Good morning! Almost noon for some of you!
Nothing much new to add from last nights post but just thought I would get this started for today. I don't work until 4 today so I need to get some things done around here before then.
Lola is sitting next to me purring. She has been so unusually affectionate lately.
She is finally turning into a sweet lap cat now after 9 years.
Have a good day where ever you are and what ever you are up to!

Slow and rainy day here in Ohio. Lark and Audrey are going to obedience class this evening and they all got groomed because Josef didn’t want to get all the attention. He is starting his usual week befor the show preparations. They all got their nails Dremeled and managed to adapt to lying on the grooming table while I did their feet. Even Lark. So much easier on my hips and back than sitting on the floor and trimming nails. Not having to contain Remi trying to have panic attacks while his nails get Dremeled helps. The other three just tried to wiggle a few times and gave up.
Even with the rain I am enjoying the two layers sort of weather.

Sunny and cool here in southeastern Washington state, but I had a horrible night's sleep. Slept from 1:30 am to 4:00 am and then not again until from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, so I am still tired. Worried about my elderly aunt and uncle who need to go to assisted living. Uncle has falled several times in last few weeks, and just cannot safely walk. Also, both have dementia which means aunt has been forgetting to cook, we believe. Plus hospital said if we do not get them to assisted living, they will call in state protective services. Years ago, aunt and uncle gave us power of attorney in case they are debilitated, which is where we think they are now. Other niece is there now with her adult son handling things. I cannot go because I have some medical issues I need to solve, so got tests and doctor appointments scheduled and am considering several treatment options.
Am at Plymouth Park, which is COE and very quiet this week. Normally, these are full-hookup sites, but sewer system is down for repair, so I will have to drive a couple of miles to dump station. Even restrooms and showers are non-functioning, so there will not be any campers! Do have water and electric, and it is nice to have it so quiet with a just a few other RVs.

Judy, is that the couple you were helping with before? Sounds like they really need to get into assisted living at the very least. Funny, when we tried to get adult protective services to help get my dad out of his house, they said there was nothing they could do even tho he had dementia, was falling on a regular basis, and not taking care of himself. Hope your aunt and uncle get the help they need.
And hope you get your medical issues resolved. Are you still in Oregon?
Lyn, how are you doing with your back and leg pain?

No gloom here. Sunny and 80° today. Hitting 95-97 Tuesday, Wed and Thursday. Good I want to shampoo my rugs and the warm weather will help dry them for sure.
No painting or sorting today. Day of rest. I did go to the grocery store but that was a necessity. Tomorrow I meet with my new financial advisor as my other one is retiring. Wednesday going out for a birthday lunch for one of my neighbors. Then Wednesday have Mexican train. WOW this retirement stuff is keeping me busy. Another week and I will be packing to go camping WAHOO now that is my idea or retirement ha ha

Temps are coming down here. Was pretty nice this morning but clouds are here and I think we'll be getting some rain. We do need it and like Tina, I'm enjoying putting on layers.
On another note I received my absentee ballot today. So tonight I'll do my voting and get it mailed back. One thing I like about voting this way is that there is always something on every ballot that I didn't know about... So I can do due diligence this way and vote correctly (For me).

Yes, Barbie. Same childless aunt and uncle, age 88 each. They live in a huge home in a gated community in the mountains, meaning 20 miles to groceries and 1.5 hours to nearest big city with specialists. We have tried and tried to get them to move to another one of their homes in a Florida senior community where they could get nursing care and meals, but no luck. Even packed them up three times only to have them refuse at last minute. And my male cousin went there twice this summer and tried to do the same thing. Talk about stubborn, but then you know about stubborn with your father!!!
He has fallen several times and got hospitalized this last time. Neighbors have been checking on them and bringing food etc, but hospital said neither of them has been eating and he is malnourished, and if we did not get him into care, they would call adult protective services. Neighbors are threatening intervention as well. Other niece found POA form signed and notarized from several years ago and their will listing us as joint executors, which is fantastic. I told her to make copies of everything in case it "disappeared." So other niece has some assisted living places lined up to take them to. Trying to sell it as a temporary move until he gains weight, but frankly, it is likely to be permanent. They cannot manage a drive down to Florida right now.
Found out if he sits on toilet, he falls getting up.

My brothers and I used to say "it will be easier to keep him out of the house, than to get him out of the house!" Altho that didn't prove to be the case since the nursing home kept sending him back home from transitional care. He had them fooled for sure! It was very frustrating!
