Good Morning Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Good Morning Friday

Postby BirdbyBird » Fri Jun 15, 2018 6:50 am

Yesterday the alarm was set for 5 am. Today we were able to sleep an wake up without an alarm. Yesterday Josef was able to earn Best of Breed English Cocker in the Top Ten Competition here at the UKC Premier. Audrey just got to look really cute showing one more time. She kept her tail wiggling and kept her eyes on her handler and the food the whole time. She does enjoy showing. Josef made the cut of eight in his semi final ring but was not one of the four choose to move on to the final round. It has been an interesting adventure. Now three more days of just regular shows. Not looking forward to the heat wave coming in for the weekend. At least our rings are inside air conditioning. There are many performance events going on around the grounds: dock diving, weight pulling, agility, lure coursing, obedience and rally, nose work, barn hunts.....Yesterday, I wasn’t feeling good enough to wander over to watch any of them. I am hoping that I can see a little more today.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Having coffee and catching up on paperwork. Will help with the hay stacking this afternoon. But this morning, I shall try to hook up my new wireless printer (HP 3830). That will probably be so much fun. They, those forecasters, are saying that here in East TX and all the way over to Martha’s (Acadianmom) world will soon be getting rain. Sure hope we do get some sooner rather that later. July and August can be dry months.

Tina, so glad that Mr. J is still gathering those wall decorations for you! Audrey will be getting fat showing like that  ! Keep up the fun and gathering of those ribbons.

I broke down and ordered me a new mattress topper. Mine is 6 years old and kind of sad. It should be here today, per Amazon. But since we are in the country I expect Saturday or Monday. Couldn’t resist so I got shoes so I can pitch my broken Birkies! Earlier I got me a 4-1 tool from Harbor Freight. It will jump start a vehicle, pump air, has a light and a USB port. Just missing the kitchen sink lol. Got that charged and put in a bay. Need to pass on the old one that the battery jump start no longer works. Will need to find a home for my old printer. It won’t do wireless anymore. Well it is pretty old.

Take care if you are on the road. Have fun wherever you are!

Good morning
Took a drive in the motorhome yesterday, needed gas and prooane so did that and of course exercised the generator at the same time. Still waiting and hoping for a good rain storm, maybe tonight.

Wow Birdie stacking hay!!! That is a hot job! Where do you get your energy? I want your secret!
Congratulation Tina do you all get a break now from the show ring for awhile? Seems like it's time for you to be wandering down the road.
Not much going on here, girls are coming to clean and sort through a kitchen cabinet that has too much stuff in it that is out dated. Shelf is collapsing and hoping they can get the little holders back in place. Whoever thought up the idea of those tiny plastic things that hold up shelves in kitchen cabinets was not very clever.
Hope the rain comes to all in need! I'd like some to cool things off.
Do at least one fun thing today and be safe.

BJ I have thought that a trip to lake near you would be a fine short trip out. And I have never actually been there when the weather was cooperating for kayaks.

Whew, back online! My old phone died and had to wait for the new one to arrive and get set up... never really realized how much I use technology on a day to day basis.

Heading off to get a couple of new tires this morning. Hope my vehicle starts as my son had to use the emergency start when he brought it over from the storage lot. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Battery is three years old, so if I have to will get one of those as well. More money, but I don't want tire problems and to be stuck somewhere when even the emergency start will not start this thing. So got to unhook and drive, but the good news is that I am almost done with this semester. It looks like I will have a small class for the summer, which will be very nice!

Also, I was so involved with planning my uK trip, I stupidly had planned to stay at a couple of first-come, first-served campgrounds on the way to Yellowstone to see my Ohio son and then on to Washington. Decided that late June and early July was NOT the time to just drop into a campground, so I have been busy making some late reservations. No reservations is good in fall and spring, but not now.

Sounds like several of you are getting ready for summer travels, which is great. I'll be in Washington and Oregon for the summer, so if anyone is going there, maybe we can get together.

HI all,
Sandi, you were right... I've fulfilled my jury duty by calling in each day. No need to report or call in again until the next time. That made things a little easier getting Olivia up, dressed & to preschool this morning. Enjoyed being the stand-in for Donuts for Dad.
Not much else going on here - just need to clean up my place this weekend. Wish they would get the roots out of my patio area so I could do something with there- but it all takes time & while the HOA is fast to move on things, the person who manages this sort of thing must be out of town since I haven't heard from her in a while. The tree is down & my plants are loving the extra sunshine. I'll miss the shade later in the summer but I only get direct sun for a few hours midday so it could be worse.
Well, I'm supposed to be working... :o so I'd better get back to it
Stay safe out there...

Hi gals!

Been working on de-fleaing my house today. Cats are locked out on to the porch for the day until the flea spray dries inside. I already de-flead the porch a few days ago. I have been combing fleas off the cats yet but most of them are dead or close to it. The Advantage is working!
Still getting bites on me when I am sleeping so there must still be some in my room. Need to re-treat that and wash bedding again. Not very many jumping into the bowl of water in there anymore tho. I also suspect I may have picked up some chiggers from MN while walking around my dad's yard in the tall grass. Have bites around my sock, panty and bra lines. That is typical of chiggers.

Off to work here. We had Corporate come in yesterday to inspect and observe. Of course, they chose to observe me doing a haircut so I had to make sure I was doing and saying all the right Great Clips stuff. Of course, I had the customer from Hell so that didn't help much. Will find out today how I did on that.

Have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Keep us in mind :) They are doing a lot of construction around the lake, the entrance to the campground has been moved about a mile south and is not clearly marked. The new road in has a very wide sidewalk running the length of it. I can't imagine the expense or the reason. Marinas are in the works but so far no work on the campground it will be interesting to see what else they do.
