Sunday AM... Party too much last night?

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Sunday AM... Party too much last night?

Postby bluepinecones » Sun Feb 22, 2009 10:13 am

I'm usually the last one here. What happened? All of you could not have been out partying the night away.

Winter refuses to give up in No. AL, another cold, windy but sunny day. More opportunity to get indoor tasks done today for those of us who do not appreciate the cold outside.

Time to get moving ladies.

Have a good day!

It is Sunday, Right?

Postby BirdbyBird » Sun Feb 22, 2009 10:14 am

Hope everyone is just enjoying a slow start this morning.....I kept reading everything else on my e-mail this AM and thought, well the coffee will be all gone......Guess not so. Check it first, because I am not the best coffee maker. just lack of experience.....I go with tea most of the time....but the muffins are always good...they come direct from Kroger...why take chances.....It was rainy yesterday and still chilly today in the great state of Ohio...so I will hunker down, try to stay warm and search for some pictures. I have been meaning to scan some old pic in now that I upgraded the system. Now is a good time to start.

Come get something to much on.....

Good Morning All!

I slept late, then did a bunch of inside chores before coming here. Coffee tastes good this morning---I made Blueberry Cobbler flavored stuff, and am having it with French Vanilla creamer. I got my first weigh-in weight yesterday, and vowed I will not again step on the scale until next Saturday! Too much of this stressing over weight is not good. I will give myself a week to see some improvement. My plan is begin over with the least amount of carbs I can get by with and see if that works again as it did the first couple of times I did it. I don't call it a diet with a name-----just a diet tailored to me.

I spent the past couple of hours watching a show about Tornado storm chasers, and videos of the damage they do. It makes me feel VERY good to live where I do. Tornadoes are extremely rare up here, and more likely turn out to be those sideways-moving violent winds----can't think of the meteorlogical name for them right now, but we do have those now and again.

May you all have a fun day wherever you are, and let us share it with you!
Life is about learning to dance in the rain
Happy travels!

Gooood Morning Sistahs!!!!

HA!! Just came in from taking the dogs out and was gonna post a Morning shout out. Glad I refreshed the page first. :D I too wondered at the lack of a Sunday morning post.

Brrrrrr and shivers galore this morn! It's cold, windy and I have snow in my back yard. Good grief. Son turned on the weather channel and I see that a whole bunch of the country is getting a winter blast. The New England states are really in for it this time around with predictions of over 2' of snow for a large part of Maine. Heard the mid west is supposed to get hammered and that there is a huge swath of the country under a cold Canadian blanket. Funny tho I went out at 2:30am on the back porch and it wasn't bad at all. Just a tiny bit breezy and just before I came back in I felt a few tiny sprinkles. So it sure didn't take long for the cold and snow to move in as I ended up getting up for the day at 6:15 and there it was. Brrrrrr

Now I'm not saying that after I got up I stayed awake. Nope far from it. I sat here checking out my email and stuff and went back to sleep, right over top of my first cup of coffee of the day. Good thing I didn't 'fall' off my coffee cup!!  I think now that I'm awake for the day. I have been swilling coffee and just got done eating some eggs I fried up. First eggs I did uo for myself, my son talked me out of. He had to go to work this morn and put on such a pitiful starving act I couldn't stand it. Hmmm I wonder if he'll bring me home any goodies from his work??? He works at Olive Garden. I'm a fanatic for their stuffed mushrooms. YUM

It's going to be a typical Sunday for me. Housework and laundry. And I will see if I can wade thru some boxes. We've decided to get a closet sized storage room to put our "keep" stuff in. Boxes of clothes we're keeping, camping equip, odds and ends the only things we wont be able to put into storage will be our dishes and the cookware. Then the rest of it if the kids don't want it I will put on freecycle.

Ok I know it's late but the coffee is done and the yummies are sitting on the table. Everybody stop for a few and take a break from doing whatever it is your doing. Sit, eat and fill the rest of us in.

Hope everyone has a great day, be sure to stay safe and please stay warm.

Love to all

Afternoon! I'm playing catch up today after waking yesterday with a headache that wouldn't quit. Didn't accomplish much yesterday so I'm trying to get it all done today! I'll have to go back to work tomorrow to rest! So much to do, so little time.

Snowing and raining off and on here in MD this morning. I was outside earlier and it didn't feel that cold to me, so I'm not sure what's up. Hopefully it won't stick or get icy out there. GD is off with her Mom for their weekly visit.

I tried to take a picture of an old picture last night, but it didn't work. And I don't have a scanner. So I'll just have to find a better older picture to try to take a picture of to post here for the missing person report.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Came in on my lunch break and had to laugh at how many of you got here at the same late moment. Merged the posts. Today is my extra work day this week. Then, hopefully no more extra days before leaving. Although, since I took a day off last week, this won't equal extra pay this time.

Sun is out, but it's chilly here today. I know all of you northerners would think I'm nuts - but if I wanted your cold and snow, etc, I'd still be north. Ha.

I have a couple friends coming down for next weekend, and with my g/f nearby coming over, we'll have 4 of us g/f's tearing up the place next weekend. I'm looking forward to it, but at the same time, I know I have to start preparing to leave. My days off mid-March when I go to Port Lavaca, I'm going to get to Ford there for a bit - maybe stop in town here first for an oil change, check out my brakes, etc. I need to be in tip top shape for the Alaska trip.

Later today I'll be posting in the Maintenance Room - as yesterday I attended part of a seminar on RV Maintenance - and learned some good info. Want to share. It was presented by one of the RV Repair Services, and he really wanted us to learn - because he's too busy to do some of the simply jobs they get called out for. So, he said, if we all would just listen, we might not need him as much. I've used their service quite a few times (got my new fridge and micro/conv oven from them - and they do good work - so I was glad I was able to sit through part of the seminar. Hope I didn't miss too much!

OK, I want to read a bit here - and have to get off to work.

Have a great day.

holy moly, I'm so late, I've been dealing with a blue screen most of the
morning, seems my puter dropped a driver and lord only knows where
it is and it only reboots occassionally. Did the laundry and then went
to walmart, discovered a super walmart only 3 miles from me. Picked
up a rolling garment rack for 10$ and it fits nicely on the far side of
the bed and holds my two tubs on the bottom with extra clothing.
Now I have plenty of hanging space for my tops and pants. Took an
old sheet, folded in half and covered over the top to keep dust off the
tops of my clothes. Works great and I'm happy.
Also rescanned my channels since some of the tv stations already switched
over instead of waiting for the new date in june, and I found a new channel
I didn't have before. QVC, haha, I've never bought anything on QVC but
some of the stuff they have is really cool but I think its over priced. But
ya never know, I might see something I want. Ok, I'm outta here before
I get a blue screen again. Have a great day, be safe and stay warm.
Hopefully I'll get my XP back tomorrow.
