Raining Monday

Good morning
Yesterday turned out to be a good day for slowly traveling. Other than one little shower the rain missed me. Got tanks dumped on way into campground, went smoothly. My site is spaceous and proved to be an easy left side back in. Still surprises me when I get it right on first try.
Been raining here since about 6 AM but forecast says it should quit by noon. I have only a very short drive along county roads today so expect to wait out most of the rin.
Much cooler today. Wishing I had taken shower last night as FL bath houses usually do not have any heat.
Looking forward to the start of Hillsborough gtg later today.

Good morning
I know I've been at a loss for words lately, but hope y'all have a great time at the Hillsborough gtg.
The clutter in here is starting to get to me, will do something about that today. I need a little fairy to just come in and get all my chores done so I can focus on other things.
The sun is shining bright today and things are drying from our little rain.
Will get busy now, y'all have a great day and be safe.

6 more days (including today)! Yay

Mourning Doves are making nests everywhere. One friend in Tucson discovered them building a nest on her slide, under the topper. I just discovered a pair building on the ladder on the back of my neighbors rig. Mating season is upon them!

So far I've not planned any different stops on my route birth. That can change... It'll all depend on the weather.

Currently waiting at the Portland, OR, airport for my flight back towards Cincinnati. Had a wonderful visit and now have connected to those cousins and extended family spread out over Oregon and the Phoenix area. If was fun watching the second generation cousins sharing history and making new memories. My cousins and I were the elder statesman but then the woman of honor was the Aunt celebration her 100th birthday so none of us had to feel too elderly. Elaine is legally blind but still lives by herself, walks with a can and has a ferocious memory and sharp mind. Too bad I can’t claim to be connected by blood. Now with the cousins I can see familiar strengths and talents to claim kinship with...... :)

Benji and I are all discombobulated by the time change! He slept longer than usual, my coffee was late, our walk was late and I haven't even eaten yet!
Wish we would stay on one or the other all year. AZ does! Smart folks. lyn

It' was remarkably clear blue skies here this morning and a hint of warm in air, but rain expected tomorrow. I have been to Curves and am drinking my water and will get Mel up before 2 to head for his first treatment at radiation. Except Curves on Wednesday and Friday, this weeks days will be remarkably similar except leaving time. Praying he has he strength to get through this.
Safe travels for all of you on the road.

Ava, if you find that fairy, send her my way!

Felt crappy this morning but headed to work. Found a coworker to come in early so I could leave an hour early today. I have no energy, sore throat, coughing, runny nose, chills, body aches, etc. Good thing I left when I did 'cause as soon as I got in the door at home, I was hit with horrible abdominal cramps and ended up in the bathroom for quite awhile. Have a slight fever too. Now am resting in bed with cough syrup, Pepto, and the kitten laying next to me. Luckily, I have the next two days off so hopefully I can get over this by Thursday. I will keep taking the zicam and hope it works well!

Not planning to get much done around here feeling this way, so more painting will have to wait now.

Back to napping...it is National Napping Day today, so that is good!

Sheila, I think that is for comfort. Supposed to reduce his pain.

Sheila, Mel is having what is termed palliative radiation, a low dose short course, aimed at reducing the most painful tumors to aid pain control. It was recommended we ask about it by our Hospice nurse. She arranges any treatment that helps ease pain and difficulties of a hospice patient. Other treatments he will have include stretching his throat which has radiation damage so he can continue to swallow medications and eat and drink and shaving of a tumor behind his left ear as due to tumors on his back and chest tube on right, he left side site only way he can sleep and a skin tumor is growing behind his left ear. In the case of his throat, it's been arranged that he will sign off hospice for the day, have the throat stretched, then be signed right back onto hospice. The case managers say that's the solution they came up with to provide most benefit to hospice patients. This radiation is 5 treatments and the radiation Dr said after initial flare of inflammation, the tumors she is targeting should get smaller and less painful as his chest and rib tumors with spontaneous breaking of ribs has been the most painful part of the cancers spread.
Tomorrows trip will likely be in rain predicted to last most of day.
My heart this night goes out to Martha.
