Hot Humid Wednesday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Hot Humid Wednesday

Postby Shirlv » Wed Aug 29, 2018 10:01 am

Good Morning All,
Another day when old timers are told to stay indoors. It’s ok because I have chores. Top of my list, Readers Digest says I have to clean my washer with bleach. How did I survive all these years using a dirty washer? Had a fun day with my friend from first grade. She has 2 huge beautiful cats and one teacup pom. At 4:45 the Pom sits at her feet and stares. She tells him it isn’t 5 o clock yet. At precisely 5, she walks to the kitchen singing 1/3 of a scoop and then you poop, etc. watching this little fellow prancing and following her is hysterical. Well maybe you had to be there. Anyway a great day and didn’t even have wine. Safe travels

Rain Again Wednesday

Postby Acadianmom » Wed Aug 29, 2018 10:03 am

I don't know that I have ever started Morning Coffee. The weather men were right about us getting rain. We had received and inch yesterday and it rained again last night and this morning. We could sure send some to the fires.

I had never paid much attention to the Tervis Cups until Beth was talking about them. Yesterday I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and they had a table full of them at the front door on sale. Of corse I had to have a Mardi Gras one. The BB&B near me put in a big drug, cosmetic and baby area and I found some Johnson's baby creamy oil in the aloe & vitamin e scent for 3.99. Went to Whole Foods looking for a brand of dipping oil I found at TJ Maxx a while back. I have looked at a few grocery stores and that's not something most carry. There's a kitchen store in the oil center. I'll have to remember to try over there. Needed to go to the bank and never made it so have to go back to town.

Shirl beat me by 2 minutes. Beth will have to fix my post.

My washer comes up with a message to clean it ever so often. What is it doing every time I wash a load of clothes? I usually put bleach in when I wash a load of towels so mostly ignore it.

I have gotten my cats so spoiled to getting treats that every time I go in the kitchen there are 5 cats looking at me. When CC wants out he will stand in the utility room door and howl at me . He is insistent that I come open the back door for him. They have me well trained.

Good Morning, I think all pet owners are made clearly aware of their pets time tables. Mine want to go to bed at 9:40. They also know when their favorite person is coming to visit. This morning I didn't say anything about her coming but they started watching the door and barking. She called and said she couldn't come and they all haven't barked since and quit watching the door.
It just poured rain here and now hopefully the cool days the weather man promised will arrive. I also wonder about the need to wash our washers now. I never did that before but I'm beginning to notice an odor when I open the lid and guess I. need to explore what to use as I can't stand bleach smell.
Tina hope you get a good spot to park at the dog show this weekend. DH is taking Emma to a practice Novice Obedience trial in Evansville IN on Sat. The trainer will work with her but he enjoys watching. Mitzi, Toby and I will cheer them on from home.

My washer is in the basement and I always leave the lid open and do not have an odor. That might not be desirable if the washer is a laundry room. I use Clorox 2 so cleaning might not be necessary. Mine is an el cheap model and doesn’t have an dirty washer alarm. Guess they think I don’t have money for bleach. :D All the warnings make me crazy. I didn’t bother to read the one that said I was showering all wrong.

If using bleach to clean the washer, I would run it again afterward just to make sure all the bleach was gone before putting clothes in there again. Would hate to ruin any clothes!

Animals are very intuitive! We had a cat when I was little who knew when my dad was coming home from out of town (he was a traveling salesman) before my mom even did. He would wait by the door for an hour or so before my dad would pull in the driveway.

I forgot to clean the litter box last night. Lola apparently wasn't happy about that and she crapped right outside my bedroom door this morning! :o She doesn't do things like that very often so I figured I deserved that. Luckily, I didn't step in it when I got up this morning! I will be more vigilant about cleaning the box every night before going to bed!

Today is clean up day in the master, before I go to work this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day! :D

Good morning
Early release at school, came home to potty the dogs, eat breakfast, relax a little and have to go back by 11:00. Should be getting home before it gets too hot. Mornings are starting to be really nice, will need my sweater very soon.
Y'all enjoy your day.

I've never cleaned a washing machine either and don't have one now, but I looked it up and it says add four cups of white vinegar and fill with hot water. I can see where that would help where you have hard water.

Came out to dump my tanks and now waiting for a haircut and last of student presentation groups today, so this will be last day I have to drive out until I leave campground on Saturday. More later.

I updated my signature photo as someone suggested, but I forgot how to resize it, it's been so long. Maybe someone will be kind and do it for me. I also updated the blog, but you will see that I haven't done a post in a long time. Been very busy with married life this year, lol. Off to bake an apple pie...something else I haven't done in a long time.

Nice pic Liz! I am sure someone will be able to resize that for you. Hope married life is going good for you!

The clock I bought yesterday has the same design on the frame as the bathroom mirror frame. I hadn't noticed that before. The color was just a little different tho so I painted it to match the mirror and it looks awesome! I love when things come together like that! :D

Kind of warm today but not humid and a light breeze so not too uncomfortable.

I'm on my phone and my resizer on it really loses clarity... I cropped it to keep the clarity I did.
