First Friday of March

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

First Friday of March

Morning all,

Was nice reading all the "check in's"the other day. Glad everybody's doing okay, just busy with day to day activities. Nothing exciting going on here either. Gang at the GTG having fun. Some starting to leave now. No more GTG's till one gets planed someplace.

For those of you who are thinking of or trying to purge stuff, our local Salvation Army store has a neat idea they just came up with. Being a religious based organization, they suggested since Lent is 40 days, do a "40 Things in 40 days" idea. Each day for the 40 days, remove one item, you no longer use or haven't used for more than a year. Clothing, jewelry, or whatever and put it in a trash bag. Then at the end ne of 40 days, bring the bag to the store and donate the items. Win, win for everybody. They get donated items for he store and you get some things purged out of the house. If you don't have Salvation Army store, there it could go to Goodwill or whatever may be in your area.

Any of you fans of or watch "The Voice"? There is a young lady in this season's competition, Lauren Duski. She is the daughter of my dentist. This past Monday was the first episode and I forgot about it, as I don't watch it. But I heard she really wowed the judges. Will be watching from here on though. Have never met her, but will cheer her on.

Nothing much on agenda here today. Maybe start working on tax stuff and a little more trip planning, head up to the church later this afternoon for Lenten fish fry etc. other than getting curtains ordered for the windows, I am done with redoing inside of house. So going to wish you a nice day and move along here :)

Here in Eastbank on Lake Seminole for a quiet day. Got work to do but also will be watching TV and going for a bike ride across the dam later. Then tomorrow I will be heading to very expensive Topsail for four days. Glad this place is cheap to make up for that one!

I really enjoyed the GTG and met some new and old friends. The nice part was that I did not get even a single mosquito bite, so no infections and trips to urgent care. Yea! Hopefully, I will make it the next 10 days along the Panhandle Gulf Coast equally bite-free.

I imagine they are all busy today at the GTG, hence no other postings. Did anyone note that other than one Sue scheduled in July and the one I have scheduled for Eagle Lake, there are no other get-togethers scheduled?? Hope to see more of you in California in August.

Way past morning here. I got very lucky today... Diana and a friend contacted me that they'd be coming through. It's a whirlwind trip through for them, but I was lucky with today off and met them for a few hours at the Desert Museum. Great seeing her and meeting her friend. They are already back on the road west.

It's been fun keeping up with the gtg group.

I'm just relaxing now, and after a snafu yesterday, I did get my taxes completed last night, and decided to dump after returning today, so maybe I'll relax tomorrow, too.

I don't get the right channel to watch the Voice here. It's a show I'd be watching otherwise, Sue, and I'd cheer on your dentists daughter. Good luck to her.
