April 1st - Rabbits Roll Call

Postby Colliemom » Sat Apr 01, 2017 6:37 am

Good Morning! Happy April Fools Day and time for the monthly check in. Let us know how ya are and whatcha been doin. Got any trips, short or long planned or whatever. I made reservations yesterday for Gettysburg (Gettysburg Campground) and Lancaster county (Country Acres Campground), so will be in those areas from June 8-13. Prior to that I will be in northern MD for a couple days and after Lancaster, will be heading to I-80 and west toward home. Jello plans at that point.

Today I am going out and enjoy the sunshine and do some fence work. Nice 50 degrees week coming up for most part, with maybe few showers thrown in.

So, will get off here, so ya all can get on. Have a great day and watch out for your prank loving family or friends

Good morning Sue & everyone!

Sue, don't forget to take some breaks in between all the work you do around the yard and house.

Greetings from warm and sunny FL! We're supposed to get to 90 both today and tomorrow. Brenda, Steve & I have been busy kayaking and hiking. Paddling in the crystal clear waters here is so nice, enjoying nature at its best.

Good Morning and Happy April,
Cloudy and cooler here this morning but today is the first outdoor Farmers Market of the year! This afternoon I'm going to a BBQ, Blues and Brews event at one of the local wineries that also brews some great beer. I'm the designated driver but I will enjoy the music and food. I though yesterday was the first and said a couple of things to the dogs then, said Rabbits. Don't think that will count.
Had another acupuncture treatment yesterday. I have something called trigiminal neuralgia and acupuncture so far is keeping pain to minimum, thank goodness!!! This is the third time I've had a re-occurrence so have an appointment with a neurologist in a couple of weeks.
Enjoy the day.

Sunny and warmer here today. Sue, our forecast is the same as yours. 50's all week with hit and miss showers.

I did remember to say "rabbits" after midnight so hoping that works! Need all the luck I can get this month! Stress levels are extremely high around here right now!

Off to work! Have a good day! :D
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)

Good morning to all. Beautiful day here in Vegas after two days of wind, rain and cold. Blue sky and no wind today. We hired someone to come in and clean up our yard and prune our one bush. They took bags of dead pine needles out. Pictures in the blog of how nice it looks now. The insurance adjuster will be coming back Monday to recheck the roof and the new damage to it. Today Bill wants to go to the Radio Control Plane airfield...he has to join the club to fly there and today they are recruiting. Also having a swap meet. Other than that no plans except to enjoy the yard and weather.
On edit - if you have a computer the first of the month is always a good time to back it up. You never know when it might go...

Good Morning Everyone!! Just lost my post, one more try. I touched something wrong on IPad, so totally my fault :D I'm still in what is beginning to be very hot Fl. Service on RV and me ( dr) next week then will slowly head north, just want to get moving . I'm at my sisters, not doing much except enjoying her A/C and being with her.

Thought it was time to check in, have been reading some but nothing to post about. Wondering how far west Lyn is, Beth ready to head north, Sue making summer trip plans, and sorry Peggy you got back too soon but you had an ideal time, so enjoy the memories of that time while wrapped in blankets :) Sharon, has something big and red in her future hmmmm. Liz, is biding her time waiting for finalizing her future, but ready to move on I imagine  BJ, bummer you're designated driver, but have fun anyway. Sarah, is back to reality !! Carol and Bill, sorry about your homecoming, Terrible storms in many places, stay safe !!

Just checking in,
CArol

Getting ready to unplug and hook up the car. No hurry, but I'm excited to be back on the road. Sad it's only a short time. But any amount of time traveling is good!

I think I said rabbits before anything else.

Take care... These months go by so dang fast!

Good morning! I actually remembered rabbits this morning! It looks like another cool, dreary day here today. At least we aren't part of the snow they are getting north of us! I need to make a run to Petco today for dog food so need to decide if I want to go to Altoona or State College. Depends on what else I decide to do!

I got the cover off of Lola the other day. The bottom of the cover was still wet so I makeshifted a "clothesline" in the garage with the sawhorses so I hope that'll dry it out before I roll it up to store it. Now I just need to start loading the things I took out for the winter! And clean her too, of course! Weather hasn't been good enough for me start hauling stuff out to her. Ah, for a sunny day or two! I do need to check the air pressure in the tires before I take her to get inspected this week. I also have 30 cents off on gas from the grocery store so will use that to fill her up after I bring her home!

Sue, glad to get the dates you'll be in Gettysburg! Now the question is if you'll have a new TT! Not sure if I'll bring the rv down or just do a day trip so jello it is right now! Anyone else interested in a gtg?

See that there's been some bad weather in the SW and SE so hope everyone in those areas are okay. Guess I won't complain about what we have right now! Hope you all have a good week end and travel safe! See that several of you popped up while I was writing this! Glad to see you are almost home, Lyn and out of the bad weather. Carol and Bill, saw your blog and photos of the damage to your roof.

Gmorning all:)

Way past time for me to check in, so I'm answering the roll call. Nice to hear from those of you who already did this a.m. April Fool's day--a good day for me to think about doing my taxes!

Just keeping up with dogs, self, home. Looking forward to getting out to the garden. Bro already bought onion sets to plant. Wants to put in some other early veggies.

Wishing you all a good day & great month!

I forgot Rabbits again. The weather channel is all hyped up about the storm that is coming through tonight and tomorrow. We are in the severe area and could get 4 inches of rain so they say. Not looking forward to another round of storms, especially at night.

Yesterday afternoon I decided to go fishing at the pond. The fish weren't bitting very much but it was a nice sunny day with a breeze so I was just enjoying being out. I hear the mower start and here comes Harold on the mower. He decides to mow around the pond. That scares me because I can just see him going in the pond. He gets the mower hung up on something or runs over something and gets a flat. We had to go get the truck and a 12 volt air pump. We had to air up the tire twice just to get the mower to the house. He has gone off this morning to bring the mower to the shop.

I wish I had one of the old time sinks with a drain board to make a fish cleaning place. They sell plastic tables for that but they aren't very sturdy. I hate to keep any fish because I end up having to clean fish on the top of an ice chest.

Good morning everyone, checking in from sunny SoCal. Finally getting some good weather this week, mid 70's and the wind is supposed to be gone. It's been pretty quiet around here all winter, just to cold and wet for my taste. Leaving Monday for 3 days at Del Mar beach at Camp Pendleton Marine base in Oceanside...it pays to have friends in high places. LOL! Back on Thurs, out again on Friday to Glamis North Hot Springs for some off roading and soaking with the family. Have some dr. visits the following week and trying to get out of here the 16th headed to Texas to do some motorcycle riding with friends and family. Bought a very expensive motorcycle hauler, F150 4X4 that I can tow behind Hope. And yes, it's red! Not my first color choice, but the only one they could find with what I wanted. When I was gone last year, really missed my bike, so set out to find a way to bring it with me. Hopefully, I've done that. We'll see. Don't have time to get it set up to tow, so just taking the bike on a trailer this trip.
The Samcat is hobbling along, he has kidney failure, a little dementia and arthritis, but so far he's eating, pooping and still jumping up on the bed. Sometimes he gets lost in the hallway and starts yelling at the wall...I just have to holler his name and he snaps out of it. I'm hoping I'll know when it's time. Chewy is totally deaf and that seems to have calmed the little monster down a bit. Plus her allergies are, so far under, control. Completely off steroids and benydryl, which I'm sure contributes to her better mood. I'm sure she feels better.

Of course, forgot to say rabbits....darn it! Ya'll take care and keep on truckin'!

It is so nice to hear from everyone today. And I am REALLY glad I have left Florida for this year. Being a northern person, I still cannot handle that heat and humidity, so northern Georgia is perfect. I am at Old Federal Campground (COE) on Lake Lanier northeast of Atlanta, and it is a gorgeous sunny day with an expected high of maybe 75 late this afternoon. My campsite is on the stem of a skinny peninsula so I have lake views on both sides, plus it is about 20' higher than the lake. Nice swimming beaches all over here and a ton of sailboats and speed boats on this Saturday. Check out my blog from a couple of years ago: http://grandmajjb.blogspot.com/2015/04/ ... anier.html for pictures. Busy on weekends, but almost deserted during the week this time of year.

Will be here another 5 days then heading up to see my aunt and uncle. Then to my son's house by Easter. Been organizing and trying to do my taxes. Today, I will go through all of my maps and try to organize them into regions and eliminate duplicates.
