Merry Christmas Everybody and Feliz Navidad as they say here in Kino Bay. In a few hours a group of people will be coming to my casita for Christmas breakfast. Everyone is bringing something, so not a lot of work.
May peace and love fill your hearts and spread out to all you meet. Peggy

Merry Christmas forum family,
The excitement of opening presents is over here and Toby was the first to destroy his new toy. Sweet little Andy slept through the excitement, his job of waking Mom up at 5:00 makes him need long naps.
I just looked at the date I joined this forum and was surprised to see it was July of 2008 and before that, several of us were together in another similar forum for many years. I have learned so much and enjoyed so many great stories; Sparkles adventures, the epic of all, was when she parked on the beach and the tide kept rising as we watched! Another that left us all laughing for a long time was the adventures of Foo Foo. We all fell in love with stories of Tina's (Birdbybird) dogs. We have shared many sorrows and tried to help one another with serious decisions, disappointments and loss. I feel definitely blessed to have such a special family that continues to grow.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all. Yes this forum is a lot of different things to many diverse people. Facebook may have slowed the conversations on here but I don't think it has replaced us. Lori and I were talking about the forum just yesterday. Lori's 1st Pennsylvania GTG (09?) was my first forum GTG. I met Paulette and Peggy (currently not in Connecticut) and a couple of folks that aren't on here anymore or never were. This forum has helped change the shape of my retirement dreams for sure!
Enjoy your holidays and create some joy!

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope everyone gets to celebrate it as they choose. Mom and Dad will be here shortly for biscuits and gravy (Mom won't make them and Dad loves them). Followed by opening presents with the little one. She actually slept in till 8am
Then I'm looking forward to a quiet dinner of my traditional prime rib and sweet potatoes.

Merry Christmas to all the wonderful ladies who encouraged me when I first started thinking about full-timing when I retire. After 2 summers, I'm still learning, and will probably continue to as newbie type of questions. Thank you all for welcoming me into your group. I hope I can continue to meet more of you as time goes by and can continue to GTG with those I've met already.
Have a wonderful holiday!

Merry Christmas gals!
The sun is finally out after a couple days of off and on heavy rains. May go hiking later on nearby. Chilly this morning too. Have my blanket wrapped up around me. Haven't heard the heat come on at all and these houses out here are obviously not well insulated.
I am really missing my mom today. She made Christmas so special for me (and everyone around her)! She always made me a huge stocking each year filled with all sorts of little goodies. I always looked forward to opening that up on Christmas morning even as an adult! I am sure she is sad, also, that things have changed so much with our family and we don't get into Christmas like we used to. Everyone has kind of gone their separate ways now. Am also thinking of my dad today. I had his neighbor bring over a blueberry pie for me yesterday. I always get him one for Christmas.
This forum and you ladies have changed my life a lot as well! I have gotten the encouragement I needed to live my dreams. I never would have made it to California (6 years ago and again soon) if it hadn't been for this group! I know I will eventually get my RV or TT as well, but have gotten to do some traveling anyways without them so far. Great experiences and great women on here!
Have an awesome Christmas with friends, family and/or furkids!
