Morning everyone. Shelia, I’m glad you mentioned Rabbits, as I forgot all about that and today is the first day of February, so time for the monthly check in.
Been up since 6 here, breakfast done, hair washed, getting ready to head to town in a little while. Polar Vortex is gone, just a Windchill Advisory out tilll 9 this morning, but not much wind now. Things are getting back to normal around these parts. Although it was very cold and snowy, it was not an abnormal weather pattern for northern Michigan. We have had them in the past and I’m sure will have them in the future. Last outbreak of Arctic was in 2015. Very few records were broken this week here. But now we are headed in the opposite direction, into the 30’s and low 40’s this weekend and staying in low 30’s most of next week. I’m sure the fur kids are going to be happy as now we can resume our daily walks.
Karen, I admire your determination to lose weight. I did what you are doing last year and it worked for me. Was work as I kept track of carbs and measured everything out. Elimnated pasta, bread, potatoes, sweets from my diet and even now I don’t eat pasta except for rare ocassion. I haven’t made spaghetti in months and haven’t missed it. Will ocassionally eat a bagel and maybe a sandwich out, but keep no breads, potatoes, sweets in the house. Sounds harsh but there’s a lot of carbs and starch in the stuff not to mention sugars in the bread and sweets. Now come summer, the ice cream smiles a bit too much
but I have kept within 4 pounds of my original goal.
Carol, hope Bill gets to feeling better. Sorry you aren’t having such a great winter down in MX this year. Hardee Lakes gathering starts today. Have fun gals.
Time to move on here, errands are calling. Have a great day everyone.

Surprise from the Texas Coastal Bend area. Rained like crazy here yesterday, but is supposed to be an off and on thing today with higher temps. I can live with that. Enjoying this area as the Whooping Cranes have been abundant and showing off flying overhead, then over there, then over here, then back overhead. Beautiful bird.
Still working my volunteer job with the Hurricane Harvey folks. Will go to see my dentist on Monday....that’s in Progresso, MX but is just a daily walk over and back after I get down there. Beth I will be seeing Dr. X. Hope we have our usual little to no line at the border crossing. I will drive down Saturday, play with friends then Monday morning dentist visit and then back here after lunch. That’s the plan for this weekend here at my house.
Carol, sorry to hear about Bill’s recovery being so slow. I was cleared for work three days after my pesky gall bladder got yanked and into the garbage can! I did have to learn to adjust my food type when eating. Had to drop spicy food for about 2 years.
Keep warm and dry. Keep having fun. - I am off to work!

Good Morning from Arizona. I got to Portillo's yesterday for lunch with Cheryl. Yum. Then headed towards Tucson. Stopped in Casa Grande to see my audiologist. No explanation for why my bad hearing has gotten so much worse the last two years. Aids adjusted and she told me if my left ear gets much worse I'll probably be a candidate for an implant. I never thought I'd hope for that but at this point it might be a good thing. Insurance should cover that.
Today will be a trip to the social security offices because they still are not correctly taking my Medicare premium from my account. Third time hopefully will be the charm.
In other words, doing the mundane things of life!

Good Morning All, sitting in recliner with IPad in my cozy, disorganized apartment. I’m loving it and finally sleeping good. Moving is exhausting but it went smoothly. Today is the last of the bitter cold I hope. I had Direct tv using a dish at the house. Can’t have a dish here so am streaming Direct tv and it’s great and less expensive. I managed to stream to my IPad but have a problem getting it to the tv. Youngest grandaughter coming to the rescue today in the snow bless her little puddin heart. Safe travels

Good morning all. I’m surviving in the super cold weather. Just staying home and staying warm. No real desire to get out in it. I did go out long enough to blow the snow the other day, it was a light snow and windy so I looked like a snow person by the time I was done! We have a bit of snow again today but think it’ll be more of a shovel type. Hard to believe it’s February already but on the upside it’s closer to spring! Have a feeling the groundhog is going to predict 6 more weeks of winter. No surprise there! Tina, good that you’ve missed all this! Mickie, isn’t it great to not have to go out if you don’t want to? Gotta love it! Sue, don’t send anymore of this weather this way, please! Don’t like it! Carol, hope Bill starts feeling better. The infection, I hope is getting better. With all the activities going on I can see why you want to head out.
Ok, time to get moving. I’ve been working in my dining room packing up boxes of things to get rid of. Finally feel like I’m making some progress on the purge! Slow but sure. Hope everyone has a great day and staying warm. Travel safe if you’re on the road.

Good morning
No rabbits here, spoke to the dogs first. The move is done, now for the rearranging and getting settled part. But priority is getting the fence panels in for the dogs. Still have to turn in the old mailbox key and of course change my address with the post office and all those other important places. I hope i can do some online.
Bp meds are adjusted again, double the dose and get it down even more. Still more to uodate but im working on it. Enjoy your day.

No remembering of rabbit this morning. My drive back towards Quartzsite was delayed because the rig needed to get looked at. It had been having trouble starting the last week or so. Not every time but several times. The emergency start always did the trick. Yesterday when I tried to leave the campground again it didn't want to start even with the help of the emergency start. 2.5 hours later when help arrived, of course it started right up as if I was a crazy lady. Well at least I know it isn't a bad battery. I am hoping that it is just an easily found loose wire/connection. The dogs and I stayed in a Motel 6 with some lovely unlimited hot water and cable. Waiting for my morning call from the Ford place regarding what they find this morning.
The good news is that I am not in Ohio and I don't have to head back for another month or so......

Mornin' ladies~~~
Add usual, I didn't say Rabbits. Laundry day today in Surprise, AZ. Only 10 minutes from the park I'm currently at. Then back to a Picacho Peak SP for 2 weeks. May end up using the shower facilities there. It's that or dump & refill my tank at the first week or so. Hope to catch up with Eileen & Dave a couple times also.
Was great to see all the ladies again in Q, and also got to see my cousin again. That's it from me. Have a good day ladies and stay safe wherever you are.
PS Alice~I dealt with change of address alot at work. A card to the post office may be all that's needed. Your mail will be forwarded and everything is so computer generated now, the companies now can learn about customer change of address directly from them. But anything super important, you may still want to notify them individually.

Good morning Everybody from Gilbert Ray Campground in Tucson. Beverly and I were fortunate to get two sites yesterday, but in two separate loops. It is quite a walk between sites. Norma is visiting relatives in Mesa and will join us on Sunday.

I think I fussed at Sweetie Pie last nigh before I said rabbits.
For the past couple of days I am seeing differently. I could read the computer without my glasses and now it's fuzzy. I need to take my vitamins and eat some carrots.
I had to take CC for his yearly shots this morning. That will take the wind out of his sails for a while. Mr P got outside and won't let me catch him. I'm glad the vet gave him the shot that's suppose to last 2 weeks so I don't have to doctor on him.
Tina, hope your problem is an easy fix. I travel with a charger/starter and an extension cord. If I can get my generator started I can jump start the engine battery without having to call for help. I have used it quite a few times over the years.
Ava, good luck getting your address changed. It's been 13 years since we moved next door and they changed our street number. I still get mail for the old address. It's mostly junk mail. I guess if it was getting returned they would get the message.
Our temperature is back to 70 even without the sun being out. No big plans for the day. I need to start loading up for my trip next week. I think I'll go dig through the stuff I took out of the old camper and find my microwave egg cooker.

Good Morning , Slightly o'cast this morningng with bouts of sunshine! I got in the h2o jogging yesterday just prior to the rain....then it hit hard!!! I think it was 1/2 inch, which is good for us.
I have been working on my driving schedule for my spring trip. It is coming right along...pretty soon I will be able to post dates. I will be utilizing Boondockers Welcome as much as possible.
I did remember RABBITS, but whispered it softly to Benji. Does one have to say it outloud?
Off to the pool...Lyn

Thanks for the support Martha. Actually I do carry a good charger and have used it for the Honda over the years when the battery has gotten drained for one reason or another. A better cable between the rig and the car has lessened how often I do that now. But since I had had trouble off and on this past week or so I figured better to take care of it before I head back into the desert of few choices.

You can fill in an online change of address, Ava. Very easy. Just look up USPS.
Really slept in this morning. Got work to do, and I also want to do some cleaning today. Just finishing my chocolate croissant from Trader Joes. I love 'em! They come frozen, four to a package, and you put them out in a baking pan on parchment paper the night before and let them thaw and rise overnight. By morning, they are ready to bake and YUM! They also have almond ones, but I have gotten to like the chocolate ones better. I do not really like cereal, other than hot oatmeal, so they are a fast and handy breakfast for me. Not good for those of you avoiding cards, however.
It only went down to 45 last night, and I have found that there is a big difference in indoor temps between 30, which is what it was the night before, and 45. Not as many freezing drafts under my slides and coming from my cab at 45 outside. When I finally make it to Napa, I am going to get my son to help me add some weatherstripping under my slides. I can feel the cold air on the floor chilling my feet, and I am sure that is where it is coming from. Love my big slides, but there are disadvantages! Blood numbers are good, so I am getting confident that I am back on track to resume my travels at the end of February. Yea!!

After being 5 degrees 2 days ago it is now 50 and expected to be 69 by Monday!!! When I was walking across the yard today I found Snowdrops blooming. Guess the snow brought them
Tina, sorry you are having battery issues, hope it is an easy inexpensive fix. Martha, how is your BP isn't vision change sometimes due to BP being high. Ava hope yours gets resolved. When I started taking BP meds they made me really sick, It took awhile before mine came down then it was too low. Shirl, glad to hear you are moved and liking your apartment. It's good to hear from so many today. I hope everyone has a good month whether you remembered to say Rabbits or not.

Good evening from finally warmer temperatures in Ocala.
Karen, like Sue, I've been on a high protein, low carb diet for over 4 years and have maintained my goal weight since then, following exactly what Sue said. Birdie, I admire what you've been doing in TX. Good for you. Beth, I hope you get your Medicare issues resolved today. Shirl, I'm so glad you are moved into your new home and are happy. I'm sure the grands can find the solution you are looking for. Sharon, sorry you are dealing with the cold weather. Alice, I hope the rest of the deal with the move goes smoothly. Tina, wouldn't you know your motorhome would start for the mechanics! That's usually the way it works. Cheryl, I've been enjoying your adventures. Peggy, enjoy your adventures. Sounds like all of you had a great time in the Q. Martha, that's so nice that you take such good care of your cats and dog. Lyn, there have been months I've also whispered Rabbits, so as not to bother Steve when he was still sleeping. Ann, I hope you have a good report on Bill tomorrow.
Sarah pulled out of here 9:30 this morning for the trip to Hardee Lakes and we have since heard from her that she arrived safely. Dinner is done and the dishwasher is running. Because of the torn rotator cuff issue, I've been utilizing the DW more then usual. The weather is finally warming up in Ocala, which is good. I've been wearing leggings under my jeans for almost a week because I've been so cold. But today the windows and door are open and we spent lots of time outdoors. Enjoy the day and new month!
