Beautiful Friday

Pleasant morning. Trapped indoors during the rainy spring I dreamed about a container garden and a bubbling fountain on the deck. Worked very hard, accomplished all that even pampering the *&$# flower bulbs to save money. Then the heat and humidity came and I found out I am elderly and need to heed the health warnings to stay inside. In my minds eye I did not picture me looking at the bubbling fountain through the kitchen window. :D But today I will frolic outside, maybe not frolic so much as walk around in the sunshine. Will wash the car, pull some weeds and have happy hour on the deck. life’s simple pleasures. Enjoy your day and safe travels.

Shirl, sounds like you are gonna have a wonderful day enjoying the outdoors and your garden and water feature finally! I need to make one of those for my porch!

Sunny here this morning. They keep predicting low 70's and it keeps getting into the 80's, so will see what happens today. I work late this afternoon and then off tomorrow. Today will be my pampering day; frost my hair, dye my eyebrows, do a pedicure, etc.

I spotted my momma raccoon outside last night with three babies. I thought she only had two but saw the third with her last night. They must have their den just along the creek next to my house. They come up thru the rain culvert from the creek to the road in front. I can always hear the babies doing their chittering noises.

Beth, how is your new dog doing? Is he a keeper? I know you said you have a one week trial period.

Have a good day! :D

I can't take the heat anymore. My motorhome is under a shed and not sitting out in the sun. I have the air conditioner set to keep it about 80 in there so it will come on every so often to keep the mud daubers from building nests in the A/C. Even at 80 degrees I get too hot if I'm in there. They are predicting temperatures of 96 through the weekend with a heat index of 113. I won't be doing much outside.

I need to go to Lafayette but not moving very fast. I have been wanting to go by At Home and look for a poster frame. Their frames are a lot cheaper than Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I have a poster from a 2010 festival. Don't want to rush into anything.

Yes, A beautiful Friday. Altho I thought it was Thursday until someone said Happy Friday to me!. I had to go look at my phone before I believed them! Now I have lost a day. And I had so much I wanted to do on that lost Thursday!

Walked down to the convention center the past three days to look at the comic con doings. So many happy people and great costumes! More heading that way this morning passing by my window.

Well, I got Benji and me bathed and hair washed, so that is done. Now onto the other Thursday chores.

It is a very SMOKEY Friday here. I thought it was smokey yesterday but today is much worse. I cannot even see the hills that surround me and it is very stinky and my car is covered in ash.....YUCK I have my air purifier going but my house is so open concept that I usually only use it in my bedroom for my allergies. I might be retreating there tho.

I had to go out today as I took Emma to get groomed and nails done. Went to the store while I was out and then picked her up and we are staying inside at least until this smoke blows out. At least with the smoke the ONLY bright side is we are not as hot.

Well, better smoke than flames. :o Be careful and stay inside until it clears up. Hope they can get control of the fires soon!

Sorry to hear about all the heat and smoke everyone is experiencing. I had problems with the heat last summer so this summer am in Washington and Oregon along the coast where it is nice and cool. Also, good breezes off the ocean and sound keeps the smoke away. I also have allergies and smoke drives me crazy.

Even with the cool weather, I have been inside for the last couple of days getting some things done for my class, cleaning, vacuuming, and reorganizing stuff. Also mapped out my plans for late fall and early winter. Yesterday was really chilly, but it looks nicer today.

I cleaned out underneath my RV sink today. I knew there was a small leak, but it seemed livable, however it is worse than I thought, so I am going outside for a bike ride to explore this state park and then will gather up my tools and my courage and try to fix it myself. I am pretty sure I know which fitting is doing the leaking--the one where the U-drain hooks to. Never done this, so wish me luck!!

And frolic all you can, Shirl. My frolicking days seem to be numbered, as well, so we need to enjoy what we can.

Barbie, Ty is definitely a keeper. The only chance I wouldn't have would have been if the vet found anything earth shattering that I couldn't deal with. He saw her today and is officially in his forever home now.

I figured he would have to do something very very horrible for him not to move in LOL Great you found each other, cant wait to meet him. Emma loves all dogs too after she gets to meet them. She is so not an Alpha dog, she lays down on her back like a friggin' hussy. When the smelling is all over she is ready to play.

You are so right, Karen. And I would have been devastated for us if a major health issue had been found and probably would have still kept him. Putting him back with the shelter would have been an answer that would have shattered me.
