Good Morning,

Well, it's Monday again. Heading toward the middle of January already. Seems like we just celebrated New Years. But my favorite month of winter is coming. I love February. Usually we have a pretty good does of sunshine in Feb. here but even if not, it's a short month and means that after that we have one month of hard winter left before spring starts to work in. Last year, winter left in March and our snow was gone by end of month. If it keeps coming like it has, it might be gone by July this year  We set a new snow record for December of 79.8 inches and as of a week ago, were at 105.2 inches for the season, which has since been added to. That's 3 feet above normal for the season so far. We got snow over the weekend and have two storms coming this week. So..... I've seen it do this before and wonder if maybe we will break that 207 inch record, but then winter wimps out later. No complaints here though as it gets me out in the fresh air and I get my exercise clearing it out. There's only about 24 inches or so on the ground. Hope you gals in the south who aren't used to the cold, get warmed up. It's supposed to warm up a bit here too.

Otherwise, not much doing here. Did get some ceiling paint for the living room and plan to do that this week. Debating wall color right now. Have a full gallon left from bedroom, so might just continue on with that since I only need to buy one more rather than two if I change colors. Am already thinking toward the kitchen which will be last room I will do. Will paint spare bathroom first.

Barbie, sure am going to be glad when you can move to CA. Seems an awful of drama going on for you right now. I thought you were planning to move sooner, why thewait till February? MIckie, you and Mary sound very content where you are. And hopefully having some fun looking for that new RV yet. I'm going to a camper show this coming weekend. It's being put on by a local dealer with a lot of different brands, but will be fun to go look. Admission is by cash donation or 3 non perishable food items for the homeless shelter food pantry. Haven't decided what I am going to donate as yet. Thought about cereal, but they will probably get an overload of that.

Well, the Hardee Lake GTG is over for some of you I know you had a great time and Liz, you did a beautiful blog post on that. Really enjoyed reading it.

Well, need to do some financial book work this morning before i head to town to spend some more money  Gotta stock up on perishable stuff before the storms arrive and I stay put for a few days. Also checking with some insurance agents in town on truck insurance quotes. So you all have a nice day out there. Travel safe those who will be leaving the GTG, keep warm, those in the cold areas, rest of you have a nice day.

Morning Sue!

If you have any canned beans, those make excellent donations, they've gotten expensive and they are a great protein source for folks who can't afford or don't want meat.

Busy day here today, Mary made cookies yesterday and I said I'd scrub the cookie sheets (they're special ones and she loves them so they get a hand wash and dry). I'm cleaning all the guns we have since we took a class and used them a lot, they got really dirty. Cool thing I found to clean them, it's a cleaner that "green" and smells like wintergreen, so much less stinky than the old stuff. Then I'm making a big pot of chili, YUM!

Finally warming up a bit here, it's going to hit 30, and maybe 50 by Wednesday, woot!

Off to work soon... :( Was supposed to be my day off but one gal got hurt the other night (at home) and they needed someone to fill in for her today. It will be a short one just til 1pm. Yesterday we were really busy again because we were short-handed.

Sue, I can't move before Feb because my new apt won't be available until then. Will be going to Q the week after next too.

Have a good day! :D

Good morning ladies
Micki, I love the smell of that stinky stuff for cleaning guns. I know I'm
the oddball. Used to do mine and hubbies all the time back in the day.
I had a day yesterday, took a drive up over Apache trail as I had never
been there. Loved Apache lake, and a great campground. Wish I had taken
pictures of the campground. Some sites had electric and a few big motorhomes
the camphost had a big fifth wheel but honestly the road going is really
narrow and scary for the bigger units. You could only access it from the
Roosevelt Lake side of the trail. The other end is Canyon Lake and Tortilla
Flats. All in all, the buttes, vistas and canyons were fabulous.
Training my replacement today so I get to sit and observe. I'm doing a
great job of being on the internet :-)
Y'all have a great day, be safe.

Arrived back in Florida last night from Ohio. Cold here but not as cold as Ohio!! Glad to be back in my own home on wheels.

Went to new doctor when there. Funny thing is that they got my weight wrong by 30 pounds when they weighed me! I can guarantee you that I did not lose 30 pounds in one day. :o The rough thing is when I go back for a repeat visit and it shows I have GAINED 30 pounds. Will take some explaining. (Actually, I have lost 6 pounds over last six months, but no way can I accomplish the 30 they have ascribed to me by then.

Warmed up slight today from last nights 39 degrees. I had back furnace and electric heater going last night. And people wonder why I have a down comforter! Tomorrow, I head to Gamble Rogers State park, right on the Atlantic Ocean, north of Daytona and south of Flagler Beach. Have a great site with view of ocean and am going to be there for 14 days--Yea!!!

New semester starts today, but no papers due until next week, so I still have a bit of time to relax. Only double class this semester, however, which is more doable than triple I had last semester. Last week I read the Debbie Reynold's book and have another to read this week, so like the spare time for doing that.

Judy - be sure to hit Snack Jacks, just up the road from Gamble Rogers. Dumpy old place right on the water, the only parking is valet (free), but it's really not too far of a walk. Best fish tacos on the planet, lots of other amazing food too.
