It’s Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It’s Wednesday

Postby Othersharon » Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:08 am

Good morning, ladies! Another gloomy day after having some sun the last couple of days. I went out to lunch with a friend yesterday and was great that the sun was out! A good day to be out and about. Looks like today will be another inside day! And Martha I can relate to the wet. Seems like it’s been nothing but wet!
I had to go in to get my oil change on the car the other day and since the dealership is pet friendly I took Rascal with me. I was so proud of him! He’s always been pretty shy and hung back while his brother got most of the attention. But he was actually a bit more friendly and even accepted pets from a young girl. Usually he shied away from kids but the little girl knew just how to approach him so it went great. The rest of the time he quietly laid beside me, touching me but just laid there watching people come and go. It’s interesting seeing the changes now that he’s the only dog.
I contacted my guy to winterize Lola. Trying to get him here next week when Dr. Sue is available to get her rig done too. I’ve pretty well gotten everything out that needs to be taken out for the winter so she’s ready to be covered for the winter. Thinking spring!! Not sure it’s working, the temps are just making it hard!! Love hearing about everyone’s travels. That will have to keep me going in the months to come! Ok, coffee finished so guess no excuse to not get some things done around here. Inside jobs today again. Take care and travel safe if you are on the move.

Wednesday in Quartzsite

Postby asirimarco » Wed Oct 24, 2018 9:10 am

Good Morning to All, Yep we are in a very quiet and empty Quartzsite. We've started our trip south for the Winter. Will not cross into Mexico for a week or so. Today we are going on a mystery trip - hoping to find something I want to see in the desert. We have had a few unpleasant adventures so far. Well more annoying I guess. I wrote about them in my blog. Mainly with our Dish TV network...Was surprised that it is up and running this a.m.
Weather is warm here and yesterday's rain stayed east of us.
Our friends in Mazatlan say there was no damage there from Willa, just some wind and rain. South of there they weren't as lucky though. Will find out more as the days pass.
Tomorrow we'll be on the road again.
Safe travels to those on the road. And good weather for everyone.

Good Morning O’Sharon, Carol and all who follow. Thanks for starting Coffee this morning Sharon. I was going to, but was waiting for Insulation Contractrator too come and figured he would arrive right in middle of my writing post, so decided to wait. They are here now. Adding more insulation to my attic.

We had a great day Monday too. Yesterday turned colder again and few lake effect showers on and off. Drove cown to Frankenmuth and met friends who were here about two weeks ago. Celebrated his 80th Birthday yesterday. Sure wouldn’t know it. They both are so spry. It’s a 2 hour drive down and 2 hours back, but we had a fun time. Cousins came over mid afternoon here and took the fur kids for a nice long walk.

Today is cloudy and chilly this morning but supposed to clear this afternoon. I have my fall chores pretty much done except for covering my shrubs which will wait till snow time. Some leaves and pine needles to clean up. Ur not too bad. Cut my grass and serviced my lawn tractor. It now has new oil filter, fresh oil, new spark plugs, fuel filter, air cleaner and prefilter. So all set for next spring. Will remove battery pretty soon. Want to make a gate on back side of fence, so that may be a project yet this fall, depending on weather.

Been enjoying reading the tales of the dogs in bed. Molly sleeps in her bed and Piper loves my bed, when I”m not in it. She may or may not come up and snuggle with me in the early morning depending on her whim, but she really loves her bed.But like Beth, if I get up during the night to go to bathroom, I usually have a fur ball in middle of my bed when I come back

Barb, hope they getthetreeissue resolved. Carol, was wondering if you were stil in the states, when I heard of Hurricane Willa.

Think adventure plans next year ladies. Spend the winter dreaming and set things into motion. Don’t be afraid to get out and go. We didn’t spend money buying our rigs to use them for lawn ornaments. Have a great day.

Good morning gals! :D

Cloudy from the marine layer this morning. Will burn off later on. No breeze today at all. I have a bird that has been hanging out here the past week or two. I haven't seen him but do hear him, mostly at night, but I just heard him now again. He has one song, kind of goes: high, low, high, low...low low low low. He only sings it one time every 10 minutes or so. Very pretty sound tho.

I work later on today so need to get a few things done before then. Laundry for sure!

I saw a nice camper I really want but it is north of Phoenix and a little beyond what I can afford right now. I am going to rework my finances over the next couple months so I have more money freed up. Hoping I can get a camper before Q, maybe as a birthday present to myself!

The other problem I am having with the new cat food I bought, is that the litter box deposits smell a lot worse! :o I will go back to the Blue Wilderness once this bag is done! Haven't seen any fleas for awhile. Maybe the cooler temps are helping. Ants are also not as active.

Hope you all have a good day whether you are on the road or getting ready for winter. :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good Morning, Yes, Benji sleeps with me! Early evening he is down at the foot, then he slowly moves up to be next to me. And, he too, moves into my warm spot when I get up to go potty myself!!! I'm loving this doggy in bed with us conversation!!! Was it started by Phoebe getting caught in the quilt? Glad she is OK.

I read Road Scholar catalogs and wanted to do some bird watching next spring. However, gasoline at almost $4 per gallon is sure expensive for me. The trip to Lancaster was 400 miles round trip. $100 for gasoline. That really adds up on a long trip. Maybe I will have to stick to AZ and NM for bird watching. Thinking out loud.

Are any bird watchers, Liz, Birdie, going to come west?

The sun is out...off to the pool. lyn

It was CArol that started the talk of dogs sleeping in bed when Mr P got caught in a thread. No dogs for me, just 3 cats. That's enough. I changed the cat from New Orleans name to Mr P. We were calling him PC for park cat. I was letting him come in the house to eat until he peed in the living room floor. Now he's back to eating on the porch. He hasn't missed any meals, he's really too fat.

I got my kennel pan returned and picked up more flea treatments. Everyone got treated today so they are not happy with me.

The sun almost came out today and it didn't rain. There were a few sprinkles when Hank and I walked. We have a 100% chance of rain coming in during the night. I don't like night time storms. I was going to take the truck around to the air compressor and air up the tires but I can't remember more than one thing. It needs to be inspected but they won't do it in the rain.

My next campout is 2 weeks from today in Northeast Texas. I hope the weather is nice.

I am still in SLC taking care of some of the granddaughters for the most part they have been really good
the youngest had a meltdown tonight. my youngest daughter was taking me (us) out to supper it is my 48 anniversary. I told dd that I didn't want fast food which is so what usually comes with 3 even 4 picky eaters.. she said well think of where you want to go the girls would have been ok with Black Bear Diner dd wasn't I wanted German food but no place that sounded like it would work and couldn't pull up menu's to see if there was anything the more fussy eaters would eat...so dd was irritated I had sent the girls up to get shoes on and of course it was taking them forever then the eldest came downstairs and said that her sister was crying cause she made her get out of her room...they each have their own room so I go upstairs and we are having a major fit... I take her arm to take her downstairs I don't want to go and I told her that isn't an option (she is 4) was told I was mean so mean I'm taking you out to supper? fine I will go but I am not eating fine don't eat but come on Aunt is waiting finally after driving around looking in phone discussing places dd asked me to look at Hub and Spoke yes they had pancakes!!! and other stuff and waiters not fast food...very nice food gd that wasn't going to eat ate the whole plate size pancake I had a pot pie that was really good and a house salad that wasn't like any I had ever had in many ways ever had pickled grapes??? I hadn't  have now though pretty good think it is one of those quick pickling techniques as it wasn't really like pickles. then we went to a cookie dough place pretty good better than others that I've had
so that was my anniversary kids are in bed it's quite now look forward to the quite...and yet when it's quite all the time that is bothersome as well
