Good Morning, We have a sunny warm day here! March has been more clouds and rain than usual and supposed to stay that way the rest of the month with only a few of these nice days thrown in to tease us. I've been really worried because I was losing so much weight, finally it dawned on me that my scales have a battery and now I am several pounds heavier!
Not too much planned today other than dog stuff, trainer coming to see if she can give a solution to Emma playing too rough with Mitzi. Next she goes to all day training with a friend who works with mostly Standard Poodles for obedience. She teaches classes so Emma will hang out between sessions and work on socialization. I will enjoy the peace and quiet!
Hope everyone has some fun in their day.

Good morning all. Another cold, snowy day here. Just flurries and not much expected so that’s good! But I’m so ready for this to be over but next week is forecasted to be worst. Such is March in PA! Just glad I’m not further north! So needless to say, no traveling but just lots of dreaming! When we get a couple of nice days I really want to take off somewhere, then reality hits! So I’ll just enjoy everyone else’s travels!
Martha, hope you are able to have some well deserved rest. You’ve been through a lot. Barbie, are you feeling better today? Hoping so. Enjoying the reports from Hillsboro. You all are keeping busy with fun things to do! Irma, I’m with you. Inside and staying warm! Beth, glad you made contact with Melissa. I too have missed her input.
Nothing else happening around here so I need to get ready to go help son at the new house. Have a good day and travel safe.

Lark said she would like to go to school with Emma.
I am heading down to Blacksburg, VA, to a funeral of one of my close cousins. He had always modeled his mothers (my Aunt's) believe in keeping family connected. Because of his encouragement I had managed to attend several family reunions on his branch of the family. He was suppose to attend the big Oregon GTG but died the day before of a massive and very unexpected heart attack. Remember the "there are no promises" for tomorrow theme.
The next weekend I am heading down to Charlotte, NC, hopefully in the rig to let my daughter meet Lark. She has made repeated statements regarding my neglect of bring Lark down to visit. Hope she won't be disappointed. Lark is looking forward to maybe being able to camp a few day either before or after the weekend.
Having chosen to accept work contracts around expected (and now nonexistent) puppy whelping, I find myself now with some free camping weeks before April 6. So off we might have to go. I am thinking that I will find more sunny spring days south of Ohio but that is just my guess. I am inexperienced in this spring camping routine.
In the fall I purchased a slightly used Chrysler Town & Country van so that I could fit a Lark crate in along with the others. It has made going to dog shows where I don't bring the RV a dream. On the other hand I seem to keep choosing it over the Honda even for running around town. As a result of discovering that I love the improved ride over the little Honda, I am hoping that the Fit will remember how to follow the RV down the road and not hold a grudge. At over 90,000 miles I figure the Honda should have another 100,000 miles or ten years left.

Here in northern California we are expecting another rainy afternoon so I called and radiation said come early they will fit us in. Better than the original 3:30! We will head out in about 2 hours. Yesterday's heavy rain coming home was no fun but better during daylight and no commuter traffic than our original time of 3:30 so leave there at 4:30!
Barbie, if you still have a fever you should consider seeing a Dr, the nasty bugs going around are nothing to fool with.
Keeping Martha in my thoughts.....
Stay safe all of you whether on the road or scooping white stuff.

Woke up worse this morning so off to the doctor. I almost passed out while I was checking in so they sounded the alarm and I was whisked away in a wheelchair and had an IV put in right away for fluids and all sorts of tests run (EKG, blood, urinalysis,) and a chest x-ray. They had to poke me several times for the IV and to draw blood because they couldn't get into a vein. So I have little owies all over my arms. Was there about 3 hours. No pneumonia but definitely that bad flu that is going around, plus a UTI, and very dehydrated. Luckily, most of the test results came back good. I was pretty impressed with how I was treated today (Kaiser). Was sent home with Tamiflu and an antibiotic. Very tired now after all that excitement! Luckily I have insurance so most of it is covered. I am off work now until Tuesday.

Sounds scary, Barbie, so good thing you went to doctor. I thought you were going to say they were keeping you overnight. Do you have anyone who can take care of cats if you ever end up in a hospital? That is always a concern with living alone with pets.
I am worn out and behind in grading papers, so i have not been on the forum lately. Sorry to have missed posting for birthdays and such. I went out today and did 20 days of laundry!! I had to wash out underwear last week, but I counted t-shirts and then checked my financial records where I record expenses, and confirmed it was 20 days. To show you how nuts I have been, I went out to try to get some thinner cotton pants and bought an identical pair of capris and an identical t-shirt to one I already have!!
I am headed to the UK for a few weeks at the end of April and know from past experiences there that I will probably be washing things out in the bathroom sink, so I need stuff that will dry easily. I got two other pairs of pants, but I think I will return one, plus the two duplicates I got. That should save me some money. I'd prefer to wear my usual shorts there, but it is going to be chilly and probably rainy, plus I will be in cities about half the time. Luckily, I have an excellent long rain jacket with a hood I bought the last time I went to the UK. And no, I did not get an invitation to the wedding.

Oh Darn..no invitation to the wedding! With all the crowds and TV you are probably glad. I would be. I really do not like great crowds anymore.
Our weather is slightly cloudy this AM. Cold too! Went out without my extra layer this morning and it was cold!
March madness has arrived!!! I have my bedroom TV on the stations that will show the women's games today. Valerie is here working on her book and that would drive her crazy!
I finished a book about the Underground Railroad. Didn't realize there were actually railroads built underneath the ground. Just thought it was an "expression".
Our RED BUDS are just beginning to get little blooms. Love those trees.
Our library is going to stop giving fines for over due books. Someone wrote to the paper, what happened to personal responsibility? I tend to agree.
Still enjoying all the "trailer talk". Good to see Melissa post again. Missed you.
California government has hired an illegal to work in the government. We are a crazy state. Nurses union want to have universal health care at a cost of 4 billion $....noone knows how to pay for it.
Saw a dog walk by with a ST Pats Day hat on! Cute.
