Wet Tuesday

Bit wet here this morning. Had a good rain last night. That will take last of frost out of the ground and weaken the ice on the lakes more. There is however a possible storm coming Thursday that could dump some signifcant snow or miss us altogether. I always maintain that wibter hasvto have it's last hurrah but it's over.

Pat, loved the pic of bronc at the PBA. Such concentration. Got a real cowboy growing up there. I always enjoy your posts about his and your families activities out there. Gives a nice western perspective to things and what it's like to live on a cattle ranch etc. The way of life that's been passes down for generations since the west was settled. BJ, if you go into http://www.rvtrader.com, put your make, model and year in, it will bring up any rigs like yours that may be up for sale and prices. If not, try a year or two later as it will give you some idea. Some RV dealers will also give you an idea if you ask them. I would have sold my trailer myself, but I wanted that other one and it might have been sold before I sold mine, so I traded.

Off to town this mornig. Kitchen getting bare here. I want to lose weight, but  need to swing by insurance office and stop insurance on other trailer. Then back to trip planning. Time is moving right along. Have a nice day everyone, keep safe on the roads and in the paths of the storms.

Rosemary (GypsyRose), if you happen to readvthis, I sent you a PM

Good morning
wow, this retired life has me so busy lately, I don't
know when I ever had time to be responsible!! Little
work here n there keeps a few extra $$ in the pocket.
I've tried hard to keep up with y'all but outfitting the
motor home right now has me possessed, lol I did figure
out the tv, no need to buy a new one, and fixed the
antenna with a little spray. I did break the handle and
although I can still crank on the stub, it doesn't look nice
so I'll have to replace it. I also designed and built some
brackets to hang a shelf under the existing tv shelf in
the bedroom. I'm quite pleased with the results, now
just need to get it hung.
Early morning tax appt, 8:30, should be done by 9:30. Then
I will just continue on with ways to ignore my housework.
Y'all have a great day, be safe and be well

We are about to head to UCD in Sacramento for a regular check with ENT Dr. The VA keeps piling on more appointments. Latest is we are supposed to call the Air Force hospital at Travis but so far we haven't been told what it's for. We shall see but pretty sure we will refuse that since its 60 miles away and am sure a local place could do it. It's a beautiful day here, but we are supposed to get rain Friday /Saturday. I really need to buckle down and finish my entries in turbo Tax as the tax man calleth.
Have safe travels and a good day all.

Ava, I know I did more housework when I was working than now. It's too easy to put things off until tomorrow. Tomorrow doesn't seem to get here if it involves work. I have a bin of papers I need to go through. The 2014 tax papers need to go somewhere so I can move 2016 out of the middle of my office floor. I can't store things away too far because the Dept of Agriculture is alway wanting some kind of information. They are worse than the IRS.

Someone at the last campout wanted to know what my TV antenna was. I have one of the flat, round ones instead of the kind you crank up. There is a switch inside that is suppose to make it rotate but it doesn't anymore. I told them that it doesn't work. Well, it make a lier out of me. I was trying to find a local station to get the weather and I got 17 channels. I was between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. I bet it still doesn't get much if I'm away from a big city.

I'm still waiting to hear from the CPA. I'm glad I don't have a trip planned that I would be worried about because of the deadline. I will be gone Thursday and Friday but will be here all next week. Have a trip to Texas planned for the last week of this month. All the bluebonnets will probably be gone by then because it was so warm early.

Good afternoon! Sue, be nice if you wouldn't share your weather! Rain here today too and snow in the forecast for Friday. But on the up side lots of signs of spring and flowers and bushes starting to bloom. Some of my daffodils are starting to bloom!

Alice and Martha, glad I'm not the only one that figures tomorrow is soon enough to do things! I always have good intentions but other more important things get in the way! Beth, hope you have good weather as you head north. Tina, how was the show this past week end?

I'm getting so frustrated with my iPad, it keeps dropping the wifi signal here at home and no one seems to be able to give me an answer as to why. Suppose at some point I'll talk to a person that knows.

Not much else happening here today. Gotta go get dog food since I never got out to do it the other day. Container is getting really low and the boys won't be happy with me if it's not filled! They finally made it to the groomer yesterday and look so much better now. Didn't get their summer cut yet but they are shorter then they were. Have a good day and travel safe.

The weekend was tiring but the trip well worth it. Josef got Select Dog on Saturday for 1 additional grand point and the lone Bitch Special with a professional handler on her went BOB. But on Sunday, :) Josef went Best of Breed for a 5 point major with just little uncoordinated me handling. He didn't get looked at in the big Sporting Group ring that was filled with Specials and their handlers but in the Owner Handlers Sporting Group with about 15 sporting breeds represented he got a Group 2 behind a beautiful Irish Setter and.....he got a boat load of positive comments from the judge that judged the group......

The best part of that was knowing that we will be showing to that particular judge in May at the MArietta, OH, shows.

It was a gorgeous day here!

The real estate agent came by this morning with her cleaning crew. I left shortly after to run some errands and eat lunch. They were gone when I got back but they locked me out. The only door I have a key to, they locked the storm door in front of it which can only be unlocked from the inside. Luckily, I discovered the slider on the deck wasn't locked so got back in that way. The house looked really nice!

I spent most of the day outside cleaning up the yard. I bought some mulch and put that in the flower boxes and the front flower garden. Just put some faux greenery in the flower boxes to make them look nice. Cleaned off the deck and arranged the chairs out there facing the lake for people to sit on and enjoy the view. I really like tinkering outside like that. My brother came by tonight and we did some more "fixes" in the basement which really made it look better down there.

Lola spent some time outside too with me. She stays right by the house and knows to run up to the deck if she gets scared.

I also stopped at an antique shop near here to find out about something we found in the attic. My brother thought it was an old printer of some kind. Well, there happened to be a customer in the shop who took a look at it and said, yes it is a very old printer. He thinks it is very rare and probably worth a lot. He told me to look it up on line and see what more I can find out about it. He thinks even a printer museum might want it. We are not sure where it even came from since we had never seen it before and my dad never mentioned anything about it.

Tomorrow they are sending over a drone to take aerial photos of the house. Not sure what I will do other than some laundry and make a run to a thrift store to drop stuff off. Maybe just relax and take a walk around the lake! It is about a mile and a half around this little bay. Just a nice little jaunt. I have a new library book to read too called "Eat, Pray, Love". Heard good things about it.

Hope you all had a good day!
