Gray Friday Morning

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Gray Friday Morning

Postby Colliemom » Fri May 26, 2017 7:47 am

Morning all, gray skies this morning. Might see some sun though. Good morning for a quick house cleaning before heading outside. Have a couple shrubs to plant and good time for it as ground is wet from yesterdays rains. Am also waiting to hear from dealer to come pick up my trailer as they found three problems with the slide and have fixed them. I had to make a run over there yesterday and while talking with the service manager, mentioned I would love to get a MaxAire vent on my roof when they weren't so busy. He said they could do it now, no problem. So figure they probably kept it inside to let the caulk dry overnight before I pick it up. My perk for being patient and letting things come as they may on my repairs :D So will be finishing up some loose ends like installing paper towel and toilet paper holders, towel rack etc., and loading up to leave next Saturday.

Velda, so sorry to hear about Mel. Hopes and prayers go out to you both. Yes, please keep us in the loop.

Going to get moving here. Have a nice day everyone and enjoy the holiday weekend.

We are going to be partly cloudy today and Saturday. Good chance of rain Sunday-Wednesday next week. But you guys know the forecaster....they guess based on the last time it was like this! I am thinking about going to the blueberry pick it yourself place tomorrow. Went last Sunday, but I need some more cuz my caretaking (I am caretaking their house and animals) Mom said she'd do some sugar free jam! Now that'd be nice. Nothing lined up here. Man I love retirement!

Ok time to go watch the ducks on the ponds and the traffic on yon road! Be safe on the road and always have fun!

It's partly cloudy here too but boy is it windy. I don't think it's suppose to rain but who knows. Starting tomorrow I think there is a chance of rain for the next week. Hurricane season starts next week, like hurricanes know when the season is. I sure hope we don't have to evacuate this year. I kind of wish we had built a metal building on our property that is 20 miles inland. We would have a place to haul all our junk to.

The rehab wanted me to come see Harold's progress yesterday morning. They have him walking with the walker and even climbing stairs. Unless he has a set back in the next week I think we can bring him home. They were talking about a skilled nursing facility which I think is a nursing home that is suppose to do rehab. I think he will get more rehab here than laying in a bed half the day.

Martha ...some of those rehab places are very intense they get good workouts... I would check it out before I would disregard it they've worked them all day long...

Donna, that's the kind of place he is in now. I know people that have had someone in the local rehab and it's more nursing home than rehab.

George's rehab was a joke, even with me watching.
It was all about how long is Medicare/Private Insurance going to pay...

It depends on the place. Ask about it first. Some places are better than others.
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
