Thursday Troubles

Let's start our day with a good morning here.

Thursday Troubles

Postby asirimarco » Thu Jan 19, 2017 8:52 am

Good morning to All from a little warmer Mazatlán, MX - been pretty cool here. Running the little heater every night. This week will all be in the mid 70s for highs. Coolest winter we ever had here. No I'm not complaining just commenting.
Have to back up my laptop as soon as I get off line. Something happened to it yesterday - well I did it and can't undo it. So I lost a program. First time ever I have not brought the disk with me for the winter. Live and learn. Have downloaded the program but still can't get it to work and am eating up my GBs, will back it up before I do any more fooling around. Also will go up to the RV park office and use his Internet to try and fix thing. Also last night I went out to take pictures of the beautiful sunset and for some reason my little Sony refused to recognize the colors. All I got was shades of gray - not so pretty!
And yesterday our Verizon cell phone started to tell me that "this device doesn't support this SD card" WHAT the heck. Have not done anything to the phone - it is still working so won't worry about it. Maybe my magnetic field was all mixed up yesterday.
We are without a car again, the graphics on the side painter has it fixing a few things that weren't perfect according to him. Hopefully we'll get it back Friday...or...
Otherwise all is well here. Have hot coffee and Mexican pastries for all.

Mmm, Mexican pastries, thanks!

Sound like technology is being a pain in the butt for you. I often wonder how different life would be without it all; I mean I remember life without it with great fondness, but things are so interwoven now it would be hard to have it all go *poof*.

Meeting with the mortgage person today to see what's what for a new home. Dropped the price on FL condo yesterday so here's hoping it gets GONE!

Hope everyone has a super day.

I'm here and read it, but I can't always think of anything to say other than I am enjoying this wonderful view of the ocean and the perfect weather.

However, that is kind of a sensitive topic for a lot of people, so better not to say it!

Carol, maybe you have had your three things go wrong and things will start working. I hate to have a problem with my phone or computer when I'm on the road because my son can usually fix my stuff. We are having phone problems in the house. The living room plug isn't working and the plug where the answer machine was plugged has static. The only plug that is working is in my office so I had to run a line down the hall to the living room. I hate to have to call the phone company.

It has been raining off and on since last night. There is still a lot of rain in the gulf that is coming this way. East Texas was having street flooding but we haven't had that much rain down here yet. I need to go to town so hope it doesn't get too bad.

Yes, Judy, I envy you and your view.

Not yet, Mickie. They were closed for "cleaning" until a couple of days ago, but are now open. I am going out exploring and to run some errands tomorrow, but I might stop by the next day. Been grading papers today and most of yesterday.

It does make you wonder why they had to close for an entire week for cleaning. I wonder if they got cited by the health department, but regardless, I am sure the restaurant is REALLY clean now. My neighbors went out the day before yesterday and said the food was great.

Getting ready for Q! Decided to leave early tomorrow morning instead of after work today. Needed more time to get ready and get rested. Also been raining off and on and I didn't want to be driving in that after dark out in the desert. Supposed to rain for the next day or two. :( Oh well, we will have fun anyways, I am sure!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Barbie, Romeow, and Sophie, missing Lola! (and lots of ferrets running around in my heart!)
