Thursday, last day of January

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday, last day of January

Good Morning to All from fairly nice Mazatlan - weather wise any way. The construction around us is still going strong, loud and long. They are starting up just now - it is 7:00 and they go until dark. Every one in the RV park is crabby this year. And most everyone is planning on leaving within the next month.
It is especially aggravating to us as we can't get away from the park because Bill is still recuperating from his emergency gallbladder surgery. And now he has a bad urinary infection. So he is on strong antibiotics which make him feel icky. He is always tired and has an stiff neck too. I feel for him, but ... He says we are leaving here for home on Feb 9th when our rent is up. So it will be less than a month from the surgery. I'm trying to get him to go out and walk some each day but part of his problem is he is getting depressed and doesn't want to do anything.
It will be nice to get away from here though.
Maybe getting on the road and going home will help. We'll see.
Been reading about the weather in the US. Can't begin to imagine that kind of cold. In Vegas it has been cool and now it is going to rain for three days.
Well that's enough of a downer from me.
Keep warm and enjoy your day if home or away from home.

Carol, sorry you are having a hard time with your patient. He sounds like most men, if it's not his idea it's not a good idea.

I picked up Mr P yesterday. I don't know who he got in a fight with but his neck is all chewed up. I kept him in a kennel last night. I can't let him out in the house because he's not house broken. I'm thinking about going to PetSmart and get a bigger kennel. I have a trip planned next week so will have to decide if I need to board him.

After noon already. Just being lazy today. Got Lola Kitty on my lap and playing on my laptop. It is cloudy and windy with rain moving in later. We have 3 storm systems coming thru for the next 5 days. One today, a big one on Saturday and another one Sunday night.

Yesterday was the 2 year anniversary of my dad's passing. :(

Have a few indoor things I can do today including laundry. Otherwise I will follow what the kitties are doing and just be lazy.

Mickey, glad you and Mary got all moved in now. Now you can get unpacked and decorate and enjoy your new surroundings!

Tina, sounds like you had a great visit out here this past week. Safe travels back east!

Carol, hope Bill gets better soon and gets back into his happy place. All that noise can cause a lot of stress! I know that would drive me crazy!

Have a good day! And don't forget to say "RABBITS" late tonight or tomorrow morning! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good afternoon, it was a chilly one 28° but the sun is out and we may hit 60° today but we shall see. Had to get a move on this morning as I took Emma to the vet for her yearly physical. Also needed Heartguard medicine so got a years worth as I only take her yearly. Bordatella vaccine just in case I ever have to board her (you never know when you travel in the RV). I love this vet only cost $88 for everything...so I am happy.

Not too much motivation going on here right now. Think I will just veggie out this afternoon, just because I can.

Having chicken and roasted veggies for dinner. Trying to stick to my low carb options with one day a week for a splurge on whatever I feel deprived of LOL so far its working okay, even with the ice cream smiling at me every time I open the freezer HAH

I finally got caught up with sleep today. (Only had about three hours of sleep on Monday and Tuesday nights. Early doctor appointments, plus students calling me about not being able to take their exams because college cancelled, etc.) Had to get up this morning for a doctor appt at 7:30 am, and then dropped my rental car off, but I went back for a nap at about 11 and slept until 1 pm. I feel MUCH better.

So no more early appointments from now on, which will be good. I have some physical therapy scheduled for my back and also to try to regain some muscle strength. I lost 20 pounds in the first half of 2018, but most of it in my arms and legs, exactly where I did not need to lose weight! I gained about 10 of it back, but it is harder for me to go up stairs and lift my bike up into its rack, so as soon as I get to some non-rainy and warmer weather, I am going to work on building up some strength.

Very cold night and frost this morning, but warm today--59 right now. Going to take my trash out and shake rugs and try to do some cleaning inside this afternoon. Also need to fill my water tanks and dump black and grey tanks becuase it is going to rain for the next three days and I do NOT like going out in the rain.

Had thunderstorms roll thru about 3 hours ago and it has been raining nonstop since then. A nice steady rain. I can hear my weeds laughing as they grow another foot taller! Had to go out and rescue my garbage can from floating down the street in the river in front of my house! Couldn't find my rain boots so I just went barefoot!

Making some spaghetti for dinner. And then maybe some brownies!

went indexing/family search today then to get the mail before I left to get it got a text that A was possibly going to be able to go home...so when I got the mail text her again to see if she was going to be able to go she didn't know so went home yep got home and got a text saying yep I can go home so up to Havasu to Parker Wal Mart and of course we have to go back as I didn't want to wait 2 hrs for the RX to be ready tell me why it takes that long to put stuff in a bag??? think it's a deal with Wal Mart cause the longer I am in that store the bigger a hit on the pocket book  it's a conspiracy pure and simple
I had an appointment that I was able to change from 6:30 to 8 made it... yea then MC D's as we were hungry sure don't want to go back to Parker tomorrow...one good thing about going to Havasu got my hot chocolate it's put out by Private Selection like it lot's but only at Kroger stores which there is one in Havasu
coming south on 95 saw lot's of lights flashing but didn't appear to be "official" so slowed down way down and was waved on through stuff on the road looked to the left saw a semi ... first guess is it swerved to avoid something and didn't make it couldn't be good whatever got hit.. hopefully will remember rabbit's tonight after midnight and I sure won't in the waking up time
