman baths in Bath, he thought I was nuts and said the Romans were never in Britain! Duh.

Anyway, I can be hopeful about March!

Good afternoon. Sunny here today BUT the threat of rain is always there. No snow tho right now.

I started my own tradition re: Rabbits. I said it before I went to bed at 10pm, because it was 1:00am in the east. Yup I am going to go with that. I have nothing to lose as I always talk to the dog first in the morning without saying Rabbits first so this just might work. LOL
