Wake Up Sleepyheads, Saturday

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Wake Up Sleepyheads, Saturday

OK... All you browsers this morning and no one opened morning coffee.

Headed to work then 9 days off. I'm expecting to be a bum this week, but, hey, somewhere might call my name... Maybe another Portillo's run lol But I've promised myself to curb spending.... However that can't interfere with fun and living.

Going to see if I can get a load of laundry started while still working... Then transfer to a dryer at the end of my shift. Need to do sheets, but might do that load tomorrow.

Happy Saturday, everyone.

Hi Beth & everyone!

Beth, enjoy the time off from work. I'm sure you'll find lots of things to keep you occupied.

We will get into the low 80's again today and tomorrow and other than Christmas Day, which will be in the 60's, the rest of the week will be in the 70's. But that's still better than at our home in MD.

I spent a portion of the morning in church practicing for tomorrow morning's service. The fulltime organist will play for the Christmas Eve evening service. While I was practicing, Steve did our grocery shopping . We're going to fix the main course for Christmas Day dinner to share with our neighbors in the campground. She is recuperating from treatments for brain cancer and although she doesn't always feel good, her attitude is always positive.

Steve has been putting lots of steps on his pedometer, especially since we're dog sitting Toby, Brenda's dog, while she is in Canada with her children. She'll be back in a little over two weeks.

Have a good day everyone!

Good morning
I've been busy all morning. Got some cabinets emptied, ones that have been packed since I bought this thing. Unnecessary stuff I couldn't let go back then but easy enough to do now. I filled one of my propane tanks on the fifthwheel yesterday. Makes it a whole lot warmer to get up and start moving in the morning. That's the only time I really need the furnace. The propane guy said he wasn't suppose to fill my tank as it was outdated and needed to be recertified. The stamped date is 1999. But he filled it out of courtesy. Will have to call Arizona propane and check into that.
Got the laundry done except towels. Maybe get those done today.
Need to go get a set of flannel sheets but I don't want to get in that last minute shopping mess. It will have to wait until after Christmas. Not a bad thing, will probably find a good sale.
Off to get dressed. Y'all have a good day, be safe, be warm.

Good Morning, Slept till 6:30 this morning. Couldn't believe the time when I first looked at the clock. Benji is always a late sleeper, Some times I can get the entire paper read before he gets up!
Continues cold here, but clear with no rain in sight.

I bought my lottery ticket yesterday. I buy one a year. You never know?!?!?!?!

I am way behind one my washing of the clothes. Maybe later today.

Glad to hear Steve is walking, Irmi. It is always good to see you post.

Morning all! Merry Christmas Eve Eve! Mel made it through first dose of new chemo Thursday. He is tired and dizzy but otherwise ok. I wore myself out yesterday doing about double my usual steps on Fitbit. And had my 1000th workout at Curves! The three of us will have a quiet but nice Christmas. Plan simple suppers to keep it easy. Have a wonderful Christmas everyone. And thank you all for your friendship and support.

I signed up for Christmas dinner  I'll need to take a hot vegetable dish for 12... It's going to be very basic. Peaches and I walked to the local IGA and I got everything. I'd rather take off tomorrow for the week, but promised myself I'd stay home and save money. Next trip Q which seems so far away... Then the Gilbert Ray gtg... Then probably another visit to the casita. Hopefully there'll be good food Monday, and while my veggies will be basic, I'll be good with them for leftovers. And before I know it, I'll be headed north again. So time to quit my griping! :D

Made it to Las Vegas after three days of driving--one long day and two shorter ones. There was a LOT of traffic on I-15 headed to Las Vegas--got to be a real traffic jam with a couple of accidents. And two rest areas were closed, so I am happy to be here and settled into Valley of Fire State Park. I was planning on heading to a no-hookup site in Boulder, along Lake Mead, but my water pump is not working and while I can do without electric, I really need water. So, went a bit farther, and here I am. Going to relax for next couple of days and then fly to Ohio until New Years Day to see those grandkids.

Oh, and I defrosted and cleaned out my freezer just now. Whew!

Good evening!

A little quieter at work today. Probably a lot of people already traveling to their Christmas destinations. Cloudy and cool today. Sun came out finally late in the day.

After work, I put some insulation strips around the porch doors to fill in some gaps, and redid the screens for the living room and dining room, and put them back up.

That's about it for today... have a good night!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
