Martin Luther KIng Day 2017

Good Morning all,
Another Monday, this one a federal holiday for some. Here it's just another day of the week other than County, State offices being closed and no mail etc. I remember watching MLK on his marches and the things he did to enanace life for the African Americans. He would probably be happy with some of the things that have changedover the years, then there are others that have not.
I too spent part of a morning at a local RV show on Saturday. Was fun looking at all the new trailers on the market from the brands that were there. Saw one, a Coachman Apex 269RBKS that was really neat for those looking for a wide open trailer. Three slides, one the dinette, one a sofa and the other the kitchen stove, fridge and counter. The sink is in an island in the middle of the floor. But the really neat thing was a walk in pantry. It was big and you can store a lot in there. First time I have see one like that in an RV. With the bathroom going the whole length of the back of the trailer, it would make a great rig for somebody who maybe wants to full time or has a large family or just wants room. It came in at 7,000 GWVR and has a 50 gallon water tank. Way too big for me, but nice nevertheless.
It was a beautiful weekend here. Temps in 20's to almost freezing and plenty of sunshine, with barely any wind. Great for those who came up from other areas to play in the snow or even for those of us who live up here. Dogs and I took two walks and I spent parts of both days raking some snow down off my house roof as it's getting deep up there. Good physical exercise for the arms and shoulders. I was thinking of getting somebody out here to shovel off the roof but now with the weather forecast calling for temps in the 40's and possible 50 for next week, it will melt a lot of it down. Have been looking at the pictures of all the ice storm damage out west. Sure is a mess. Hope none of our forum sisters are caught in it. We have some mixed precip coming in here late tonight, but nothing like that.
Well, time to strip the bed, wash the sheets, run the vac etc. and get my day started. Already made some hard boiled eggs while I was eating breakfast, so that's done. Hope you have a nice day and those in the path of the ice storm yet, keep safe and be prepared.
