Rainy Sunday

Good morning all! I slept a bit later then normal this morning. Must be the rain! Or else it was because I spent the whole day yesterday working in the yard! I finally finished about 7 last night! Sure wish I knew why I have so many maple trees growing all over the place! I usually have some but this year I could grow a forest! They’re sprouting everywhere! I’ve talked to other people and they’re saying the same thing. So anyway, if I get my energy up I need to get some stuff done inside the house. I’ve kinda neglected the inside so I could work outside! The part for Lola came the other day so now just need to get the generator fixed and I should be good to go! Still need to dewinterize and load in the things I took out for the winter. Then, who knows!

Beth, sounds like things are starting to move right along for you. Computers working good now? Velda, so nice that you were able to honor your husband. Sue, glad you were able to customize your TT. Always nice to have more storage area! I keep seeing that some of you are able to go to some farmers markets and finally there are some around here opening. If it’s not raining on Tuesday I might be able to hit the one over in Boalsburg. That’s my favorite one around our area. Also fun to browse around that one. There’s a nice one in State College but it’s right in town so parking is always a problem.

Well, that’s about it here! Nothing exciting happening....that’s good, I guess!! Have a great day and enjoy the day!

Hi O'Sharon & everyone!

Sharon, it's been raining off and on since we left for church, we'll have a lull and then it will rain again. Right now we're in lull mode. The cloudy skies are keeping the temperatures reasonable although it's very humid. Unfortunately, we have a chance of rain everyday through next week Sunday.

Today was the next to the last Sunday that I'll play for the FL church. One week from tomorrow, we'll start heading north and spend a few nights in GA, visiting with friends there and continue our trip north, one state at a time. We're thinking we'll be in MD the middle of the following week and I'll play for the MD church that Sunday.

Baby back ribs are in the crockpot and I'll make coleslaw, French fries, and a plate of sliced tomatoes & onions. If you're in the area, please stop by as we have plenty.

Wishing all of you a wonderful Sunday. Thanks to all of you for your service to our country!

Good afternoon
Kind of a slow day here, chores are all done, so its just a tv day
For those not on facebook, i found a little dog wandering around here
in the park i live, took him in yesterday to scan for a chip,,,, YES and his
name is Buddy. However havent heard from owners yet. So Maggie says
its ok for him to hang out for awhile as she set a few boundries, firm but gentle.
He has been a good boy, gave him a bath and washed the crud off his face. Hes
probably aboug 10 of 11 and needs a bit of work on his teeth. If i end up keeping
him, that will be a priority but gotta see what the story is on his family. Posted a
bunch of flyers around the community bulletin boards asking if anyone knew him.
No phone calls. He seems happy and doesnt appear to be missing anyone. I certainly
dont want two dogs but this guy landed here for a reason, hes a senior and i'm not
turning him over to just anyone, some rescues don't adopt out wisely.

yall have a great day

Alice, that dog couldn't ask for a better home if that's the way it goes!

Finally, the store is busy. Pepsi didn't deliver... Their cooler space is near empty. I'm actually thinking of throwing them out and giving coke more space. This is ridiculous.

Today Cheryl picked me up and we went to the Spearfish Canyon Scenic Byway... I love that area and those waterfalls. Then we continued on to Belle Fourche, the geographical center of the U.S. We then drove back through Deadwood. I'm so used to being the driver up here that I wasn't the best at navigating from the passenger seat  But it all worked out.

Alice, Buddy is a cutie. He must be very special to have been directed to someone who will genuinely look out for him and make sure he’s safe and well cared for. I wonder if he has a responsible family. If not, he’s very lucky to have found you in his time of need.

Hope Buddy gets back with his family, but if not, Ava, he will be a good addition to your family.

Beth, glad you got together with Cheryl and got to go exploring the waterfalls, etc.

I got up this morning and went to the Strawberry Festival in downtown Vista. It was a lot larger than I expected. Several blocks of vendors selling things. I didn't spend much, altho I didn't have much to spend either. I did buy some strawberry shortcake and I actually threw out half of it. The strawberries were not the least bit sweet and the cake was dry and tasteless. How do you screw up strawberry shortcake??

Been going thru photos on my camera to order prints to take with me back to MN. Want to show them to my daughter.
