Heading out grocery shopping in a couple minutes. Some, we know, are missing in action on their mule trip I the Grand Canyon. What's your excuse...

I was in Cardio rehab, Beth. Bought a new carry on. It looks like a lunch sack and loads from the top. Not much else happening. Enjoy the rest of this beautiful day. Peggy

Lol, I'm stranded in el Paso TX , picked up the motor home last night,
headed to WalMart for overnight but didn't make it. Fire in the engine.
Got it put out with the fire extinguisher and the company that did
the engine rebuild put us up in a motel and the RV back to the shop.
No news yet but they are on their way to pick us up. Hopefully no
more issues and can get it home. Maggie is missing her momma.
Y'all have a great day, and I have some great gtg stories I'm savin for
y'all.

Ava, you sure do have the wrong kind of excitement sometimes!
Hope you get home without further troubles!
I went to the post office to get my absentee ballot and voted while I was there. Then grocery shopping. Beautiful day for a ride and some great conversations. Trying to talk myself into doing laundry - don't really mind but hate getting up there and finding machines are all busy.

Morning…at little late. I remembered to say Rabbits yesterday, but didn’t have a chance to check in. My sister was here. Not much is new. Bronc had a good time trick or treating. It was the first year that he really had it figured out. We are having unseasonably warm weather for this time of the year and the trick or treaters were out in droves.
Been crocheting stocking caps for the local angel tree that always has mittens and caps for the underprivileged in the area. Also making some for Sean to take back to the Rosebud reservation. He started working in the ER at the IHS hospital. He has my friends and me going through closets for clothing to take back with him too. He works 5-6 days and then is home for 4-5 days. Monday his Explorer was packed to the gills when he left. Have three people who have bags for him to take back next time.
So that’s it for me. Can’t want to hear about the Grand Canyon trip when the mule packers return!

It's a sunny Wednesday here in my part of northern California. I'm off shortly to Curves and rub errands. Gee I'm glad a good fire extinguisher was available! Make sure that shop gets you a new one, maybe two! Thinking about our mule travelers today and looking forward to their photos. Have a good day all.
Poor Mel still has a painful ear but his hearing is much improved. The good news with improved hearing is he no longer blasts the tv. The bad news is he hears EVERYTHING I say. ROTFLOL !

Hi folks. My new computer with Windows 10 is super picky, the main reason I don't come here. I did say rabbits two nights ago and hope we have a better month than last month. We are in FL and will be here for probably six months.
Velda, I'm sorry about your hubbies earache, but maybe you can both watch TV at a decent decibel.
Because it's been so much trouble to get here, I haven't caught up on all posts, although I do keep track on Facebook. I wish all of you with birthday's the best.
In the event any of you might be near Ocala during the winter months, give me a holler.

I peeked in earlier but didn't have much to say except to complain about my mosquito bites, so did not post.
Actually, I am working the equivalent of a full-time job this semester, teaching three condensed classes (meaning more work per week for students and for me) and trying to finish the update to my online class, but having regular mini-panic attacks trying to keep this all straight and make sure everything is ready when I open a new week's packet! The good news is that the extra income will help me catch up on all the dental and motorhome expenses from the past year. So, back to work.
Got a great view out of my window of the Okeechobee River and boats going through the St. Lucie Lock, however. Great COE campground, and I have one of prime sites right along the river.

Velda, hope your husbands ear gets better. Both my boys went through the tubes in the ears when they were small, one of them twice. It's funny how husbands can hear what they want to hear. I get so tired of saying everything twice but if I say something I don't want him to hear he does.
It is still in the mid 80's here but very windy today. It is really getting dry and no predicted rain for a while. I keep hearing rumors of a cold front in a week or so. As dry as it is I wouldn't think the mosquitos would be bad but right at dark they attack.
Pat, it's so nice of your son to try to help the people on the reservation. Bronc is sure a cute puppy.
Ava, hope you can get the motorhome and you home with no more problems. I second getting more fire extinguishers. I had a fire one time and the one that came with the motorhome was useless. Thank goodness I was at a filling station with a big extinguisher.
I have been thinking about our mule riders. I guess they are hiking around the bottom of the canyon. I think I would be sitting on an ice pack. lol

The mule ladies story should be interesting.
I took the same trip when I was a young woman, at a time when I owned my own horse and rode every day.
I was VERY fit.
I returned from the bottom of the canyon nearly unable to walk (from being in the saddle for hours and hours) and had saddle sores (raw skin) on the inside of my legs where they rubbed the saddle and the rigging from my ankles to my crotch.
Still and all, it was amazing and unforgettable.
in more ways than one.
