I'm going to take some off today off. Nothing really planned. Some friends arrived in the area yesterday and hopefully I'll get to take them around Custer State Park tomorrow. I look forward to that.

I expected to awake to rain, but it's partly sunny right now so think a walk is in order.

Met up with Tina and crew on the Blue Ridge yesterday. Beautiful day today. We are touring Lexington, VA, home and burial place of Stonewall Jackson. No cell or internet service at the campground, so pictures will come later sometime.

And they are off headed for lakes, rivers, and hiking trails. It's a hot muggy day in SE TX. So far the dogs and I have decided to stay inside the house. Will be meeting a friend and picking blueberries tomorrow if it does not storm in the morning. Sometimes the weather fore guessers don't tell the weather gods what is planned. We pay for it.

Be safe on the road. Have lots of fun!

This weather business is sure a pain at times for all of us! If they could just get it right. I'm traveling with just the SS and spending my second night in Springfield, IL - headed to Indianapolis tomorrow. Think I'm going to get wet and quite possibly delayed. Meeting at a SS owner's home on the east side of Indy where several of us will have dinner and spend the night. Monday we will be joined by others to ride to Maggie Valley, NC for the rally.

Sadly, I am home this weekend (not much travelling for me in the summer months) but it was a super productive day! I got in a long walk first thing this morning and a kayak paddle with some neighbors.
Our slight chance of rain has turned into an all afternoon rain so I made it a "making" day :) Made a batch of banana walnut muffins, a big pot of veggie soup for lunches next week, a casserole for the freezer, and some homemade body butter! And have a batch of yogurt working in the crockpot that will be ready in the morning.
Really wanted to do some yard work today but that will have to wait...
I had a cup of coffee today for the first time in weeks so I'm thinking that explains my energy level today.
Enjoy the weekend everyone!
