It's Friday!

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

It's Friday!

Postby Colliemom » Fri Jul 13, 2018 8:31 am

Good Morning. Another week coming to a close. Finally got some rain here, not enough, but better than none. Cloudy right now but supposed to clear later today. Hot and humid is the word for the weekend, but after that, back down into the 80's. Was supposed to have been in 80's yesterday, but with the cloud cover, we made the mid 70's. Perfect. Worked on my trailer installing my Pop A Napkin holder and putting some other things I got at Camping World where I wanted to store them. Relined the shelves in my clothes closet by the bed etc. Cleared out a plastic bin in storage area so now have empty space in there. Had an extra piece of sewer hose and some spare sewer related parts in the bin, but already have 25 feet of sewer hose in the carrier on my back bumper, so don't need that other piece. Put the sewer parts into a deeper and smaller container, so takes up less room. Am now looking at stick on tiles for the bathroom. ON the fence about painting in there.

Not sure where today is going. Might run back to Camping World as need another foam insert for my bathroom skylight. One I bought wasn't big enough, so need a second one and will cut it in half. Plus saw some neat RV coasters they had and am now thinking they might make neat wall decorations if put up as a collage.

But first off to the shower and hair wash. Have a nice day all.

Gmorning Sue & all to follow :)

And the 13th, if anyone really cares? Sue, you're as busy as ever. Sounds like some good cleaning & improvements to your TT. You'll be off on another trip soon, I think?

All is well here. Doing some major housecleaning today, since I'm having my cousin Di over for dinner tonight. I don't cook very often, but the other day I had a "meat craving," & found a marinated pork tenderloin on sale. Fortunately, not so humid today, and I'll use the oven in the upstairs apt so I don't heat up my downstairs. Yardwork is minimal these days--no rain, so no mowing. Chances of thunderstorms early next week, but not expected to bring much rain.

Hope y'all are doing well...have a great day & be safe always 8-)

Carol reminded me it's Friday the 13th. Not that I'm very superstitious.

No plans for the weekend. The dog still has 3 days of medicine to take and then has to go back to the vet.

It's overcast and looks like it could rain. The grocery store deli has fried catfish on Fridays but the rate I'm moving they will be out before I make it to town.

Hi Sue, Carolb, Alice & Martha,

I am supersticious, and although the Father at church told me to make the sign of the cross before I leave the house, I left yesterday and I'll leave again tomorrow. So we're good to go for one day without leaving the property.

We're trying to purge some things from under the kitchen and bathroom sinks since the plumbers are trying to get our water running. This has been a nightmare and don't know if we'll have any recourse. I'm contacting attorney's to see if it's worth fighting.

We've had two - 1/2 bushels of steamed crabs since we've been home and have totally enjoyed them. We had crab cakes yesterday and they're on the menu again for tomorrow. Fish tonight.

Sunny, breezy and fairly warm today but feels nice on the porch with the fan on.

Slept really good last night with my new AC on. Nice that it takes out the humidity too.

We had an HOA board meeting the other night and one of the ladies I met at the 4th of July picnic came over to see if I was going. I figured I should go since I haven't been to one before. It was interesting. The lady tho is a Negative Nelly and I suspect the neighborhood gossip. I probably won't be hanging out with her much. The other woman I met, Linda, is very nice and we get along well. She is the one who lives in the home on the creek that I am jealous of her terraced deck and patio down along the creek. (I only can see the creek by looking down over the retaining wall).

I discovered that my raccoon that was coming up on my porch is a mommy since I could tell she was filled with milk when she stood up. Last night she brought her babies up on the porch but they quickly got spooked and all ran off. I only saw two babies but there may have been more. So adorable. :D I am no longer feeding her since I want her to teach the babies to find natural food on their own, not to look for it from humans.

Sue, we need some pics of your recent renovation in your trailer. :D

Off to work shortly and then I have tomorrow off.

Barbie, did the cats sleep with you in the air conditioning? I bet they will enjoy the cool. Frosty and CC usually want out first thing in the morning but Frosty is spending more time in the house. I told him he was taking the day off.
