good morning to all Another beautiful day here in Mazatlan. Weather is going to be perfect so we decided to pick up friends and take them to some of the smaller towns up the mountain. One is Malpica where there is a wonderful bakery. In the back of someones home. Then on to Concordia, a little town that has been burned down at least 3 times by different invaders. And maybe all the way to Copala, a silver mining town established by the Spanish in the mid 1500s.
Should be a fun day.
Everyone out there - keep warm if you're in the north and enjoy you time if you're in the south.
Drive safely if out on the road.

It's Tuesday!

Yup, it's already Tuesday, I had to look at my phone to make sure I had that right! I just shake my head at the fact I don't keep up with the days anymore. Used to not understand how my mom could possibly not know the day and now I understand! No work or school schedules to help keep it straight! With age comes wisdom!

Waiting for the next round of snow and really cold temps to hit us! Just hope it stays snow and not the rain mix we had yesterday. My driveway and sidewalk is all nice and clear and dry! My arms are a bit sore today from yesterday's exercise!

The pups and I finally made it to the recycle center and got rid of all the cans and jars I cleaned out of my pantry the other day. They love going for rides! Then headed into town and did some shopping at WalMart and Kohl's. Two stores and I was ready to come home!

CArol, hope you're having a better day. And Beth, sounds like you're enjoying your down time. And loving the pics of the birds, Liz. And other critters too! Need to get dressed and get something accomplished today! Hope everyone enjoys your day and travel safe.

I've been sleeping in. Trying to get a better start on today as lots to do. Unhooking here in Benson... Will pay for my electric, then head to Tucson. Stopping for propane in Benson, then first stop in Tucson will be a truck stop for my rig to get washed. I want to be rid of the traveling dirt.

From there to my new home for the winter. Quick set up, and I'll take the car for a brake inspection... Doing this as a paid shopper. And I don't mind seeing what they say.

Peaches will really miss it here. We can walk in the desert, her off leash often, and there's the great dog play area. She'll be doing lots of walking campground loops for the next few months.

Ok, off to get myself going.

Semester is almost over, and I have to turn in grades tonight so I can get my computer destroyed. I will be on the phone for several hours while Dell replaces the operating system, which will hopefully fill all the problems I am having. I backed everything up because it will destroy all of my photos and documents, so it is a little scary.

Got an oil change yesterday, which took several hours. Today I have to drive out to get a propane fill and stop at a post office to mail packages of stockings to my grandkids. They are an early Christmas goody-bag sort of thing. I pick up little interesting things as I travel and then periodically send them goody bags. They do not get to see this strange grandma very often, so I try to make up for it occasionally.

Got most of my shopping done, online of course. Sent my son money for one kid so he can shop at the hobby store. Kids are getting older and fussier, so gift cards may be in store next year for the older ones!

I had to resort to gift cards for my grandson several years ago because I didn't have a clue what to get him. I can barely carry on a conversation with him because I don't know what he's talking about.

I rode to Baton Rouge with my friend yesterday. We went to the big mall for a while but I didn't find anything I couldn't live without. They are going to have a bigger sale before I will get anything. We managed to go early and get out of town before the afternoon traffic got really bad.

When I got home I made a vegetable beef soup. I forgot how much soup my recipe makes so we have a lot of soup. I will freeze some in individual servings for quick meals.

I'm trying to get in touch with my younger son. Yesterday he was wanting to go shopping. His car is still in the shop. They are waiting on a part to fix his door. It was suppose to be in Friday and we still haven't hear from them.

It is still warm here and scattered showers in the area. I don't think we will get much rain until the cold front pushes the rain through.
