And the sun is shining again. Our predicted rain pretty much went north. Just had a shower for a bit. Enough to wet the drive and ground but not really soak in. We need a nice gentle all day or all night rain. Forecast says scattered on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday morning. Naturally. I will be getting ready and heading out for a couple days of camping

Enjoyed reading the posts from past couple days. Everybody busy with different things. Laura, glad the elbow is healing good. Barbie, I roo agree, your daughter looks just like you. Velda, have fun with your friend. Glad Mel is stable at moment. Beth, have a safe trip to ND. Peacheswill be with you in spirit. Tina, I feel same way about carrying stuff in the rig. One doesn’t need a lot as there are stores everywhere. Birdie, hope you got the grass mowed before rains come. That’s on my agenda this morning. Mow my backyard and the entrance to our sub. Need to do a little weed whipping out there too. Then have things to put in the trailer. It’s all cleaned and put back together, nw to stock it for summer.

So guess I had better get a move on here. Hope you all have a nice day.

The sun is shining here too but I'd appreciate some clouds and cooler temps! Birdie, I don't think I could be out mowing!! Not a lot going on here but I had coffee with a friend yesterday who told me about her nine year old granddaughters experience with a procedure she had done. She had a small place on her ear her doctor wanted to remove but he said it would need to be done at a hospital with anesthesia. As they were admitting her they measured and weighed her to get the amount needed. When they said her height, she kept saying, that's not how tall I am. Finally they listened and remeasured to find she was a foot shorter than they wrote down! As she was being released, the doctor came in and was in such a rush looked at her and as he raced out the door said, I've called in a prescription for ampicillin. The nine year old looked at her shocked mom and said, isn't that like penicillin that I'm allergic too? Well yes, seems like everyone at the hospital had not noticed the large red allergy alert bracelet she wears all the time on her wrist!!! Makes one realize they need to be extra alert about their healthcare!! I've had experiences that has certainly made me cautious. I wish my doctor was as good as our vet, Toby is doing really well and everyday puts more weight on his leg.

Got the mowing done....no rain yet. It wasn’t to bad as there was intermittent cloud cover and a goodly breeze. Martha, I sent you an email with information on the mower, Dixie Chopper. Today I am whining about being sore. I think I am through with physical work for a while. I don’t mind mowing, but I really hate that you have to schedule it once or twice a week. They need goats for the yard!!! (That’s not happening as they would get in the garden. Good stuff out there.

Stayed in the rig and worked on paperwork. Moving my retirement deposits around. I love the online ability to change CU’s. Takes about 5 minutes to get that done with one account. Have a couple others to work on next. I may need to take a break and see if the world is still out there. May be going out for blueberry picking again tomorrow. Love fresh BBs. Remember to have fun and be safe out there.

G'afternoon Sue, BJ & Birdie:)

Thought I'd jump in with a hello. I sure haven't been a "regular" here very much at all in the past year --or more?--so trying to be better at keeping in touch with y'all.

Just puttering in the yard today, pulling a few weeds here & there. Actually, started to sprinkle on me, on this day of no rain in the forecast. Don't mind a summer rain, but cold here today--59d, still struggling to reach the expected hi of 63.

Barbie, great pic of you & daughter:)

Y'all have a great day 8-)

Very smart 9-year-old, Redetotry! I had several similar experiences with my elderly mother who had dementia. When she was in the hospital once, I told three people that she could not have a TB shot and watched them write it down. When I came back the next morning, they had given her one and her whole arm was swollen up! Good that your friend's granddaughter felt confident enough to speak up for herself. We ought to make sure ALL of our grandkids are knowledgeable and willing to do that. Some kids think they cannot argue with adults.

My son came this morning and spent two hours vacuuming my fuzzy ceiling and floors. He used a revolving head on the celing and really did a super job. Then he cleaned the cab, wiping everything off, and even helped me wipe off some of the higher cabinets to get the dust off. I still have wiping with a damp rag to get the dust of the rest of the walls, but I can do that myself since the big part of the job is done. Whew!!
