Gmorning all :)

Hope this finds y'all starting your day in whatever manner suits you:) I've had my 2 cups of coffee & will be heading to the yard shortly.

A few quick responses to a couple of you who have been kind enough to answer my questions or direct comments to me :) Sheila & maybe some others that I don't remember now  , thanks for welcoming me back with "you've been missed," & Cheryl, thanks for explaining your fulltime situation. Now to Catherine, a question: the tree in your patio? I totally missed something, as I only know of your living on the second floor...sorry if you have to re-explain due to my inattention :? or should I say "lack of fb participation"

Routine yard maintenance today, veggie garden looking good but still quite a wait for produce. However, I'm picking 2-3 cups of strawberries daily now:) Weather is back to ideal, after a couple of days wearing 2 sweatshirts for most of the day!

Y'all have a great day & as always be safe wherever you are 8-)

Good Morning Carol and others who drop by. Send some of that cool weather this way please, heat indexes here to be over 103 today!!! I have serious cabin fever as it is too hot to do anything. I need to check out the book reviews as I'm finding it harder to find something interesting and free or cheap on Amazon. The newer books all seem to have so many editing problems I find it distracting. Toby's leg is healing well and he gets the stitches out on Tuesday.
Enjoy your day and safe journeys if you are on the road.

So great to have you posting again Carolb. We’ve missed you. Those strawberries sound wonderful. Any shortcake on the menu?

Tomorrow I head out for 3 weeks starting up the coast of California to check out the redwoods. Will eventually reach Bullard’s Beach on the Oregon coast and GTG there with forum friends. I’m so excited to get back on the road. Haven’t been out since Jan. in Q. Right now I’m sitting in Les Schwab trying to get the mess they caused fixed. When I bought my RV new in 2012, it came with flexible extensions for adding air to the inside dual tires. Last year when I replaced the back 4 tires, I specifically asked them to be sure to put the flexible extensions back on since they worked so well. My mistake was not checking to make sure they did that. Instead the guy replaced them with some solid metal extensions. In January when trying to add air in Q for my return home, I couldn’t because the ones they installed had rubbed on the outside wheel making a hole in the extensions. So there was no way to add air because the air went out the hole. Luckily a tire store in Q was able to replace them but they were the same kind. That’s all they had. Now those have rubbed and have holes. I’m waiting to see what they do. May have to do a temporary fix again and order flexible ones. I’ve been so lucky with my RV not having any inherent problems. In this case it’s people that have caused the problem. Grrrrrr.......

Carolb, you are always missed when you aren't around. So there!

My signal has been hit and miss.... Had a little one Thursday but not good enough for here... Thought my post on FB was going through, but it didn't until I took my scenic drive Friday morning. At the cg last night I'd have a great signal, then none lol

I love Theodore Roosevelt NP. Will have to come back. The downpours today have cut into things I wanted yet to see. I could easily spend several days or a week here. I stayed in the North Unit cg Thursday night and did that scenic route Friday morning then headed to the South Unit CG where I was lucky to get a site yesterday... Then spent yesterday afternoon driving that scenic loop and doing a couple trails. Had more to see if the weather cooperated, but it didn't, so I'm headed about 1/2 way back south. Will stop in Rapid City tomorrow and fill up on groceries etc. Right now I'm at the Painted Rock visitor's center and scenic view of Theodore Roosevelt NP... But can't see much and weather says I don't be taking the planned nature trail. Oh well... I always say it's good leaving wanting more!

Beth, I somehow missed that you left the store? Happy safe travels anyhow.
We were at UCD yesterday for chest check and left side drain. Sadly Mel looks weaker now almost day by day. And last night, though he has been told to wake me, he got up with reflux to get Maalox and turned to greet the cat and landed on the fortunately padded and carpeted floor. Really lucky no apparent injuries and he says he learned. We shall see. Just puttering here while doing what he needs. Did get two loads of laundry done or last in dryer, so it's a start.
Have a good weekend everyone. Sorry I don't have enough attention span at moment to individually mention your doings but I do read and notice.

Velda, just a long weekend. I'll be back to the store sometime tomorrow.

Rained my whole drive today... Was nice and stopped when I pulled into the free nfs site I'm in for tonight. Back in my favorite site here that I picked out driving through and stopping here on a not long weekend last summer. Is supposed to be raining again most of tomorrow. I plan to stop on the way through Rapid City... Shop for me and somethings for the store. I promise I won't like my alarm Monday LOL

My sister and I went up to the lake Wednesday for a couple of days. Her nephew came on Thursday and cleaned the air conditioner on the camp trailer we have there. It was full of trash. I never did make it up there last year with all that was going on with Harold. The a/c is running a lot better now. We have to have a/c in Louisiana. The fishing was good but mostly small fish to throw back. At least they keep us entertained. We aren't serious fishermen anyway.

We are suppose to get a lot of rain so I decided to mow the low part of the yard when I got home yesterday. Once I got started I mowed until I couldn't see anymore. Finished it up today and it still hasn't rained.

Sandi, I feel you pain with your tires. It seems like it's always something with mine. I had a valve stem stuck open and fixed last week. Yesterday that tire was down to 60 pounds. Thank goodness I have a monitor system that lets me know when a tire is low. Now to try to figure out why it's losing air. I have the flexible extensions on my dual tires. That's the only way I can put air in them. I try to keep a set on hand just in case. The tire place I go to is a small operation and I can stand and watch them and don't think I don't.

Thanks for that note Beth. Thought I’d really missed something!
Boy have I and times changed. Today I did laundry, cleaned my purse, and made cannabis capsules! Not something in a million years I would have thought while in nursing school I would be doing. Just call me Mels pharmacist. He has slept since lunch. Otherwise quiet here.
