Happy Valentine's Day to all :)

Now wouldn't you know I'd open MC since it's a no-brainer for a title  Hope you all have a happy day, even if you're "valentine" is your favorite 4-legger! That's the deal here, so I have three valentines:)

Barbie, heading back to MN today, or did you feel well enough yesterday to get a few hours of driving in? We'll be with you as you travel, so keep us posted. Alice, I guess the little trailer is working out good for you?

Okay, so how are things in NoCal? Haven't seen the news yet this a.m, so hope the "disaster" hasn't worsened.

Hey, there's a Colt 2!! Congrats on that:)

Time for Tigg's meds, so that's it from me. Wishing y'all a great day, safe travels & good health always! 8-)

Good Morning Carolb. Yep leave it to you to start coffe on the easy naming days  The disaster in CA is on the Weather Channel a lot, as they are monitoring the situation. Plan is to drop bags weighing 4000 pounds into that gaping hole on hopes it will help. They are running the water through the other spillway right now. Anne so glad you have safe refuge. And those of you in the SE look like you are in for some bad weather again too.

Heading to the kitchen in a bit to do some more RV on cabinets after a "day off" yesterday. At least from that. Had dentist appt and some errands in the morning, then snowcto clean up later from Sunday. Also lucked out in that due to mess ups by two companies, one my vehicle insurance and the other the leasing company, I had a bit over $700 in bills wiped out :D So was a really good day.

Guess it's time to get a move on here. Well under like to accomplish something today. Hope you all have a nice day. One week to the Hillsborough GTG and then looks like no more. We need some for the north or east or wherever for later this spring, summer and fall. Maybe SD where Beth, Vickie and Davevor whomever will be this summer. Lots to see and do around there and middle of country too.

Good morning,
And Happy Valentine's day to all, I try not to obsess over
these kind of days but I have Maggie and not a day goes
by that I don't hold her in my heart. She's everything to
me.
Hoping Barbie got well enough to start her journey back.
Looked up some updates on the California dam disaster,
couldn't find anywhere yet that any homes got destroyed.
So that is good news!
I'm still waiting on my rollover deposit as it will make a
big change in my life. This waiting game is so hard!
Need to get to the store today, I'm out of two very
important staples, coffee and wine. Lol
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

I don't ever celebrate Valentine's Day -- a family death, a true tragedy, on that day many years ago. So I let the day pass unnoticed.

I think, if nothing else pops up, I'll be able to finish packing today! Have to run to the bank, too, but that's fine. Fun coming up!

Just another day here in south Texas. Turned on the local weather channel as it is cold to me at 65*! Well it has been slipping and sliding between 80-90's with nights about 74*. Hope Barbie is checking the weather on I-40 if she is going that way as it is snowing with fog in NW Texas, Amarillo. I think they call that "snog"! Should warm up here this afternoon for the rest of the week.

Have my list ready for trip to Mexico tomorrow. Will be looking for Caramel Bailey's! That is so good. The Chocolate is pretty good too. Time to start the tax stuff too. Waiting on my mail to get here then, ugh, I'll start it.

Anita got my sewer solutions and set up. I have used it twice. I think the size is going to be wonderful. I think I will keep one set of stinky slinky for dump stations. I did order a 10' extension as sometimes the sewer is located waaaayy back there. It is here so that worked out great! Thank you. Okay time to get it going.

Lousy night last night. That pulled muscle on my back I got last year from riding the truck tour down Monument Valley has started hurting me again. Every time I moved last night, I got a sharp pain there. Anyway, I slept until 10 am. Was going to ride my bike today, but am putting it off until tomorrow. Got the electric heating pad out and putting it on my back, and also dug out the bottle of muscle relaxant pills I had. Except it was EMPTY!! How could I have put away an empty pill bottle?? Anyway, it will have to be Advil and Aspirin today, along with heat. Will take heating pad to bed with me tonight.

Getting old is rough. :( Seems like one ailment after another. At least mosquito bites are healed. And I am very thankful I don't have that flu thing that so many of you have, so I guess I ought to be more thankful. (Hope you are all getting better. Bad time of year to get sick.)

Warm here--was really foggy until after 10 this morning--very strange for the everglades. Also, I am going to post a California GTG and hope it goes off for this summer. Picking a place I am going to be anyway and hope some of you that are out there will join me.

We are under another tornado watch. The bad weather is just now crossing the Louisiana/Texas state line and should be here later this afternoon. I am watching the weather channel with the sound off because the storm alarm goes off every few minutes. It looks like it's headed to Florida tomorrow.

CC found a box of fishing bobbers and is trying to get one out. I gave him one the other day and he lost it. He is trying to get in the box but it's only about 6 inches square so don't think he will fit.

I need to go to the store so guess I better go before it starts raining.

Birdie, I'm glad you've joined the Sewer Solution club. :) I swear by mine and won't use anything else unless we don't have sewer at the site & have to dump quickly at a communal dump on our way out.

I've never, ever had trouble with it and have used mine for over 8 years. I did follow Anita's lead, however, and changed out the plastic backflow/quick-connect fittings for metal. Much easier to use, and I still get the same high water pressure needed to macerate everything.

For those of you who've never checked in to the Sewer Solution, I highly recommend them. I know that it's been brought up before, and everyone has their preferences. I just wanted to say how much I like mine. Again. ;)

70 more school days until I can lock my classroom door and never come back, and that doesn't take into account the days I'll be taking off between now and then. Seems like forever until June 8, but I know the time will go quickly. There's a TON to get done between now and then.

Oh my on tornado, watch. Praying you and others stay safe!
Mel had PET scan yesterday which was complicated slightly by having to stick him like 6 times to get a needle in place for the radioactive Flourine! But that is done and we are now on to the lung biopsy tomorrow.
Those are 1000 lb bags of boulders yesterday and bags of sand today being dumped in the eroded areas in front of the auxiliary spillway at Oroville Dam. I have the advantage of listening to our local news people on the ground there and the Kcra helicopter giving us a birds eye view several times a day. You can go to KCRA website and see updates. Questions now coming up since a local Friends of River group says they told the state in 2005 that the auxiliary spillway needed to brought up to current standards. Of course a huge water bill Moonbeam Brown wanted got passed but he spent not a dime on water infrastructure or upgrades to dams or new dams! Meanwhile 180,000 people remain evacuated and water continues to be drained from Oroville and Shasta in preparation for future rain and snow melt.
It's a sunny Valentines Day but more rain by thursday.
Velda
PS be careful of non local to here news reports. I heard several blatant lies on national news yesterday about it from heights of dam to people evacuated and other facts. Worst is that Almaguer guy on NBC?

Good Afternoon -

Moving day for me - left Hardee Lakes and now in Melbourne at Donna's Wickham Park until Friday. So looking forward to the beach! Had such a great time at the gtg - Hardee Lakes is beautiful!

Martha, I'm starting to think I don't want to drive through your neck of the woods to get to Texas! Seems you have had a lot of tornado watches this winter. Texas isn't sounding so great either at times. Starting to feel like Florida is home - never intended to stay this long!

Birdie, I picked up Bailey's in Mexico without thinking (I was so excited to get cheap Kahlua) and it wasn't any cheaper than in AZ. Wish I could send a shopping list with you! Glad you are liking the sewer solution. Laura, I had forgotten about the plastic backflow preventer!

Velma, just so sorry for all Mel has to go through and for you as well because it isn't easy. :(

Turned into a long day so I'm ready to call it the end! Have a relaxing evening

Tomorrow looks to be a very long day. Arrive at hospital at 10:30 for planned 11:30 lung biopsy then they said recovery and monitoring for several more hours, as many as 6 hours! With probably 2 or 3 chest X-rays to make sure no air or bleeding in the chest! Then home in mid rush hour traffic! Ugh!

Velda, hope things turn out good tomorrow with the tests. All the worrying must be so hard!

I finally got on the road!! Felt awful this morning but had to get up and finish loading the trailer. It takes so long when you have to rest for 10 minutes after each trip out to the trailer with stuff! Finally got going around 1pm. I really wanted to leave earlier so I wouldn't get caught driving after dark. I almost made it. Got into Deming, NM just about 6:30pm so it was getting dark already. Got checked into the Motel 6 and it is very nice! Even got a call later from the front desk clerk asking if everything was OK with my room. Never had that happen before. They will get a good review.

Lola did very well too. Cried a little just after leaving but settled down and slept the rest of the way. That calming collar works really well! She is now laying in her new cat bed next to me and already ate her dinner.

Saw some heavy rain around me in the mountains but only got a few sprinkles on the window. UHaul handled fine. It is only filled half way so not very heavy. No problem with wind either.

Tomorrow on to Odessa, TX. Hope to be on the road by 9am.

Still got this hacking cough! Sometimes it is because I got gunk in my lungs and trying to get it up, and sometimes it is just a dry tickle in the back of my throat. So annoying!

Glad you got on the road, Barbie, and Lola is taking it well. The hotel sounds nice. Hope you get your health back soon. Get well wishes for all the sickies here ;) Ken and I met some of my Amazon CamperForce friends for lunch, today, in Casa Grande. Had a nice visit. It was good to see them. They sold Christmas trees in TX, instead of working at Amazon this past fall. Ran some errands before heading back to Florence. Some Apache Junction friends, and their visiting son, were in Tucson for the day and stopped by for happy hour. Busy day! I ordered a new phone from Straight Talk Sunday night. It was charged to my CC, but still didn't get an email with tracking info. I got online and the chat rep said to call, so I did. For some reason, the order didn't get processed and they reversed the charge on my CC. Never did find out why, but had to reorder the phone....AARGH!!! There's a free overnight shipping promo. The order should go in tomorrow, so should be here on Thurs. How much you wanna bet it doesn't come then? My phone's battery won't hold a charge long, so really need the new one. We'll see! Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day!

Velda - wishing all the best tomorrow.

Barbie - if you hotel has steamy hot water, run a sink full and drape a towel over your head to breathe in the steam. Really helpful to get stuff up, and feels good on sore lungs too!
