Good Morning. Just saying a quick hi before heading off to mass and whatever else the day brings. Won’t be dealing with snow as we are having a break for a couple days And I will be posting pictures soon as I figure out how to do that via my IPad. On my computer I use Mitch’s RV Net link, but have to figure out how to do that or something on this pad as I use it as well as camera to take pictures.

Beth, so glad to hear that the animals seem to have survived the fire at Custer and hoping the burros weren’t seriously hurt and will recover. It would seem the prarie dogs would be okay underground if the fire was moving fast u less they got suffocated from the heat. They can burrow quite far and usually have more than one hole. Poor babies.

I, too, am happy to read the latest reports from Beth regarding Custer's and hope things continue on a positive note.

We'll be leaving soon to go to church and as Steve said, going to "show and tell", as we didn't go last week, as we were both recuperating and now can show everyone we're fine. Last night, Brenda took us to see more Christmas lights. She always finds the neatest places to go and do things. This afternoon, we'll have an early dinner, as a bunch of us from the campground will be going to The Villages to see more Christmas lights. The temperatures are finally starting to warm up and as of tomorrow, we'll be in the 80's.

Sue, I put that rv net link for pictures on my notepad desktop, then the process is the same.

Woke up to wonderful rolling thunder and cracks of lightening. Wasn't long after that the clouds opened up and drenched the neighborhood. Maggie gets extra lovin during times like this cause the noise really bothers her. She runs for my lap every time, with one of her blankets nearby, I cover her up and she is content to stay there until the storm passes.
Nice visit with son yesterday. Took a load over and then we went to his storage to load the car with his stuff still there from moving. He has 4 large pieces of furniture yet that will need a truck for hauling. He wants to get them by end of month so he doesn't have to pay another month storage.
I'm just rambling now, so enough from me. Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Sue, thanks for that wonderful image of the snow - looking forward to pics. I always enjoyed shoveling snow - the world is so quiet & peaceful.
Ava, hooray for rain! I sure do miss thunder, lighting & rain.
Sheila, sorry to hear about your BIL. Alzheimer's is a terrible/cruel disease. May he & the family now find peace.

Martha, we did alot of car rides as kids. Mom & Daddy would load us all in the car & we'd drive out to the country or just thru different areas of the city. We always loved it! Unfortunately kids pretty much live in cars now-a-days - so the novelty of a ride in the country just doesn't appeal to them.
Anne, I'll have to look into some solar Christmas lights. I have mine on a timer but solar sounds even better. I really appreciate the folks who decorate their decks & windows in the complex I'm in - makes my walks with Sadie very enjoyable.

Not much news on my part. Olivia (2 1/2 years old already) continues to amaze & delight us. She's doing well with pre-school - calls her classmates 'her children'. Like everyone else, I'm trying to get ready for Christmas - just wish it wasn't as commercial as it is. Looking forward to a few days off work - hopefully I'll get some things done around here. Maybe take Sadie to the beach - we both enjoy walking for a bit & then just sitting - I watch the waves, she watches for squirrels in the cliffs behind us. It's a rough life - isn't it.

I'm so not ready for Christmas and all the shopping plans I had yesterday were derailed. Plus late in the afternoon DH went shopping and came out to find his almost brand new Subaru wouldn't start. Of course he had left his cell phone at home so he had to go into a store and ask to use their phone. He waited in a long line, then they told him to dial a bunch of numbers to get an outside line. He is somewhat dyslexic and finally to his mortification had to ask them to dial it. I almost didn't answer when I saw it was Pet Co. calling but remembered he was shopping for a dog crate. I went and rescued him and he wanted to leave the car until today to see if it 'healed' overnight! It is still dead so now we have about a 2 hour wait for Roadside Assistance. Thankfully they will call when 15 minutes out so we don't have to sit and wait. I think he might decide to take his phone with him more often, but then ....

On a brighter note, the rain has stopped and we have a lovely Christmas Party the whole neighborhood is invited to at a home right down the street so looking forward to that.

A friend stopped by yesterday and brought Emma a toy that she absolutely loves. This is from the web site where they are sold, and are probably available other places.

Good morning. It’s up to 30 right now! Compared to what it was the last several days of low temps I’ll take it!

Shelia, sorry to hear about your BIL. We had a similar experience with our mother and although I miss her I feel we made the right decision not to do any surgery or anything for her condition. With the Alzheimer’s it would have been even harder on her. It is a horrible disease. Sending healing thoughts to you and his family.

BJ, couldn’t help but jump in here about your son’s Subaru. I had that happen to me a few times to my less then year old Outback. Don’t know just what’s happening to him but after having to jumpstart it a few times the dealer finally told me they’ve had problems with the factory installed batteries not having enough juice to deal with the “phantom draws” caused by all the extra bells and whistles that are on the car. They finally put in a stronger battery and since I haven’t had any problems since, it seemed to take care of the problem. Took a couple of trips to them and they kept telling me it was at a full charge. Course it was , I drove 30 miles to the dealer so it recharged it! So maybe something for your son to look at.

I need to get my shopping done for the grands. A trip to the ATM for cash. I always said I wouldn’t do money for them but at their ages I have no idea what to get them. They seem to like getting cash and then they can get something they want or as one does, save it for when they go on vacation. It was so much easier when they were little!

Beth, love your red scooter! I’ve always wanted one! Thought it would be fun to tootle around town! Glad the animals survived the fire and hope they’ll all be okay.

Well, time to get busy. Finally got my laundry done and folded. Just need to get everything put away. Have a good day and travel safe.

I've gone to gift cards for birthdays for my grandkids, as they are getting much more picky about clothes and only the youngest two are into toys. Christmas will be clothes (taking two oldest shopping) and some clothes and puzzles for the younger ones. It is certainly gets harder to shop as they get older, and mine do enjoy the money so they can shop online themselves.

I am going to try to have a better and more positive attitude this week. All the money I spent has put me into a slump and made my frustration-dealing level drop. Got to stop getting so worried and upset.

Yes, Christmas will be here before we know it. I give my grandson money because I have no idea what to get him. Most of the things teenagers want are too expensive. He is taking a cartoon art class and I ask for one of his drawings for Christmas. His dad is going to wait until spring break to go up there. Travel during Christmas is just too hard. He is talking about going for part of his son's summer vacation to help teach him to drive. I just can't see his mother teaching him. I think the best thing I did for my younger son was make him take a defensive driving class. I would rather ride with him than his brother who spent too much time driving in Europe and New Jersey.

Shelia, sorry about your BIL but yes, there are worse things than dying.

Yesterday while Harold and I were waiting for his dinner one of the aids was eating one of the Nutty Buddy type cookie bars. Harold was looking at it hard so she gave him one. He ate it fine. I had ask that they reevaluate him to see if he could have regular food. They have him on pureed food because he was choking. That is some unappetizing stuff. My purse looks like a picnic basket when I go because I have straws, plastic utensils, a nutrition drink, cups and sometimes a coke. Guess I will have to add cookies. When he was in the hospital I had brought him some green beans from Popeys. He said they were the best green beans he had ever eaten because they had seasoning. The hospital puts the pureed food in molds so it looks like food. They aren't fooling anyone because it tastes like you know what.

Lately I have been seeing pictures of snake looking toys being sold as cat toys. I don't think that is a good thing to desensitize cats to snakes. People post picture of their dogs with a baby pacifier. And there are stories of dogs having surgery to remove pacifier.

We had a front come through during the night with a lot of rain. I don't think it was a cold front because it is 65. It's suppose to be in the 70's this week and then cool off for Christmas. They are still talking about snow for Christmas.

Judy, if I had to deal with all the problems you have had lately I would not be a happy camper either. I am still PO'ed that they couldn't change a breaker in my motorhome in a week and a half. They still haven't called to tell me that the breaker came in and I would bet I don't hear from them until after New Years. Grrrrrr

Catherine, yes I will be a certified hypnotherapist when this course is done. Am planning to work my way into it and do less hours cutting hair since that is wreaking havock on my shoulders and wrists, etc.

That is one of my favorite things to do too! Where do you live now? I should come up and visit you one day!

Nice cool breezey day here today. Hoping I can get the last of the paint smell out of here with all the windows open.

Am almost done with my dock project. Just a couple more finishing touches and then will wrap them up and ship them out tomorrow.

I haven't heard back from Lumber Liquidators yet about setting up a day to put the floors in. Hopefully will hear tomorrow but am thinking it will be sometime after Christmas or New Years. My new furniture will be here on December 26th.

Good Morning All. I'm sure by the time I hit submit it'll be afternoon here, though.

Rainy night and Peaches even cut our walk short this morning. Surprised me because it was a very gentle rain at that point. The rain changed my plans for today... So sitting and watching movies. Semi watching actually. Nothing exciting here... Tomorrow starts a work week and I need to get Buddy licensed and insured etc so he's legal.

Sharon, Thank you so much about the information on the Subaru battery. I suspected that as my newer RV's battery does that. If I don't drive it for two weeks the battery is dead from 'Phantom draws".
