Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Left the driveway yesterday and made a long day of it. Some three hundred miles but it means I get to visit with one of my cousins in the area today before I jump up onto the Blue Ridge tomorrow. Just finished taking Lark and Audrey on a walk around the campground and down to the lake (Claytor State Park just west of Roanoke). I enjoyed watching Lark keep grabbing at Audrey's leash to lead her around and remembered back to Audrey's first hikes that summer in Michigan where she spend most of her time pestering Stuart and Remi on the walks. Remi told Audrey he had enough of those first walks at the recent dog show fairgrounds and thought it was Audrey's turn to mentor.

A little too windy to feel a need to get a kayak wet. There will be more opportunities soon, I am hoping. This is a beautiful campground though. Sites are well graveled, fairly level and large. And.....it had CBS over the air so I got to watch the end of Survivors.

Hope most of you can find some good adventures and make some small magic moments!

Went out to dinner with a friend last night. Was fun.

I found a family owned RV service place in a little town just west of me. Great reviews on line so will check that out today to see if they can put my new WD hitch on for me. Probably a lot cheaper than Camping World.

Partly sunny and warmer today at 74*. Have lots of little things to work on today before going to work tonight at 6. Was gonna take a hike at the nature preserve down the road from me but my feet are still sore from working so long last week. Thinking about going in for a foot massage! Poor feet!

My friend down in Florida just moved back into her home last month after the flooding from last fall's hurricane flooded out her house. Now, with the rains they are having down there and the high tides, her house is close to flooding again! I told her she needs to put her house on stilts or move to higher ground!

Hope you all have a great day!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
