Morning everyone, hope you all have weathered the storm. We ended up with about a foot of snow here in central WI, about 16 in. at my daughters in Chaska, MN. Is winter ever going to stop! Trip is now postponed until next week. Hope Utah will be more spring like and warm. On way home from Utah, I will be stopping over in NE to visit area where my mother grew up. I have not been there for many years, still have a couple cousins that I will visit, as well as do a little genealogy. Hope the weather cooperates, I am a little gun shy at this point!
Safe travels all- enjoy the day.

Well we have the sun shine and blue skies but the temperature is only 34 but that's enough that the trees and streets are starting to lose the layer of ice. But we're suppose to get hit with another 5-8" of snow on Wednesday. I don't think this winter is ever going to end. It's been really rough on the ranchers and farmers. Last night we went to a benefit for a local man who has cancer. I was surprised at the huge turn out because the roads were still pretty dicey. It was supposed to be Saturday and they had postponed it because of a statewide no travel advisory. Al and Dennis worked overtime yesterday to get all the snow removed around the hall so there a place to park.

Not much else new. Envious of those of you that are experiencing nice weather. Adding some pictures of the grands. Haddie started walking this week...that's trouble!

Bronc was helping dad give newborn calves vaccines. Train them young!

While Miss Princess Haddie vegged out with her bottle in the warm house!

Have a nice day everyone!

Bronc doesn't know it yet but he has many years of working cattle ahead of him. Giving shots was my job. I haven't shared that information with the guy that has cattle here now. When they are working cattle I think of something I need in town.

We have a nice sunny day but a little cool. It's suppose to be in the 80's tomorrow. I went to Lafayette yesterday but ran out of steam and didn't go to Walmart. Don't know if I'll make it today either.

Good afternoon from snowy messy northern Michigan. Day 4 of this winter storm here. This is getting weary. I won’t even guess how much snow we have, but in excess of a foot here, some places have had over 3 feet. Everybody’s getting tired of it especially since it has pretty much snowed everybody in or if not, roads are so bad, nobody’s going out. I’m sure nobody’s more tired of this than the road crews fighting to keep up with it. It started raining late Friday, changed to snow, then became a mix of sleet and freezing rain and a wet snow again today. The combination of wet surfaces followed by heavy snow and then the mix has packed this stuff rock solid. You can’t shovel it, can hardly blow or plow it either. Blowers are riding on top of it and those with plow trucks can only push so far and get stopped. My blower broke down on Saturday, so I’m reduced to the almighty shovel. But been pretty much just walking on top of it. My drive is as hard as concrete, so just driving my truck right over it. Packed it down some more with my truck this morning. Our road has yet to be plowed. So Pat, send that sun here please. And O’Sharon, I wanted to send this to you but mom nature has other ideas ;) Happy Belated Birthday by the way. Guess you could consider my not sending the snowvyour birthday Present!

Mickie, great to see you back again. Missed ya! Judy, maybe you should look into getting a bigger pump. Sometimes just cause they put in a certain size and it's Replaced with same size, doesn’t mean it’s the best thing. There was an article in Trailer Life about that last month.

Fur kids are going stir crazy. Driving me crazy too. Want their walk, but not gonna happen. They are having a heck of a time finding any place to potty out there too.

So, that’s the latest from here. I’ve been busy researching stuff, plus out dealing with the elements. Getting some exercise doing it too. Have a nice rest of the day all :)

I actually slept pretty good last night finally. Only woke up once with some pain, took some Advil and fell back to sleep.

Minnesota broke their April snow record already and there is more coming this week. Almost 2 feet at the Minneapolis/St Paul airport!

Cooler here today than it has been. Low 60's today but no complaints here! Sun is shining, light breeze, birds are chirping.

Still in my PJ's after 1pm here but will get up and moving around shortly. Have things to do around here.

Have a good day and those up north, be careful out cleaning up with the snow!

Started coughing right after my first post and heard and felt a "pop" along the same rib that was injured last week. Followed by severe pain. I ended up going into Urgent Care to see if it was broken. After 3 hours there, found out that luckily, nothing broken but probably torn ligaments and/or cartilage. Got a prescription for the cough and told to take it easy for awhile. No argument there! Hurts to do anything now. Just need to get rid of the cough to avoid more damage.

Nothing else got done today.

Got up this morning and looked out the window - looks like there was a light freeze last night, with frost on the rooftops of my neighborhood.

This is Northern California, and this is mid-April for gosh sakes!!

In a "normal" year we usually begin to have 90 + degree temps by April 1!!

Sheesh!!
