Good Morning. Not only is it Rabbits Day, it’s also the 1st official Day of the Meteorological Spring as the weather people call it. Sun is higher in the smy and days getting warmer slow but sure. Good psychological boost.

Diane (DogMom3), there are two “Houghton’s”in MI. The City of Houghton you are going to in the U.P. And Houghton Lake, the largest inland lake in the state, which is in north central lower peninsula and the town which bears it’s name.

Off on an online curtain hunt. Have a great day all :)

Good morning everyone!

Steve reminded me that it is Rabbits day, so I got my rabbits in.

We've been keeping busy almost everyday, between kayaking or taking road trips. Our stay in FL is more than half over, but it is still very chilly in MD, so this is a good place to be.

Have a good day everyone!

Rabbits are pretty cold this week in So. Cal. and probably staying in their snug holes because large rainstorm expected tonight & Friday. Guess March is coming in like a lion? But it's the month of daylight saving time, St. Patrick's Day and first day of spring. How can we not like it? Pooker

Gmorning all :)

Hope all you rabbit mutterers have a lucky month ;) Haven't checked in for a while but always look forward to our roll-call.

Haven't been keeping up with much reading either, but I do know that good thoughts have been needed for some of you--though I don't post, be assured that I think of those of you who need such. Have lost track of where everyone is now that two big gtgs are over.

I finished off my 3 wks of being barn help, & then just returned from a week & half to meet up with some Trek friends. Now back at sis's farm for a few days, then will get back on road--to where, I don't know.

So y'all have a great month & be safe always 8-)

Mornin' ladies ~~~
Forgot rabbits, as usual. Meeting up with my cousin today for an late lunch. Chilly here in AZ. Warm up this weekend then chilly again. Still I'll take it better than snow & ice.

Have a good month ladies. Stay safe wherever you are.

Rabbits, I cried shortly after midnight.

Yesterday I won a lottery ticket. Last night that ticket didn't have a single winning number lol. It was fun to dream for a few hours... As it's been more than a dozen years since I've had a lottery ticket to check. :)

Counting my work days on this job remaining. Including today, 9 left. I'm starting to look for new and old things to stop and see, weather permitting, on my trek north.

Good morning, chilly but sun is out. Storm coming in tonight tho so we will see how it plays out.

OMG March 11th is time for Daylight Savings Time already. I love it being lighter later but I hate adjusting myself (and the dog) to the time change. I need to step up my "inside" projects as it will soon be time to get my butt outside to begin trimming and planting.

Getting the Motorhome dewinterized April 3rd. YIPPEE almost time for camping.

I dont know if I remembered RABBITS or not LOL I might have spoken to the dog first but not sure as I did say Rabbits so hopefully it was before.

Doing my Rabbits check in and yes, I remembered.

Looks like it is going to be another beautiful sunny but hot day in FL. More normal temps expected to return by weekend. Home town is still dealing with more rain and flooding.

Just discovered I posted my Wed. photo on the Tues morning thread by mistake. Does anyone know how to make images smaller using the new Photo software on Apple devices? I know how to crop but that does not solve the problem. From what I can tell when Apple made the change from iPhoto to Photo they eliminated the ability to size pictures. Doesn't make sense so I assume I must be missing some simple trick.

I remembered rabbits sometime after midnight. It's definitely Spring where I am. Dogwoods and azaleas and other flowers are blooming all over the village. It looks just about how it looked when I first came here in March a year ago and fell in love with the place. I've been working in the yard on perennial flower beds which I hope will mostly take care of themselves once established. I keep very busy with activities here....some volunteering, lots of kayaking, hiking, and horseback riding before it gets too hot to want to. Tonight I'm going to another artist series performance in nearby Madison.... Olate Dogs (Winners of Series 7 of "America's Got Talent") Pet tricks using poodle-mix rescue dogs...should be entertaining. It was a tough choice because another show, Bobby Horton presents "The Long Steel Rail in America" is going on at the same time in Dowling Park. I was looking forward to that too, but the dogs won out, lol.

My daughter and family are coming to visit Saturday and we will attend a Mystery Dinner Theatre, "Who's Cookin'?" here in the village.

The Suwannee River is up and the village pontoon boat is back in the water and giving free rides for residents and guests starting next week. Hopefully some of you planning on visiting on your way north can take advantage.

I have one week-long RV trip planned for April, then we'll see.

Ok tried to post and lost the whole thing...I'm good, Chewy's good and we're Camping with Evie (Pooker) Mon and Tuesday. Forgot to say rabbits...as usual. Leaving here end of March until end of May...good to see old friends posting.

I am so good at reminding everyone to say "rabbits" but not so good at remembering to say it myself. I think I talked to Emmy after midnight and then again this morning before I remembered. Oh well. I did say it, so maybe better late than not at all?

I need to step up my "inside" projects as it will soon be time to get my butt outside to begin trimming and planting.

me too!

Liz, sounds like you are totally loving your new place! Sounds like it has so much to offer and keeping you very busy! Hope you are making some good friends there too. You sound very happy there!

Emmy is next to me chasing her tail! Such a goofus but so sweet! She is going in tomorrow morning for her free kitten checkup. I also want the vet to look at her chin. It looks red and a little swollen. Being a kitten, she runs into things and falls off things, so maybe she bumped it hard and bruised it. Will see what the vet thinks.

I got a lot done yesterday. I rearranged some of my furniture moving the recliner into the living room and a love seat into the den. I like it better this way. After putting up the valances in the living room and dining room, there was a space between the two windows that needed something on the wall. There was a picture I saw awhile back at WM that I thought was so adorable but didn't know where I would hang it so I didn't ever buy it. Last night I was thinking it would probably look good on that wall so I went to WM to get it. They were sold out so I went to another one and they had two left and were half price so I bought one. I hung it up and it looks perfect! Really pulls all the colors in there together so nice! I love it!

Good Afternoon !! Checking in not sure when I was on last. Have tried to keep up with everyone, I'm sure I've missed some news though. I hated to read of your news Velda!!! My experience, only a month, with Hospice was a Blessing. Living isolated as we were it was so nice to have such caring and kind ladies . Keeping you all in my prayers and hoping you have a great group out there.

I've been pretty busy here, meeting nieghbors who have been so very helpful, and unpacking which may go on forever :D My riding mower is "old" , called a lady who'd stopped by to introduce herself a couple weeks ago to see if she knew of some lawn mower repair who was mobile( doubt would fit in RV ) she contacted another nieghbor who seems to be handy with many things and has my mower running good. He is down for one reason or other every day so far :? This morning he was down and fixed my garage door that was missing a part that now on, makes it so much easier for me to open it. He stays and visits for awhile each time, go ahead have fun ladies but he has interesting stories and what else do I have to do( empty boxes?) :D Mr P likes him and always manages to find his way into his lap. I mowed some of this huge yard yesterday and hated to come in , but was near darkish time. Didn't realize I really had missed mowing, of course riding mower it's not a big job, to me.

Couple days ago noticed a big bush out nearer the road is a rose colored Azalea bush, it's been neglected but loaded with buds and a few blooms I noticed this morning. It's got dead branches in it and moss on top so need to get out and clean what I can to help it look better this year, then will prune and shape up when time, for next years blooming. I was soooo pleased when I discovered it and my color too!!

Time to get moving again, Mr P loves all of my break times, long or short :D I'm still waiting for rain here to put my ant bait out, have had it about two weeks and rain had been predicted but we never got a drop. I may have to take hose to hills close to house and bait them, tired of waiting!! Little booger here isn't to smart about ants and I have to watch close that he doesn't try to investigate one of these big hills.

Got to shut up here, enjoy each day ladies but please stay safe in doing so !!

Good Afternoon! I'm back in the Orlando area until the 13th. Dinner with 1st cousin once removed last night. His wife in Kansas saw my moving day post of FB and texted him. He was in town on business. Today I drove up to Bushnell to visit with Peggy and her friend Beverly. CArol, tried to call you because I doubt you are far from there, but they leave tomorrow. So, I've had a couple of good drives in the Sling.

Have many chores to do. For some reason, my portable washing machine got to FedEx in Jacksonville and wasn't sent out for delivery. Amazon has reordered. Don't they know I need to do laundry? :)

I woke during the night and said, 'Rabbits'. However, I'm not sure I didn't talk to myself after midnight before I fell asleep!

Always keeping those who are struggling in my thoughts and prayers.

Enjoy March - especially those in the north who may see signs of Spring!
