Good Morning,

Hope you all had a nice Christmas, whether alone or with friends and family. I had a quiet Christmas Eve enjoying some great music and carols by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir followed by the Boston Pops Holiday concert. Then mass yesterday and dinner at friends.

So back to normal today. It's raining out. Prior to that there was supposed to have been some freezing rain, don't know if it did. Not going out to find out.

Really enjoyed reading all the posts from yesterday. I did one too, but it apparently went poof into cyberspace. But I had wanted to say what a wonderful group of ladies on this forum. So much caring, sharing, compassion and knowledge. I am so happy I came across it. Never in my dreams did I ever think I would own an RV and even travel around the country on my own. I feel like others have said, that I have friends all over, some I have the pleasure of knowing now, and others yet to meet. Thank you Beth, for starting this.

Gmorning Sue & Donna & all to follow :)

Was so wonderful to read all the Christmas wishes yesterday--our forum family is very special! Sue, sorry yours "poofed," so I'm happy to see it this morning:)

Donna, I too had thought I'd get to the bank today, but decided to check if this is one of those "Monday" holidays--it is, at least here. So will be staying home, cleaning house, & savoring the memories of my wonderful holiday with my family:)

Y'all have a great day & BE SAFE wherever you are! 8-)

We have another warm day. It didn't make it to 80 for Christmas but it was 77. So nice to go out without a coat.

Our banks are closed today. Usually they close early before a holiday.

I didn't get any newspapers this weekend so I don't know what the after Christmas sales are. Not that I need anything. The only present I need to get is something for my son's girlfriend. I'll probably just take them out to eat sometime.

I need to clean up my office. Next week I will have to start a new file box and get ready for taxes. We'll see if I can get it done before the deadline.

Late evening here...

Spent most of the weekend listening to my roommate arguing with her daughter and husband. Her daughter is so sweet and tries to do everything right but she still gets yelled at. I feel bad for her. My roommate is so hard on her and if she tries to speak up and defend herself (nicely), mom breaks down and starts crying or pouts. So I stayed in my room most of the weekend.

It was cool here yesterday, only 53*. It was 33* in Minnesota with freezing rain which caused a ton of accidents and closed roads all over the state. Got a call from one of my brothers yesterday to wish me a Merry Christmas. He said he had my dad over on Christmas Eve and it went pretty well. I had my dad's neighbor bring over a blueberry pie from me, and I guess he was very happy about that. He is still really into the lottery scam thing. He told my brother that as soon as he gets his $80 million dollars and his Mercedes, he plans to drive out to California to visit me... first of all, he will never get the money or the car, but he doesn't even have a drivers license anymore. He is still living in his own little world.

I worked for 6 hours today and made over $60 in tips and did 20 haircuts! Busy day! I was surprised. I will be getting more hours after this week since one of the stylists gave her notice this morning. The only reason they let that guy go last week was because he had too many requests (from clients he brought there from where he used to work). So not only is he gone but so are all of his clients. Not too smart! The new GM is not doing a very good job. The gal who is leaving (assistant manager) got written up because the customer wait times were too long one day last week when she was working. Well, when you cut down to only 2 stylists for each shift the week before Christmas, that is what happens! Also not a good decision, and she was mad enough to go find another job. So glad I am leaving. Hopefully, things will be good where I am going. The manager who asked me to come back to San Diego just took personal leave for a few months to take care of her sick grandmother, so there is an interim manager there for now.

Anyways, too much drama going on around here! I got my new little TV set up finally so I have something to do when I am holed up in my room! Gonna be near 70 for the next few days so I can spend more time outside by the pool or take walks, when I am not at work. I have several new books to read but I have a hard time reading when I am stressed out so it is better if I can get outside.
