Sunshine Friday

Morning everyone. Sunshine seems to be the theme these days. Don't think anybody's complaining about that.

Wow Barb, things are really jumping on your dad's house. But yes, a biding war to tear it down is sad. But I guess sometimes it depends on which is the cheaper way to go. I see it go on all the time here. That would be wonderful if your co-worker got it and let you live there for awhile. Judy, glad you finally got things serrled down with the wind. I've been in those situations too and have now gotten to where as much as I like being on the water, will avoid rhe wide open waterfront sites and maybe get one across the the road or at least a few trees.

Busy day here today. Chiropractor appt. this morning, vet appt. for Piper. Dropping off some screens for repair, then later going to church for fish fry. Need to get new battery for my lawn tractor too. Beautiful weekend coming up, so will be outside cleaning up the yard.

So, that's my story for this morning. Hoping ya all have a nice weekend.

Mornin' Sue and all that follow ~~~
Yep, bright & sunny in the Chitown area too today. Nice to see after a few cloudy, dreary, days. Tomorrow is the big day. Picking up Colt 2.0. So exited. BIL coming too to help with the backing up. Sure hope he and my other semi-driver teach aren't lying when they say the longer it is, the easier it is to back up lol. We'll camp for a few days so I can get stuff set-up. BIL can use a getaway. The back surgery he had done is causing other problems. He now has little feeling in his legs and his legs are very weak. He's been having tests done (MRI, neurological test, etc) and right now the thought is they put a screw thru a nerve. :o Waiting for the latest test results before they figure out what's next. Could be an injection to help swelling on the nerve or another surgery. Basically, he is now feeling 20 years older than before the surgery and is walking with a cane. He could walk fine before the surgery. If he has to live the rest of his life like this, I see a lawsuit in his future. I did think he rushed into the surgery too fast (didn't get a second opinion), but that's water under the bridge now.

That's it from my neck of the woods (city?). Have a good day ladies and stay safe on the roads. Beth ~ say Hi to the heads for me. I'll get there someday. ;)

I'm looking forward to getting the heads again. I certainly will say hi for you, Cheryl. Have fun with Colt 2.0.

I'm deciding whether to stay here a third night or travel all of 20 or 30 miles to check out a NM state park I've never been to. I think I'll go check out that park. I'm carefully monitoring the weather, especially the winds, for travel days. But it looks like between stopping at this state park and another stop I had planned, I just might be able to get back to some of the stops I planned in advance.

Have fun and stay safe everyone.

Another sunny day here too! Birds are chirping! Life is good! I took a long walk yesterday during a showing, around the lake and thru the neighborhood. Brought back a lot of memories! Even found the old path thru the woods across the street where we kids would play and the boys build forts back there. Some fun times in the old neighborhood!

Cheryl, sorry to hear about your brother's issues. Hope he can get 'fixed' and feeling better! Not all doctors are competent, unfortunately. My knee surgery was botched by one many years ago. Still have issues...

Lots of full price offers coming in on the house. Just got another one this morning for over asking price so we will be discussing that today. We knew it would be a tear down because of being on the lake and being surrounded by huge homes on either side. It is old and smaller. The cost of remodeling is higher now days than the cost of tearing it down and rebuilding. Everyone wants their "dream house" on the lake here. So it is bittersweet for us but we knew it would happen. Even my dad knew that someday it would be sold as a tear down. This was his dream house, so now it is someone else's turn to have their dream house.

On Sunday I am going to look at a room for rent west of here on a farm. I found it thru a friend of mine. Hopefully tho, I might be able to stay here for the summer instead, but will see what happens and who ends up with the house.

Laundry this morning and then let my SIL's dogs out at her house for a potty break, and then to work this afternoon.

Have a great day! :D

It's a beautiful day in Louisiana. Nice in the sun but a little cool in the shade. I'm at the campground for the Glamper Rally. This is a nice, neat campground but too close to I-10. The traffic noise is bad. I don't know how many times I woke up last night. It was cool enough to run my heater so that helped drown out some of the traffic noise. I have been watching everyone set up their decorations. I brought a table and a bowl of mints. I rode to town with some ladies and ended up at a flea market. I now have a bird house for a decoration. I need to quit going to these places because I also have 2 more cookbooks. One is Eat, Bitch & Wine. I had to have it. We are going out to eat at a restaurant that has music. I haven't been there so don't know what kind, probably cajun.
