And It's Sunday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

And It's Sunday

Postby Bethers » Sun Sep 30, 2018 9:06 am

September is coming to a close. Time to say Rabbits tomorrow. It's hard to believe the year is 3/4's over!

Sometime this afternoon I'll have the store closed for the season and inventory (starting already) will get into high gear.

I'm looking forward to getting on the road... Different routes this year because it looks like the weather is conducive to driving through the mountains. Hopefully I'll stop some places I've been before and love and others for the first time. I'll be winging it... Just the general route planned. Wednesday morning I'll be ready!

It has been Sunday for me for hours now. Dang dog is afraid of the rain on the patio and carport. I also have a couple of skylights that intensify the rain. Emma went out to potty before bed last night in the rain and didnt seem to bother her too much. Bothered me more, yuck wet smelly dog as she has to find just the right spot first. Up since 3:30am.....just wrong. Couldnt go back to sleep of course so even tho I am not a napper I just might be this afternoon.

Got my housekeeping duties mostly done yesterday. Now just have to take the garbage over to the dumpster and then sweep the floors and head to my recliner for the afternoon. Need to figure out what clothes I am taking to the Pow Wow campout. I know it will be kind of warm during the day but the mornings and evenings are chilly now.

Hope you have a wonderful journey Beth wherever you are headed.

Velda been thinking of you and hoping you are getting settled into your new routines. Sometimes it just takes a while, no hurry.

Good morning, end of the month, wow, this month went by fast!
Had a great visit with old friends yesterday from Colorado. Hung out in the pool, chatted it up, lunch at Culvers, a lot more chatting, then dinner at the Organ Stop Pizza, very interesting but much to loud for my old ears. Finally home to the girls and they didn't waste any time running out to poddy. Of course they were very happy to see me and were watching from the window as I pulled up.
Today I am taking the mh to the gas station to fill up using my fuel discount that expires tonight. Starts over tomorrow. Will also run to Wal-Mart for freshpet and a new collar for Maggie. Hers is maxed out and is much too tight now. I think I feed her too well, lol
Still no decisions on where I'm going when the park closes, and that's part of, well , mostly the big reason for my emotional state of mind. Those of you that know me well, KNOW I always have a plan! Not this time. :-(
Dishes are done, time to clear the table and stove, get everything stowed and take a drive. Ya'll have a great day, be safe.

It's raining again. I sound like a broken record. It has rained over an inch over night and still raining.

Yea, I remembered to go pick up my lunch at the park. They have a well run operation. There is a circle drive in front of the gate so you just drive around, give you ticket to one person, drive up and they put your food in your car. I really do need to join the Friends of the Park group. If it hadn't been for the community this state park wouldn't have opened. Because of state budget cuts I think volunteers are just about running the park. There was a request for people to mow. I know how to run a zero turn mower so could do that if it would ever quit raining.

I went to town in the motorhome yesterday mostly to just run it. I got gas so one less thing to do on Thursday. I have a campout with the Sisters on the Fly in Breaux Bridge. This will be my first campout with them but have friends from other groups that will be there. There will only be one pot luck with heavy appetizers. I'm still trying to figure out what heavy appetizers are. lol

Walmart is putting out the Halloween candy and snacks. I like to stock up on the snacks in little bags. That is probably an expensive way to buy snacks but works for me since I seem to have very little will power. I can eat one small bag and be done. If I have a big bag of chips I will eat half of it.

I have over 100 TV channels and nothing I want to watch. There's football on a lot of channels. I am so into football, NOT. LSU played last night and I don't know who they played or who won.

As usual on a Sunday, I am enjoying watching the weekenders leave! Plymouth Park in southeastern Washington has been almost empty during the week, but filled up this weekend with families and lots of little kids. Not too noisy at night. Burn ban means no campfires and the sewer and dump station is out of order, which reduces the number of people. I really, really slept in last night. Night before last I barely slept because of kidney and bladder pain, but it was gone yesterday, so got much more sleep, which I really needed.

I decided that when I leave on Wednesday morning, instead of going back to Eugene through Portland and I-5 that I would do some exploring and head south through the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and also stop in Bend. Then I will stay near Bend for a couple of days on my way. I have the time, so might as well use it well.

It rained last night. Not an all-night downpour, but enough to get things wet and give the grass and plants a little relief. They need the kind of rain you have had, Martha!

Good Morning, sometimes I feel 50,000 years old. My ankle is still sore only when I walk. I emailed my regular doc and told her I would not see the other doc again. I probably will get a reputation of being a problem patient.

I am doing more reading, if that is possible, while spending so much time on the couch. Read a cute story about two women who turned their home into a shelter for cats. Getting my car fix vicariously.

Sounds like lots of fun trips coming up! No trips for me for awhile.

Ava, sounds like you need a plan! At least working on one might get your mood up a bit.

Lyn, did they X-ray your ankle? Maybe it is sprained? Sprains can hurt worse than a break. Do you wrap it up at all? There are some ankle braces you can get for more support when you walk (I have braces for everything, including several for my ankles! ).

Worked 8 hours today so am very tired tonight!

I ordered and finally got a dress for my nephews wedding in March. It is very nice and only cost me $30 including shipping! I need to do a few little adjustments to it (sleeves and hem) but it fits very well. Just need to find some comfortable black shoes to wear with it (comfortable is the key word here!). Best thing is I can wear it for other occasions and could even shorten it to knee length if I want to later on.

Don't forget to say "Rabbits" tonight or tomorrow morning!!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Barbie, Love, love, love that dress. Saw your ear rings and those will look great too!
And, yes, they took an x-tay of the ankle. Can't see anything wrong he said.

Barbie, that's a beautiful dress and you have the figure for it. We need a pic of you in it!
