Morning everyone,

I was beginning to wonder if anybody was going to post yesterday too. Glad you got it started Beth. Guess none of us had anything worth sharing. I had overnight company Saturday and as usual we had a good time. Always enjoy them when they can come up. Our parents were best friends so she and I along with her brother grew up knowing each other all our lives. I stood up for her wedding, 52 years ago. Lots of good times over the yeas as well as the other trials and tribulations of life. They will be back in July as we are going to take a sail on a tall ship for a few hours one day.

Otherwise nothing doing here. Molly goes to eye vet this morning to see if her eyes have improved enough to stop the drops, then later I will head off to do errands. Weather is soggy and damp, s no outside work today.

Nothing on my trailer slide issues yet. Dealer hasn't had time to get to it. Very busy right now with other repairs, dewinterizings, getting newly purchasedcrigs ready for new owners etc. especially with holiday weekend coming up.

Gotta get a move on here. Have a nice day all.

Good mornin' Sue and to those who follow. It is a rainy morning here in SE TX. Oh yeah it is cold to me at 62*. Was a little late getting up this morning but did get all the animals fed before the rain started. Thought I would go drink coffee on the front porch and watch the birds down on the pond. But after I got setup out there it was way to cold for short sleeved t-shirt. I opted to come back in the house, get out the iPad and float around the Internet, read and drink my coffee. Should stop raining after lunch. I went to a pick your own blueberry farm yesterday. Got a lot of berries at $2.99 a pound I ended up with $15 worth. Man, fresh blueberries beat store bought any day.. Froze mine and will package this afternoon. I am thinking I need to go out for some more next week.

Those traveling be safe and all of you have fun!

Good Morning! I’m sitting here drinking coffee and trying to get motivated. We leave to go camping on Wednesday and I’m nowhere near ready! I think the reason that I can’t get into it is that a fourth family is joining our normal group and I’m not overly impressed with their children. They are triples and have the attitude that they are rather “special”. Actually they are quite spoiled and rude. I’m sure that it stems from the fact that they were a high risk pregnancy and were in a NICU for several months and I understand that the parents are so thankful that they survived. My attitude is certainly not that I don’t like children because I do. I absolutely love the Sinclair kids that will be with us and when Al’s children were young and joined us I enjoyed them too. We spent hours playing board and dice games with them. I just have trouble hacking the entitlement attitude that the parents have instilled in these 9 year olds. Enough of my rant.

I did go out to the camper to clean last night. Surprisingly it wintered well and I didn’t have a lot to do. Washed all the bedding and towels. Then I opened one of the cabinet doors and my sugar canister fell out and I had sugar all over on the counters and in the range top, on the floor. Yes, I said some choice words! Hoping when I go out this morning that I don’t have ants all over. The bright side was that the refrigerator fired right up. Our 5er is 19 years old and we know that the refrigerator is probably going to go at any time, so every time I start it I say a little Hail Mary. But the pessimist in me has already been searching for an apartment size unit that will fit in the space!

Barbie is getting her little camper all equipped. Sue is getting ready for a trip. Beth has finally found another work camper. Harold seems to be improving, Birdie is house sitting and going on a blueberry binge….I know I’ve missed someone…my brain can’t think of other things that I have read.

Well, I have to head over to Missy’s to pick up Roxie. She normally stays at her daughter’s house when it gets really busy at the greenhouse. However last night they sprayed their yard and Missy doesn’t want her out there today because Roxie has so many allergies. So she’s going to hang out with me today.

I went to bed early for me around 11:00, up at 2:00. Finally went back to sleep and a cat fight woke me up around 5:00 and had a headache. Probably from lack of sleep. Finally decided to go feed the horse before the rain gets here. The rain is almost here. That is a big area from way in the Gulf all the way to Shreveport. It is moving slow so hope we don't have flooding again.

Carolyn and I went to pick blueberries in Ruston, LA when we were at a campout a few years ago. Ruston has the peach festival every year around June. Their peaches are so good. I'm not much of an ice cream eater but I think we were eating peach ice cream twice a day. I have been looking for some ever since. When the peaches are ripe they will be selling them on the side of the road. I will have to try to make some ice cream.

I saw one little humming bird this morning. When I first put up the feeder we had about 5. I haven't been seeing any for a couple of weeks. I think the wood bees were messing with them. We almost have the bees under control so hope the humming birds come back.

Remi, Audrey and Lark are waiting for their ride over to the Vet's this morning. Remi had read through the reports and looked at the pictures of states affected and thought that they really might benefit from a Lyme vac before heading off towards New England... I know it can't catch everything but might improve the odds......

Josef had a fine weekend at the Marietta Shows. He went BOB (Best of Breed) one of the four days over a ranked Special being shown by a handler but most fun was he got Best Owner Handler. That meant he got to go back in the Sporting Group made up of the best dogs from each breed only handled by one of their owners. He placed Third on Friday and Saturday and placed Fourth on Sunday. Josef got to go home with his First Mom/breeder and co-owner, Cindy. She is going to show him this summer and keep his show coat groomed. ....while Audrey runs the hiking trails of New England like the couch (Don't need to worry about no stinkin' show coat) dog she has become. :)

I hope to have the show stuff unloaded and the kayak stuff packed and leave the driveway by Wednesday!

Pat.....regarding "to precious to be responsible" children...remember a 6 year old with Down's that I had in my class one year. He was the youngest of 4 or 5 boys and had had cancer as a 2 year old and undergone months and months of treatment. At 6 he was healthy but he had Down's and brothers/grandmothers/family that were used to spoiling him and thought he was just so "cute". I think Mom already knew what she needed to do but I helped give her the courage to face the rest of the family and set some limits. I reminded her that she probably wanted all her boys to grow up to be responsible citizens of the community. Surviving Cancer is hard but from experience watching other students with behavioral issues I reminded her that he wouldn't wake up one morning when he was 13-14 and suddenly decide to be well mannered and responsible...there was no magic medicine for that.....

No, I did not skip Sunday! I was buried in the TV! I know about your rain Martha because LSU and Ragin Cajins have been having trouble getting their games in. They play this morning if able to do so.
We have a big weekend coming up. Company coming, a funeral, and a couple of parties. Lyn

Good morning
waiting for a windshield today, no time frame so its
one of those wasted days. Hope he comes early.
Went out and rearranged some things in the mh
this morning, actually brought some stuff back in
as I decided it was too much. Also put some stuff
back in my cabinets in the bedroom for longterm
storage in the fifthwheel.
Maggies allergies have kicked up and her poor
little eyes are so red. Two days of washing them
with eyewash and cosmetic pads have them looking
better today. Also benedryl helps cause she gets to
rubbing on the rug so much she tears herself up.
I feel her discomfort.
Not much else is worth telling. Y'all have a good day.

Raining all day here in central Kansas, so this will be an indoor day. I have some sewing and some other chores to do. Need to write some stuff for my class, as well. And papers are due tonight, so might cheat and try to get an early start on a couple of them. Also, still trying to figure out my plans for late fall. I definitely want to plan a week in Death Valley, but the Verizon service there is a bit iffy and I need to plan being there for a week when I do NOT have oral presentations. Anyway, an indoor day is not bad at this really beautiful campground. It is on a series of hills, and my site is right on the edge of the lake on a peninsula so I have a wonderful 230 degree view!

Saw something neat yesterday. As I was driving westbound, west of Topeka on I-70 to my campground, I saw groups of people on many of the overpasses holding flags. At first, I thought it was a protest of some sort, but what was strange is that they were only standing on the eastbound half of the freeway. Then I saw AT LEAST a full mile of motorcycles--easily several hundred. They were all waving at traffic as they roared past, which I thought was a little strange, and maybe a little unsafe. So tonight, I did some internet searching, and it all made sense. What I saw on the overpasses were people waiting for the motorcycles who were headed to Washington DC and the Vietnam Wall: https://www.rftw.us/

Nice to see so many people packing up and getting ready for the road! Alice, I wonder if the rug has pollen on it from being tracked in. Might want to wash it and keep putting clean ones down.

Good Afternoon, It's a lovely cool day here. Tina you and Josef are quite a team, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Do they have anything out for people for ticks!? If you are going to New England they have big time tick issues. This is the worst year I remember for them here. I think I need a tick collar, I've now had 7 so far, more than both the dogs. I don't let them in the back yard, and walk them on the street, (quiet street no sidewalks) and I only step off to pick up after them. I've ordered a net for my head as I have had 3 there so far. I'm pretty sure they fall off all the trees.
The dogs said they are going to report us for not feeding them on time Saturday. I went out at 4:30 with a friend and got home at nine. We went to a winery and sat on the patio that looked out over a rolling vineyard. It had rained earlier and there was a small puddle of water where three tiny children were splashing happily. We then decided to go for pizza. DH said he thought I fed them before I left...no one hesitated over what was served!
I freeze lots of blueberries every year. I don't wash them first, just double bag them in freezer bags and wash as I eat. I've read a couple of places that washing them first makes them tough or something. It's been so long I've forgot the reason.
Ava, I've been giving Mitzi Benedrly for itchies, at least I thought I was. I've started finding them stashed in various places. I swear she must swallow them them and bring them back up. I even give her a treat after the pill. She may have to go for a shot if they don't get better. She chews particularly at one spot on her front leg.
Sue I hope Molly's eyes are better.
DPF I'm with you on spoiled kids, I find it hard to understand why so many parents let their kids be totally undisciplined. My friend who is a teachers aid tells incredible stories about even pre school kids being just wild, like biting and hitting the teachers! I can't even imagine what my parents would have done if we had even thought about that kind of behavior

Whew! Long hard day at work! Worked from 3 to 9 but no breaks at all. Was crazy busy the whole time! My manager worked from 8am to 8:30pm with no break and did 50 haircuts! That is nuts! I would die way before then! She is a lot younger than me tho. Six hours for me was way too much. My feet and lower back are very sore tonight! Not sure why it was so busy on a Monday but maybe everyone was hibernating all weekend and waited til today to get their hair cut. We were definitely not properly staffed for it.

Got some more things I ordered for the camper today. Got a new door holder for the outside door. The one that is on there isn't working. Also the storage bin door holders (to hold them open) are all broken so got new ones of those. Just some other little things. Ordered a new drill this morning too. My little one died, and was probably too small for putting the jacks up and down anyways. Got one on sale at Menards.

There is a small pond near me that has a pair of swans with a nest. I have been watching the female sitting on the nest for a long time and feeling bad for her thru the heavy rains and hail she had to endure recently. Finally, today, I saw her and her mate swimming across the pond with 4 or 5 babies in tow. Yay! Made my day!

Too bad about that motorcycle accident. Glad it wasn't more serious tho.

They were riding pretty close together, two abreast, at 60+ MPH and many were waving with one hand!! This meant they were riding one-handed.

I am amazed more did not pile up.
