Last Saturday of February

Morning everyone. February is moving right along and winter is heading downhill. I see the seasonal battle already starting with the severe weather beginning to appear down south and our weather yo yoing all over the board.

Velda, I’m so sorry to hear the news on Mel. Cherish the time you have left and I know that hospice will be wonderful for him. They were for my mother when she was terminal with cancer. They took a tremendous load off our shoulders. Martha, it’s hard to determine what Hospice is doing with other patients when you see them. Everybody’s case is different, but as the others have said, they can take some of the stress and worry off you.

Nothing new here, same old. Errands this morning and stop at Farmers Market for eggs. Keep warm, safe, dry, whatever and prayers to those with health issues or loved ones with them.

Good Morning to All. We are still in Mazatlan, MX - the weather remains cooler than usual. Has been in mid to high 70's most of the winter, usually it is 80 to 85. In fact down right cool in the evenings.
We were thinking about heading towards home, Las Vegas, the end of next week. But found out it was SNOWING there yesterday. We might still leave here but take out time going slowly home. Stopping at a lot of little towns that we have bypassed for several years.
Had a lot of work done on the RV this year. Mostly changing its looks. This week Bill had a mural painted on the hood of the RV. It now matches the jeep. What can I say, he/we are weird. Here is a link to the blog showing the painting. http://travelinginrvandlivinginlasvegas.blogspot.mx/
Today the auto body painter comes to polish the mural and it will be done.
We've been keeping busy as usual. And I try to write something about our days every day.
Hope every one has enjoyed their winter and looking forward to spring and summer travels.

Carol, it would sure be hard not to notice your RV. Men and their toys!

I have lost count on how many times CC has been out and back in. Guess he can't find anyone to play with. I hope I remember to get some flea treatments. They are all starting to scratch, especially the outside cats.

My best friend is back in town for the weekend so I will meet up with her later today. I was just thinking yesterday how much I miss our shopping trips.

It sure looks like it could rain but the radar shows the rain still in Texas. We are suppose to get some storms starting tonight. Hope we don't get the flooding that Arkansas is getting.

Martha

Good morning
Not much going on with me, just continue to do what needs to be done. I try to stay off the internet lately just because I have things to do.
Y'all have a great day and be safe.

You know, I have always wondered about this. What is the attraction of painting grinning human skulls on one's vehicle? Perhaps I am a bit superstitious - but I am also curious.

Thanks.

Carol, I love it. It wouldn't be my choice for design. But love it on your rig. :)

There's a gtg this afternoon to welcome/meet all of us new leaseholders from 2017. It's one reason I made sure to come this week. Plus my friends Jill and Tom are here and I wanted to make sure to see them. They are making major changes in their lives and will be selling their lot. I'm sad for me. But very happy for them.

After I gave up on finding my little cold mist humidifier, I had a thought yesterday... I'd already looked in this location, but looked again. It's a small nook and I would have sworn too small for this to be behind what was in the front part. Wrong! So the larger warm mist one is packed away in my storage here and the small one is inside ready to travel. I'm happy.

I've tested my new hot water tank on gas and on electric. Both working like a charm.

Good afternoon.
Still enjoying the great weather in FL tho it is a bit too hot by afternoon the nights are cool. Storms at home this weekend.
Went with Sandy yesterday to drop her motor home off at Camping World in Winter Haven. It is an unusually small store and I still managed to spend money. Got a string of solar lights and a 50 to 30 amp plug. Been wanting the solar lights for a while so very happy to have found them. Not sure I'll ever need the plug but several have recommended that I have one for just in case.

I got a 50-30 amp plug about two years ago, and have never used again until last Wednesday. Arrived at McDowell Regional Park around 5 pm and it was really, really cold and windy. I tried to plug in my regular 30 amp and could not get it to work--did everything I could think of. I was REALLY happy to be able to pull out the 50 - 30 and use the 50 amp connection at my campsite!!

If I had not had it, I would have had to unhook my water hose and drive back to the camp host to try to get some help. Or I might have had to do without power overnight, and last night was really cold and I appreciated having my little electric heater to fill in the cold spots my furnace left.

So, you may not use it very often, but when you need something like that, you really need it.
