Friday Again

Good Morning. Today should be the last day for my "readers" on my team at work. I am hoping that they get sent on home early as soon as they run out of responses to score. If so I am planning to leave earlier soon after, if allowed, and come back on Monday to finish up my evaluations and paper work. The drive to the fairgrounds in Marietta takes me about 4 hours and I would rather arrive before it is dark if I get a choice. The rig is turned around in the driveway, loaded and ready. It just needs a dog to be freshly bathed and the rest of us to come aboard and head down the road.

Thought I would mention Nick Russell's, Gypsy Journal, blog posts from yesterday and today for those of you that might not read them. He mentioned the rise of "Life Coaches" for RVing and RVers.....and the prices and services that they offer to folks. I guess several have contacted him and wanted him to mention their services on his blog. It makes the value of this forum rise considerably not to mention that some individuals, Melissa :) , could go out on their own with the proper marketing.

Make it a wonderful day!

Thanks for your post.

Do you have a direct link to this article? I found the GypsyJournal website, but the only article I could find regarding "Life Coaches" was pretty general, and did not quote prices and services provided.

Not that I am looking to be a "Life Coach" (I'm not) but just wondering what it is all about.

Thanks.

Anne

I laugh at the term "life coach" these days. As to Nick's blog, the only place I saw him mention prices was in today's post where he said this:
"After reading yesterday’s blog about life coaches, one reader wrote to ask what these people expect to gain by it and if they are they hoping to make money from RVers who are new to the lifestyle and will pay life coaches to advise them for a fee. Yes, that’s what they are looking for, RVers to pay them for advice on everything from buying an RV to where to go and what to do when they get one. One “life coach” who sent me her press release and wanted me to post in the blog charges $500 a month"

$500 a month!?!?! For that kind of money I'd rather have someone clean my house and do some laundry!

But all that info is right there on the internet for free in various groups, even this one! Why would someone pay $500. Am i missing something in this concept?

I don’t think so. Probably just the people who don’t want to spend the time looking and reading, asking questions etc. are :D

Fear, I think. Fear of the unknown. Easier to have someone else to think for them, than to think for themselves.

$500/mo??? Whew  . Nice work, if you can get it.

LOL. When I first read the term "life coach" what first came to mind was a mental image of a full-timer travelling in their "coach". For life. Or a life's dream. Or something. Definitely not someone with their hand out, looking for cash.

Dopey me.

I suppose someone who is looking for a $200K rig wouldn't mind spending $500 to have someone "coach" them on what to get, etc.
