Monday in Mazatlan

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Monday in Mazatlan

We went out to the Plazuela Machado in the old historic district of Mazatlan last night with friends. Glad Bill was driving, haven't seen that many cars on the road on a Sunday night in a long time. Guess cause it was finally a warm night - for here that means high 70's. Listened to music watched whole families get up to dance and had good food. And this morning there is a very pretty sunrise. A good start to a week.
Reading about all the snow makes me glad we are here and I'll quite complaining about the overcast we have been having.
Yesterday was one of those days I whist everyone could share in. We went out to breakfast at a beautiful hacienda restaurant then went to a tianguis = like a little flea market - in a little - about 300 population - town. I bought some jewelry made out of corn kernels and flower petals. We have several friends in that town and we were the only gringos there. It was inland a bit and temps in HIGH 80's. Back to the RV park near the ocean - cool high 70's. Later at night picked up friends and went to dinner in the plaza. I get so upset when I read about don't go to Mexico you'll get in trouble.
This morning we have wonderful Mexican coffee and pastries - grab one and enjoy the beginning of a new week.

Thanks for the pastries, Carol. Grabbed a couple :)

Being in Q hasn't changed my morning routine of sleeping in then staying in bed even longer! Off to walk Ty soon and looking forward to Tina joining us, most likely this afternoon, unless she sees something interesting along the drive.

Starting my Monday off with renewed energy. Took the weekend off more or less. Now working on the kitchen. Cleaned out a few drawers and refrigerator. Then went over to the Motorhome and have the generator running and the heat on. Remembered to set Alexa an alarm for 3pm. Otherwise it could be running for a very long time ha ha It has been 6 weeks since I last exercised it so it was time. Engine started right up and ran it for a while also.

Now going to turn my self cleaning oven on to clean it, it has been a while. Stove all cleaned with new inserts. Microwave clean ...check. On my second load of laundry. Still have to clean the levelor blinds and wash the windows but saving that for tomorrow. Also need to sort thru my plastics and organize that cupboard. Also 2 more cupboards to clean out and organize. Then this room will be done. I want to get all the deep cleaning in the house done as when Spring gets here I will want to be outside. Noticed last night when I went out at 5:15 it was just getting dark...yippee soon it will be lighter later I love that. Daylight savings time starts so early anymore March 10th this year.

I went to the dentist this morning but she couldn't really find anything. She thinks since I started taking antibiotics on Friday that stopped an abscess. Wants me to finish a round of antibiotics. Said if the abscess comes back I will need a root canal. :(

Somehow I managed to make a day of it. Stopped at 4 stores and ate lunch. I had a weak moment and picked up a King Cake. I kept saying I wasn't going to do that. Maybe if I put it in the freezer I can make it last longer.

Sweetie Pie has to go to the vet in the morning for an x-ray to see if her leg has healed enough to take the pin out. She isn't limping at all anymore. I'm not looking forward to taking her to Lake Charles if she needs the pin taken out.
