Gmorning Friday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Gmorning Friday

Postby carolb » Fri Mar 16, 2018 6:23 am

Wishing y'all a good morning:)

I finally just caught up on reading--have missed so much, so I needed to respond to several "general talk" msgs. So now to pop in to say hello to my MC friends! Sending good thoughts to those of you having difficult times, & congrats to those of you with exciting things going on in your lives...

All is well here in FL. Had a great week with Donna! We worked on a pretty exacting yard project, but I have to say I never laughed so much in my life:) Also had 10 days visiting with Trek friends, but unfortunately never met up with Peggy!

Back at Sis's farm where she's needed my help & will need for the next 10 days. Then hopefully get ON THE ROAD! That's what I've really missed-- actually driving long distances, having hours on end to just ponder life, enjoying the changing scenery, pulling into a different rest area/WM/truck stop each night...Perhaps next winter I'll get West again:)

That's it for now...y'all have a great day, be safe always... 8-)

Morning Carolb and all. Sounds like you are having fun in FL Carol, great way to spend the winter. Now that you are finished helping Donna with yard project, come up here and we will do mine  Barb, glad you went to the doctor when you did. That’s scary. Hoping you are starting to feel better and yes, drink lots of fluids. Yep Judy, sounds kike you are getting a bit befuddled  Definitely time for that UK trip :D BJ, maybe you should have left the scale alone  i had that problem with mine too, only in my case I know I’m losing weight, now down 18 pounds since first of the year. O’Sharon, I hear ya on the weather. You folks have had more then your share of misery of late and unfortunately another storm heading that way again.

Just working on my scrapbook here and waiting for a curtain order to come in. Need to change out rods and then will be done with that stuff. Fish fry later today and couple errands plus dog walk wil take care of my day today. Thoughts and prayers for those who need them, safe travels for those on the roads and a nice dayvfor everyone.

Good morning
Good to see you post Carolb, hope you do get west next year, ill be spending the whole winter in Q.
I'm finally making done headway here for pitching and tossing. Shed is almost done. I've got two chairs ill load in the car and take to salvation army today, plus a few other items.
Have done a few things in the motorhome to help with the organization and trying to tidy up but my
energy is better spent on the shed.I can focus on the motorhome the last month in here as I prepare for the road. Hopefully that thought takes care of my stress level.
Y'all have a great day, be safe,

Hit the wrong button

Postby PeggyinCT » Fri Mar 16, 2018 8:51 am

Good morning Everybody, after nearly 10 months on the road, I have a lot of mail to sort. My health insurance plan changed and I have a new provider. I must say I was impressed when they told me I would receive a $50.00 gift certificate if I scheduled an annual physical before June. Wow, I've never had that before. Also I had to do a telephone survey for Medicare. I've never done that before either. According to them Medicare requires this survey every year. Have any of you done this?
I'm doing the " body parts " thing, you know teeth, eyes, heart, bladder, etc check ups.
Enjoy today,
Peggy

I hit the wrong button and now it wants a new subject line. Beth, will you combine this post with the others. Thanjs

Good Morning To All - We have begun our trip north heading home. We are in San Carlos now just one driving day from the Arizona border. Staying here until Monday morning because this will be a long driving day. 280 miles which in US is a breeze - here it is slow going. Lots and lots of new highway construction going on. So lots of shifting from north to south bound lanes and back again. Once behind a slow truck you are stuck there. One more Mexican check point to go through and then the US border. Then we'll stop just south of Tucson for three days then on towards home. Have to get to Vegas before 28th as RV has appointment with RV doc to get stuff fixed while still under warranty which expires 3/30. Have already talked to Jayco though and have their assurances in writing that things will be fixed even if it takes longer than the 30th.
Got really cold here last night, even I got cold and woke up. Days are warm though.
So we'll be busy when we get home. Unloading and catching up with the mail etc.
Take care if you are traveling.

Good morning. I can't sleep much so I thought I would jump on here for awhile.
My cough has moved more into my chest so am coughing up stuff now. What little energy I have is used up from coughing. It is so dry in my house which doesn't help any. I need to get a humidifier in here!

I have a follow-up doctor appointment this afternoon and then will stop at the store to pick up some cat food and more soup, etc. Then back to bed.

Emily has been a great companion. She sleeps with me most of the time (if I am not tossing too much). She is so cute and makes me laugh with her crazy little antics! I have been teaching her not to bite so hard when she plays with me. Now she knows to bite softly or just licks me. Just needs a reminder occasionally. Good girl!

Got two really nice text messages from my coworkers yesterday sending get well wishes. One was from a gal I really did not think I would ever "click" with but she seems to really like me. The other from the guy who is a total sweetheart and we have a lot of fun together at work. Nice to have such great coworkers!

I was supposed to go to a psychic/medium gathering tonight with a well-known (in Europe) medium, but obviously that won't happen. Was really looking forward to that.

Anyways, I am rambling here...have a good day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

G'morning! I went to bed knowing I'd wake to Friday, but woke up thinking it's Saturday and was disappointed that it's not LOL. Off to work shortly... Should be my last two days but picked up two partial days week after next because I'm stupid or crazy or both! Mainly because I'm not leaving for good this week and figured it's only fair.

Barbie, I'm so glad you went to the doctor. Now take care and get better!

Carolb, looking forward to hopefully setting you next winter!

I woke up all sweaty a little bit ago. You know what that means! My temp broke! Yay! :D Back to 98.6*. Now I need to go take a shower and get ready for my doctor appointment.
I know I am not out of the woods yet. Having been thru this before, i know it can yo-yo between good days and bad days for awhile. But I will take the good stuff for now!

I'm thinking there should be new questions beyond the ones the nurses ask us old folks. You know the ones: have you fallen recently, has anyone hurt you lately, are you afraid to live alone?

My new ones would be:
- Have you bought something and forgotten you bought it?
- Have you been off more than one day in remembering what day it is?
- Have you left something cooking on the stove too long in the past month?
- Have you forgotten to eat dinner lately?
- How many times in the last month have you woken up and can't remember where you were?

Maybe someone can add more. Anyway, I have one more stack of papers to grade before the end of the semester, so inside working today and tomorrow and then Desert Botanical Garden on Sunday. Luckily, finals grade themselves. And I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that I have a smaller class for Spring. So far only 36 instead of the usual 50 in a double class. (NOT teaching third class, which is what has caused most of my stress this past semester.)

It pays my bills, at least!!

lolol... I should have said that if I woke I knew it was supposed to be Friday :) That said I wondered if I dreamt my Friday to wake up sure it was Saturday.
