Good morning. Looks like today is the last warm day before fall comes back in tomorrow! Can’t believe I was out mowing the yard yesterday. Been following the reports on the hurricane. I have friends in the Fort Walton area and hoping all is well with them and all the people in the path of this monster. Remembering the 2 times we had to evacuate from Panama City Beach where we used to have a timeshare. The resort we stayed at was closed for about a year after, I think, Opal hit it.
I need to start thinking about clearing out Lola to get her ready for winter. Don’t think I’ll be able to get out in her again this season. Beth, hoping you’re dodging the bad weather! My sister out in the Denver area has been dealing with light snow and freezing rain. She is SE of Denver. Sue, we have some color here but so far mostly still green on the trees. I did mow some leaves yesterday in the yard but they were all dry and no color to them. That’s how they’ve come off the trees.
So not much else happening here but wanted to check in. Hope everyone stays safe and you can find something fun to do today.

I see that Hurricane Michael has become a cat 4 overnight!
Scary! I sure hope Donna is OK. Check in with us Donna when you can!
Nights are much cooler now. Need to close the windows at night. Daytime is perfect tho! They are getting the first snow of the season back in MN today, up to 6 inches! I sure don't miss that!
Nothing much else new here. Working later this afternoon.
Have a good day and stay safe, warm and dry!

Foot surgery day for Josef here. After dropping him off I picked up Lark and we went to a near by large Bass Pro store to practice her obedience skills. She dealt very well with the moving floor of the elevator until the doors reopened then she temporarily forgot that she was suppose to be heeling. It is scary to realize while I walk around the camping and kayaking areas that I really don't need any of the items. It reflects two issues. The first being that I don't use many of the items they sell and, second, I already have forked over money for the improved kayak paddles, dog vests, tie downs, etc.....
At this stage I am also pretty safe walking into a Camping World.
Make it a good day out there where ever you roam.

Mornin' ladies~~~
Still morning in the central time zone. Made it to Kansas late last night and at at nice COE CG. Im only scheduled to be here one night, but may stay 2 if I can because, drum roll...I did buy a new TT! Smaller and without a slide. It was always a worry for me, taraveling alone. I don't care how reliable folks say they are now
So needless to say, stuff is everywhere! I'll have to get rid of a few things for sure, and some basement stuff is currently in the Ford. It's a work in progress.
That my news. Hope everyone is well. Also thinking about our Florida friends, but at least on FB Liz and DH are out of the way of it. Stay safe and have a good day everyone.

Cheryl, congratulations on the new trailer. I hope your move goes better than mine has. I'm hoping the cooler weather gets me motivated. The slide on my motorhome makes me nervous since I have never had one before. I have to put the jacks down to open the slide and the jacks make a lot of noise going down. I finally made an appointment to get the satellite looked at and to see if there is room to put Maxx Air covers over the fans. I'm going to get them to look at the jacks. They may just need to be lubricated. If I'm just staying somewhere for one night and I'm level enough for the refrigerator I probably won't even go through all that.
Watching the hurricane come on shore and thinking about what a mess I would have if one like that came in here.

Good Morning! A beautiful sunny day here in S.D. Today is our SESQICENTENNIAL!!! 1868–2018.
I am keeping an eye on Michael too! Hoping all our friends and especially Donna are going to be OK.
Cheryl, that is exciting news! I just hope you are happy full timing in a smaller rig! I did not get a slide because I did not want the added weight. However, I am just a once in a while camper now.
My PT session went very well. He listened to me, asked many questions, and gave me four exercises to do. I continue to do the water jogging. It has been so beautiful in our pool.
I now have two people telling me what to do for “my sciatica”. What they did for theirs. I like what my PT had to say to me, and I will stick with him for now.
I will be happy when the daughter returns home. Some things are just too painful to do.

Hi all... Really hot and muggy this morning... but we are starting to get a nice little breeze that helps... Well so far so good... we have had nothing from the hurricane yet... But the storm surge is expected already the water is just a foot below the Seawall at low tide...
Yesterday I did bring in all yard art & plants put things in the garage... Hopefully the storms this afternoon not be too bad ...I just got word that is maybe just 20 mile per hour winds with thunderstorms this afternoon... that's not too bad... I can't wait for winter to get here and the Hurricanes gone so I can get on the road and do some camping again... have a good one

Came home from a week of camping and now it is back to the same ole grind. Shopping and laundry. Vacuuming and dusting tomorrow. Got the Motorhome back in her spot and of course I forgot a couple of things in it so need to go back over today and retrieve those. Planning another short camping trip the end of the month with Laura up in the 7Feathers area. Probably will be the last one until spring. I will be going camping for a week the end of March to a Specialty dog show where Laura and I are volunteering. The RV park is right next to the show so this should be lots of fun. I will also get to meet my breeder from Michigan as she is one of the judges. Will spend winter just puttering around the house or might take a road trip in the car over to the coast for a few nights (during crab season LOL). LOVING this fall weather.

I got a rare burst of energy and motivation
, went outside and leveled off the side yard with sand (that the squirrels had dug up in the back yard), put down the weed protector and then laid down two of the three pieces of faux sod (5' x 12' each) along the driveway. The ground is so hard and there is still crushed rock below the hard dirt so was really hard to get the turf pins to go in. Wish I would have started that earlier when it was cooler out. It is looking pretty nice now. Just need to get the last piece down and tacked down and then once I get the pavers up from the patio, put those in place. There used to be 2X4's laid along the lot line between the neighbors crushed rock and my rock/wood chip mess. They were all rotten so we pulled them out. I found some 8 foot round redwood fence posts real cheap at Home Depot so I will get some of those and lay those down along the lot line. The pavers are red too, so it should look nice when it is all done. Then I have 4 half barrel planters that I will put on the grass area with some plants in those. Will be nice to get that project done! That area has been a real eye-sore since I bought this place almost a year ago. I am sure my neighbor will be happy about it since she has to look at it every day!
Now to clean up and get ready for work!

Good afternoon!
Cheryl, congratulations on your new home! I'm so happy for you! Beth, where are you? Lynn, so glad your PT went well. Martha, you amaze me with things you do on the road and in the house. So glad Shirl is checking in. Barbie, I love the dress and earrings you bought! I could go on and on.
Steve and I left this morning at 8:15 to go to Wilson NC, which was over a 6 hour trip. It was sort of foggy out when he left the house and I was guiding him out of our driveway. He can only turn left because of a ditch on the other side, goes into a large parking lot to turn around and continue. Our property is on the bottom of a small hill and Steve, nor did I, see the dump truck barreling down the road at 50+ MPH on our 40 MPH road and he missed Steve by inches. Since our engine is in the back, I knew our trip was futile, but he got the truck slowed down enough to miss our motorhome. He saved his dump truck and we are continuing our trip. Whew! We made it to Wilson and are going to sit out the storm here and probably leave Saturday, depending on the damage south of us. I can't believe these folks have been hit by two storms, practically back to back. So sad.
Stay safe everyone!

spent the day with my mom...it is her 92nd birthday...had thought about taking her out to dinner but decided just to make
a nice dinner thought it would be cheaper for us...and could include my daughter as well...she dosed the morning away
for the most part...Price is Right is something not missed....she slept even into the next show which is never watched...
she finally awoke enough to be hungry so told her I had thought we could go to the store and pick up grocery's and get some soup for lunch ended up having salad and toast for lunch then I went to store as she isn't a afternoon shopper... so had salmon baked sweet potato and broccoli as well as those phooey that seafood place biscuits can get a box mix and make them. turned out really good love the recipe that I follow for the salmon
had snow coming home but not the kind that is sticking to the pavement although the snow plow was up on the pass looking I guess...

Shiela, is that the Red Lobster biscuits you are talking about?
Irmi, that was a close call! A dump truck could have done some major damage to your rig! Glad it missed you but I am sure your blood pressure was sky high for awhile! Did you get a chance to yell at the guy and give him a piece of your mind?
Lyn, glad your PT is going well. Hope you are feeling better soon! I know those things take awhile to heal tho especially as we get older.
Cheryl, congrats on the new trailer! What kind is it and what size? Did to trade your other one in for that one?
My handyman is coming over in the morning to help me get the pavers up so I can move them to the side of the driveway.
Off to bed!
