Morning everyone. Mid Sept. already! Time is just moving right along it seems, especially as we get older it seems.

Velda, thinking of you this morning as you go through the funeral rites for Mel. Take care of yourself. Remember, we are here for you so post anything you want that will help you get through this trying time. Tina, hope you have great success at this weekends show.

I’m heading out to finish some painting on the deck this morning. Takes about 5 days to do this as the railngs are white and deck is a light gray, so have to paint railings first, let dry and then do the gray, but leave one section open so dogs can access the backyard. So finished up one section yesterday, will open that up today and then the last section will get done. That won’t take long as it’s more a matter of touch ups than overall painting, but I will use up the reminder of the paint and call it quits. Neighbor down the road needs some help putting some privacy panels on her deck, so will be going over there around noon.

Hope those of you on the east coast are faring okay with Florence ashore and spreading out. Keep safe wherever you are.

Almost noon but I'm about ready for a nap. Its been a tough week keeping up on Abbys medication. I had to make myself a chart and do the check off each time I gave her meds. Waiting for the vet to call and see what test results show and he wanted to see her again and see how she's coming along. Her face is back to looking normal with the exception of the bulge on her eyebrow area. She can close her eye now and she's making her own tears but I know her bulge is painful as she bumped it and let out a squeal. Poor baby. Wish we knew what happen, but not importantly, I want her eye to be normal again.
I took the afternoon off today so I could be available when I got that phone call.
Still trying to get over my own cold and cough, 3 days left of amoxicillin for me. Cough is so bad I feel like my ribs are broke. Dr says a long to heal with the cough.
The park here put notices on everyone's door the other day wanting us to fill out and return asap. They want to know when we're moving???? Geez !!, no pressure or anything,,! I almost didn't fill it out but I did and my answer to them was,,,,,,,,sometime between Jan 2019 and Aug 2019 when I found a place to move to. Turned it in like that. (the deadline is Aug 4th, 2019)

For a few minutes this morning, I was positive it was Thursday, so happy to see the real day on the forum.

Anyway, I am back along the Columbia River at LePage Park. Luckily, I had an uneventful drive here from Eugene, OR. (Like no tire blowouts or things falling off my motorhome that need to be replaced!) Had a good night's sleep, and this morning watched the two couples across from my in two sites pack up to leave. Truck camper and tent, plus big boat and bed of tow truck filled completely with two tables, smoker, three coolers, pile of foam mattresses, and bunch of chairs. Inside back seat of truck was stack of rolled up sleeping bag--more than for four people. They spent three hours getting loaded!

I like this place because it is cheap ($12.50), and each spot has water and electric, but most importantly, pull-thru sites along river have great views of the John Day River and surrounding hills, plus the hills way on the other side of the Columbia River. Highly recommend this place, especially in spring and fall when there are not a lot of noisy powerboats on the river.

Have only a couple of hours work before I have to turn in grades, so this will be a quiet day and maybe I will even have some time to read! Very quiet here right now and no smoke as there was when I was here a month ago. Temps are going to be about 70 during day and 50 at night--PERFECT!!

It's been a long time since I have had a migraine but woke up with one this morning. I had to take aspirin twice to get rid of it and still don't feel that good. I need to go to town but don't know if that will happen.

Ava, what are they going to do with the park you are in when they get everyone out? I had an electric pole on a lot by a lake near my sister one time. I could go and spend the weekend in my camper. There were about 20 lots rented for RV's and mobil homes and it stayed rented all the time. Someone bought the property and made every one get out. The gate was locked and nothing was ever done with the property. Aggravated me to no end because it was perfect for what I wanted.

Last night there was screaming coming from the living room. Possie and Stinky had cornered Frosty. He won't stand up to them. I don't know whether to let him stay outside when I leave next week or shut him up with the witches. He knows how to go in the old house and eat with the outside cats.

It doesn't look like it's going to rain today so the temperature is back up to 95.

I can't believe September is half over either!

Ava, when I had my cough, it hung on for months! And I coughed so hard that I did damage to my ribs which also took a long time to heal. I sympathize with you!

I am in pain today too...just spent $620 to have a new wash machine put in! Barely had a chance to cash my roommates rent check and it is almost gone! :(

Finished cleaning the guest room and bath yesterday but then I stopped to eat lunch and lost my momentum. Still need to clean out the fridge to make room for her stuff and also clear out some cupboards for her. That shouldn't take too long tho. The house is a mess too so will spend tomorrow cleaning up in here and doing laundry that I am way behind on now.

Denise is moving in tomorrow morning so today is my last day to be alone here. I am actually looking forward to having a roommate. I don't like being alone so much anymore. Am hoping it works out well for both of us. I hope the cats like her too.

Have a good day! :D
