2nd day of spring

Good chilly morning from Ocala
I'll be moving a bit further north today. Stopping to visit Liz on my way home. For the moment I'm absorbing coffee and waiting to see if sun can chase some of the cold away before I unhook.
Hard to believe my time in FL is almost over.
I will share some photos from the Hillsborough River gtg but may have to wait until I get home.

Snow here in SW Ohio. It didn't want to wait until I headed to Charlotte, NC, tomorrow. Lark is going down to meet my daughter Kate for the first time. Kate has reminded my that I am about 10 months late in bringing her. Oh, well.

As I wiped out the mouse droppings and chewed nuts from a couple of drawers in the RV, I felt lucky that I only found about three spots were one had rested up and eaten a snack. I also wanted to share my underwhelming efforts to prepare for a trip with those newbys that might think that a lot of thought, effort, scrubbing and planning have to go into trip preparation. I will check the tire pressures before I head out, but the engine turns over, generator works and the refrigerator turned back on. I will pick up enough food for a few days and be sure the dogs have theirs. I would worry about cleaning every corner but...oh, wait, I travel with multiple dogs and one rainy day and who cares. The bedding is clean, the dogs and mine. I come from a long line of wilderness tent campers and though my expectations for comfort have risen my acceptance of residual sand on the floors has remained constant. I am not ready to trust the weather to de-winterize quite yet, so I will not fill the water tank or switch back the by-pass on the water heater. I will carry some jugs of water, some pick stuff for the gray and black tanks and if I want to heat up some water, I have a microwave for that. Now to do a load of laundry and I'll be ready. Lark had her "I'm going to be so pretty" bath yesterday. I am over this wintering back in Ohio thing. I am going to play for a week or so until I have to report back into my seasonal spring work assignment on April 6th.

Have fun, Tina. And what's a few dog hairs? I'm heading just north of Phoenix today for three nights. Initially this was to be the start of my trek north for the summer. But some plans changed and I need to come back down to my winter spot for a few more days. However, I actually made a reservation (I know... Me and a reservation?) And I want to check this regional park out. So it's a nice little quick trip and I'll change my route next week.

Have fun with Liz, Sarah!

Here is my school girl on her second day of class. Mitzi says that is a dunce stool she is sitting on and the hat probably fell off :)
Happy trails to all on the road. Tina sounds as though you have the' get on the road drill' down perfect. I on the other hand can't stand anything out of place in RV, but it doesn't bother me at all in the house if things aren't in place. Hope you all have fun on the road. Sarah I think you should stay in Florida until the weather gets a lot better back home. :)
