Come on now people, let’s get caught up! Morning low clouds with little afternoon sun continues here in left coast city!

Oh Karen, sorry about the elbow! My friend had the same thing happen to her. She kept telling me how painful it was! At work, I got to be her “right hand man”.

Barbie, your sore shoulders sound painful too! You are right. Getting old is not for sissies.

Ermine, what’s the word on your condition.? Or, is Florida floating off the map?

And, Beth, What can I say about Peaches. It is so sad when our fur babies get old.

Catherine, your HOA sounds like it is doing right for you. Hope it continues.

Cheryl, think of you often. Sounds like you are enjoying yourself with the “full timing”. Do you read Intersteller Orchard.? She talks today about the mind set of a full timer.

My new GGD is named Stella Ray. Does anyone here remember the song “Stella By Starlight”? I would love to get the sheet music to it if I could. Any suggestions?

Sue, you continue to amaze me!

Lyn

It's afternoon here on the right coast and we are seeing sunshine, for possibly the first full day in over 10 days. But the rain will come back possibly tomorrow evening and it is supposed to rain everyday through at least next week Wednesday. We're taking advantage of the sunshine and sitting out in our yard. I have an appt. the Tuesday after Memorial weekend to see a cardiologist and the Friday after that, I have an appointment in Lakeland to see the dentist that did my implants. The following Monday we'll start heading north to our home in MD.

Lyn, you might find the chords for Stella by Starlight online. Check this out and there are others to choose from:

Mornin' Lyn, Irmi & all that follow~~~

Lyn, you were posting at the same time I was, so I just deleted mine. Congrats on welcoming little Stella to the family. Hope everyone is well, except for maybe lack of sleep :D

Today is my last day at Devil's Tower, then on to Custer SD tomorrow. I'll get into Custer SP on Memorial Day, which will be a long move of 6 1/2 miles or 12 minutes. Don't care. I wanted to be in a Custer SP.

Hopeful to see Beth again, depending on her schedule & lunch with Pat as I high tail it back to IL to deal with Ma, dentist, doctor, you know, the usual.

Well that's all folks, as Bugs says. Have a good day kadies.

Well, the prednisone finally kicked in and kept me awake all night. I finally fell asleep around 6am and woke up at 10am. I am going to try to get a little more sleep in here before I have to get ready for work at 2. At least the pain is under control now.

Lyn, I hadn't heard about your new GGD but congrats! Stella is a pretty name. I like the old fashioned names. I named my daughter Naomi Victoria Rose. Can't wait to see her in a couple weeks!

Hope you all have a great day! :D

It's good afternoon for me! I slept late and started slow today, because there was too much excitement here last night. Last night, a bat just flew around in my house. That got my heart rate up! Drew's too.

I chased it out with clever strategems and a Swiffer. Couldn't find my broom!

It was in the front of the house -- so I scurried around and turned the living room lights off, all the other lights on, and propped the front door open. Waved the Swiffer around and screamed a lot.

It took some time for it to find the door, but it was very glad to go once it did. And I was glad it was gone! :D

Sue, left Islay today. You are at 45th, but Islay is at 55th parallel. This means sunrise st 5 am and sunset at 9:50 pm!

Lots of sun in summer but very dark in winter! Can’t imagine how depressing winter must be. I woke up at 5 this morning as I often do in middle of night, but it was bright sunshine. Weird. Moderate weather and no snow because of Gulf Stream.

Sounds like an exciting night, Louise. Bat was probably thrilled to get outside.

Well it’s not morning anymore and it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything. It’s been a strange spring in southeastern SD. I didn’t think it would ever get here and it hardly lasted. May has brought lots of rain. Today it’s 85 with high humidity and storm warnings and the rest of the week will be in the 90s. DH is way behind on planting because the fields are so wet, therefore we will not be attending the annual Memorial Day campout. Miss Hurricane Haddie is walking and celebrated her first birthday. Bronc went to preschool screening and thought that meant that he would be going to school the next day! Pretty disappointed little boy when he found out it wasn’t until next fall. I’ve been busy trying to spring stuff accomplished. This morning I finished planting my pots. We have to have our patio and driveway concrete redone so I did cut back on planting this year. I’ve been dog sitting for Missy’s Boxer while she is at the greenhouse.
I’ve been reading the forum most days and please know that I am thinking about all of you and the problems some of you are facing. I’m going to cut this short. Have a good day and safe travels to those of you on the road
